Have eaten here several times since my last review. Its still fast, cheap, easy, and average. They still have a small lunch buffet which is tasty. Steer away from the shrimp toast as it is very mushy. Its a good place to get a General Tso fix and they are very bust so food is fresh.

Have always had fast friendly service when ordering. Can’t say I ever had a dish I didn’t like. We have tried sweet and sour chicken, several of their soups, beef and broccoli, butter pepper shrimp, triple delight and more.

After moving to a new neighborhood last September I have been looking for a good Chinese takeout place close to my new house. I have found it. Had the Curry chicken from Jade Garden III on Sunday and it was possibly the best I have ever had. Order was also ready fast and the portions very generous. Highly recommend.

Jade Garden III makes the BEST carryout Chinese food in Virginia Beach, hands down. I’ve tried several other places over the past 6 years, but Jade Garden III continues to reign supreme. What do they make that’s good? Everything. My personal favorite is the Butter Pepper Shrimp, a specialty item. The General Tso’s Shrimp is also very, very good. In 6 years of ordering from here I’ve never had a bad experience with the service or food. This place is highly recommended — you won’t be disappointed!

best chinese ive had in the area… im very skeptical of chinese spots after several bad experiences. like ordering beef and getting a whole order of inedible fat, or hardly any meat all noodles or rice, overly salty or greasy. im sure many of us had our bad experiences, cause with chinese its hit or miss and when u find a place u keep it in mind. The service is extremely polite and the place is really clean and my beef lo mein wasnt greasy, salty, or the homerun… Alot of clean carefully cut meat that had absolutey no fat… i was delghtfully surprised. the chicken wings have a yellowish seasoning(tumeric??) it was different but good fried rice great. havent tried anything else but wiil be back.

I was disappointed that this Jade doesn’t deliver, even though on the Unilocal site says it does. Please correct that tid bit of info. The food is well worth trying to get when you don’t have the transportation to get there.

First, the lady that took my order was so sweet. I don’t think I’ve ever had such a polite experience in a Chinese takeout restaurant. My General Tso’s chicken with pork fried rice was great as was the chicken lo mein.

This place is tasty. We went in at 9:30 on a Sunday night because I was craving general Tso’s. I am very picky with General Tso’s cause a lot of restaurants are often soggy and not good. I got the combination and how can you beat the pork fried rice, egg roll, and chicken for 6.75? The chicken was good and had a little crunch without being overdone. Nice size pieces of chicken. The rice was good, and you could tell it was fresh and not old rice that sat in the steamer all day. I was happy because it was right before close and I hate getting«the leftovers.» We also ordered crab ragoons and these are the triangle shaped ones with a sweeter inside filling! Some of my favorites! We also got the teriyaki chicken skewers. They were tender, smoky and sweet. We spent only $ 17 and it was a lot of food. I will def be returning and using this place as one of my go to late night take out spots!

There are more than one Jade Garden Restaurants in Virginia Beach. This one is within walking distance of BJs Wholesale Club. They offer a satisfying lunch buffet for less than $ 10. The buffet is small but fresh — the food is replenished regularly. And the soda machine is accessible by the customer. If you don’t want the buffet, you can also order from the menu for eat in or takeout.

This place has a great little buffet at lunch and their carry out is fast and efficient. Food Quality is great too. The workers/owner are very nice and friendly as well. I recommend them to anyone.

This is the best for take-out. Sesame Chicken with rice was very good and the price was also good.

When we go in to eat they remember what we order(we usually order the same thing) and even when we call in our order they recognize our voice. The best teriyaki chicken ever. We recently moved and I am really going to miss this place.

The Jade Garden staff is always nice and the food is always good. I love their egg rolls. I prefer the won ton soup and beef and broccoli.

Some of the better Chinese takeout I’ve had. The staff is friendly and quick, and the prices are great. The house fried rice is surprisingly delicious and full of meat and veggies. This will be our go-to place for Chinese.

We have purchased take-out from here a handful of times, and they never disappoint. Keep in mind that they are a Chinese-American restaurant/carry-out place. If you want authentic Chinese cuisine, look elsewhere. I must also point out that I am from NY, and I prefer that type of ‘Chinese/American’ take-out. We have tried MANY Chinese take-out places around our area, and this one always comes out on top. Their won ton soup is good, no extra pork strips though. The dumplings are great, they are also my fav. We’ve eaten a myriad of items off their menu, and I can sum up my opinion by saying, «If you are looking for regular Chinese Take-out, Jade Garden III is the best in VA Beach». I haven’t found any item that didn’t taste good. I have even tried different items(that I normally wouldn’t order), because I trust their cooking. They also have a lunch buffet for $ 5.75. Tip: if you order a ‘Lunch Combo’ you can save some $. It is the same size as the dinner combo, minus the eggroll. Tip #2: the fried rice is very good, and has a lot of ‘extras’ like pork, onion, etc. , and it’s not ‘over-fried’(dark brown).

Is Asian fusion kind of like Tex-Mex? Is it like the American version of asian food? I don’t know, but if so I would say that Jade Garden qualifies as Asian-American fusion. Chicken wings and chow mein? Done. Sweet tea and fried wontons? You got it dude. It’s cheap, it’s fast and it ain’t too bad either. Any place where you can get three pounds of food for $ 10 in less than ten minutes is good for me.

If you take it for what it is(cheap Chinese), this place is great. They are fast and friendly and tasty! It reminds me of the Chinese we used to order in college. The General Tso’s and the Pepper Steak combos are our faves, plus wonton soup. :)
