Always great fresh sandwiches on the menu. Great salad bar also. Kids like the free ice cream. They always have great desserts also. Fast friendly service and clean.

Love, love, love Jason’s deli! The new location is just across the parking lot from the old location and is open and nice. I adore their salad bar!!! It has something for everyone and the dressings are fantastic. I love the hummus and the pesto pasta salad on the bar as well. Their chicken chili, with diced red onions and shredded cheddar cheese is the«lickety split!» Another very cool plus is that there is free ice cream when u dine in. I never finish my food here because it’s so filling and I have to save room for my ice cream dream. It’s good for groups and family friendly. They stay busy at lunch but they move thru the line pretty quickly. I will def be back again.

Yes, five stars for Jason’s Deli! Why? — The place is always clean, and being cleaned constantly(from what I’ve seen all the times I’ve been.) — They use lots of organic ingredients and their food always, I say again, always tastes fresh! My favorite is the California Club. I always end up getting that, or if I do order a half & half combo, it’s still my «half sandwich» go-to. Who can resist a fresh croissant, filled with greens, tomato, turkey, bacon, and avocado!?! All of their soups are delicious too — my favorites are their Broc & cheese, and lately I’ve been ordering their(seasonal) Lobster Corn Chowder. Yum! — I’m also always quite impressed with how polite and kind everyone working is! In my opinion, they’ve pretty much even got Chic-fil-a beat. From the cashiers, to the people delivering the food, the folks who give me the to-go bag, the ones I’ve asked to refill the cones(because they’ve run out), which leads me to the next, last & best thing– — FREEICECREAM! Yes, Free and unlimited — you can have your soft serve Vanilla, Chocolate, or Swirl in a little ice cream dish or in a cone! They even have chocolate syrup at the ice cream station. Ahhh. This review needs to end here, right now, because that pretty much sums it up. :) Total fan of this place.

I had the New York Yankee and it was amazing. The restaurant is clean and stocked. Very friendly people working here. I had a bad experience at a Jason’s Deli and this made up for it. It’s a great place to have lunch.

Best salad bar in the country. Hands down. Deli sandwiches are pretty good too. Wish they were in Pennsylvania.

Delicious sandwiches! Broccoli cheddar is very similar to Paneras. Love that you can have fruit as a side!

You can’t go wrong with Jason’s Deli. The food is too fresh and too good. I love this new location. It has a warm atmosphere and lots of space to choose from when dining in. I think my biggest complaint is I had no idea where the trash can was. Luckily, there were people coming around and picking up our trays but at one point we had a pretty big stack on the table.

Ok, I’ve had Jason’s Deli before when they catered at my work but I recently visited the store for the first time. Of course, it looks very nice inside. The waiting area for the to-go orders was actually quite plush! Now onto what earned them this one star… First, the cashier was RUDE(or at least didn’t care about making a great first impression). Second, the sandwich I received was NOT what I ordered. Third, the taste(actually, the lack thereof) of both of our orders was AWFUL! The bread, veggies and meat were all so bland! I don’t see myself going back unless I get the exact name of whatever yummy sandwich the folks at my job order for us when they get catering.

I liked Jason’s Deli in their old location, but I love them in their new spot. The order lines flow better here, as do the entrance and exit paths. Wait staff is still awesomely helpful and polite. Food is consistently great. Prices are very reasonable. I usually get the salad bar with a bowl of soup. The salad bar is full of super fresh offerings. My favorite soups are broccoli cheese and chicken pot pie. Both are comforting and delicious.

Surprisingly as much as I love Jason’s Deli this week was my first time at there new location. So those not familiar with the history of Jason’s Deli in Pembroke they were attached to the mall three months ago. Now they are in the parking lot just off Virginia Beach Blvd in the old Max & Erma’s. For me a very smart move with more space for dining and a dedicated parking lot. My daughter and I hit them up at the height of a weekday rush. The parking was clear of debris as was the entry to the front door. There are a few tables for out door dining, around the same as they had before. One table not occupied did have a tray with dishes. Once inside I was excited. They really changed it up and the atmosphere is totally different with it’s floor to ceiling open concept. A really sweet dedicated area for take out orders is up front with nice cushy seats. The line forms just slightly inside the door and there was indeed a line. Only one cashier to begin with and another was added thankfully. i ran into the manager who recognized me. He said business had been booming, up 20% over other store. Menus have been upgraded from a paper tri-fold to a laminate type of paper and did away with the folding menu which is a plus. The cashier appears a wee stressed, but got the job done with no mistakes. Typically I’m use to more friendly but I get it they were mobbed. They may have been still busy, but the main rush was settling down at around 1PM so plenty of seats. They were staff cleaning tables, sweeping and moving tables back into place. I am not holding it against them that several tables still needed to be cleared when we arrived, they were working on it. The food was delivered to the table as it always had been by them finding the number placed at the table. The woman who delivered it carefully placed the plates and provided napkins and silverware. She asked it there was anything else. This was as good as it gets and I was very pleased. I got my usual California Club with chips and guacamole. There guacamole is to die for. Thick and tasty. The sandwich was on par from what I’m used to on a fresh croissant. My daughter got here usual kids macaroni which is huge and creamy. I really am in love with the new dining room. It is open, fresh and inviting. The conservative browns and gray colors work well in the space. The salad bar is up front with plenty of space to move around. The drink area is to the back with no obstructions. It’s a really great layout. When leaving I noticed the same tray on the outside table after around 35 minutes, not good and considered a reduction down to a three but cut them a break since they were working so hard inside. Management need to make sure staff is rotating outside on a regular basis to clear tables and pick up any debris. I am still a fan of the Jason’s Deli brand and think the new space is fantastic and a great move a few hundred feet. I am also thrilled to see the same management at the new location. I look forward to a return visit soon.

Plesently suprised, i normally get togo so i dont see the bar here, but today i took a seat, and enjoyed the complentary garlic toast i dipped in my french onion soup that i got with my pick two. And loving the again complentary desserts gingerbread muffins and soft serve and theres no mark up the servings sizes are fair. I rate this place for its affordability and quailty!

The new Jason’s Deli is SOMUCH better than the previous location at the mall. It’s larger, accommodates more diners, and doesn’t have a cramped front entrance like the mall did. I always felt so rude for asking people to move when I walked in to the old location because I always get the salad bar and you could skip the line and just pay at the kiosk. Now, I don’t have to fuss with people being in my way! Give me my salad bar!!! I mean seriously, give me the salad bar. Oh and the free ice cream(but only when you dine in). The salad bar is, in my opinion, the best darn salad bar out there. Do you remember when Ruby Tuesdays was the ish when it came to salad bars? Well NOTANYMORE… Jason’s is all you need when you want a delicious salad made by none other than yourself. Heck, skip the Farm Fresh salad bar too and GOHERENOW! The ranch dressing is something to write home about, I’m not kidding. I have to calm myself down with the dressing when I’m there because I could possibly drain the whole dish. As I’m writing this review, I’m already plotting my next visit… a little romaine, some cucumbers, zucchini, cherry tomatoes, carrots, red onion, artichokes, peas, broccoli, hard boiled egg, cheese, maybe some chicken and ranch(lots of ranch) dressing… mmmmm

I haven’t been to Jason’s Deli since they moved from Pembroke Mall to the former location of Max and Erma’s. Originally, it was supposed to become a Chick-Fil-A, but they backed out and then Jason’s Deli came in. Overall, I love the new look and feel of the inside as opposed to the old design at the other location. The look and feel inside is much more modern and upscale. The colors match well with the place and I love the local pictures throughout as well. This place is much more open and easier to move around. Since I came in around 4 pm, it wasn’t that busy in here; I normally do early dinners since I am up early in the mornings. On this visit, we were greeted immediately by Alexa(AJ) with a great smile. You don’t see that very often when going into places like that. I had ordered what I would normally get, which was the ranchero wrap. While waiting for the food to come out, I had some of the crackers and muffins. When the order came to the table, it was AJ who brought it to the table as well, still with a great smile and making sure that we had everything needed for the meal. The ranchero wrap was excellent as always, and look forward to having it again. The typical free ice cream is there as well, which is always good to have. After eating, I was getting a refill for a drink, and the manager was by there and asked me how I liked the new location, as he remembered me from being there at the old location. After talking to him a bit, I found out that Chick-Fil-A was originally planning to take the spot as I had heard all along. However, Chick-Fil-A decided not to move to the location. At that point, Jason’s Deli put the offer in and took the location. One of the reasons they moved was because they have more control over the hours of operation. The manager said they closed earlier because the mall required them to. Also, having the drive through is a great convenience if you want to get in and out. You can order online and pick up your order through the drive through instead of having to go in. They went on to tell me that this was one of the first Jason’s Deli locations to get this new concept, and the owners of Jason’s Deli came here to see this location after it was done because they had only seen it in plans and renditions, not in person. He said business has been up since they moved, and some that live right there never knew Jason’s Deli was here until they moved to the new location. Anyways, I thought it was worth sharing these insights. Overall, this is a great place to come. You definitely get what you pay for. Quality is paramount here and the food is great. As mentioned before, service was excellent as well, and it was due to this service experience as to why I gave the location five stars instead of four. If you want to get some good quality food at reasonable prices, this is definitely a place to come to. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

Yesterday was my first time here since it was taken over after Max & Erma’s left. I decided to come here two days in a row. First impressions, parking is awesome and easy but it’s a bit of a walk to the front of the building. Kind of reminded me of going to the grocery store. I noticed a very accessible drive thru during my mini hike to the entrance and thought that would be great for fast pickup. There is a small area with a half dozen tables outside of the restaurant. I contemplated eating outside, but the afternoon sun was angled so that the umbrellas did little for shade. Inside was large and spacious, i kind of got a cafeteria type vibe off the place. That didn’t deter me from the food though. Looking at the menu on the wall only revealed about 8 items, which is in stark contrast to the vastness of the place and the size of the own kitchen. I was just starting to get disappointed when the girl behind the register informed me about the much larger paper menu in front of the register. I found this kind of odd but decided to go with it. I asked the girl there about done of the menu items, what i was generally looking for and some of her suggestions. She was all too happy to answer anything i could think of to ask. I could tell she was genuinely excited and proud of the place, she was very informative. I ended up going with the Beefeater(thier take on a french roast beef dip sandwich with au jus), a home made strawberry shortcake and a fountain drink. They have some bottled juices and house labeled sodas and also your basic self serve soda fountain and 3 different iced teas. The sweet tea was just ok, and i was surprised there wasn’t any fresh juices available. The Beefeater was huge. It came with a choice of regular or baked chips. I went with regular and they were just that, pretty much Ruffles right out of the bag. The sandwich itself was a toasted sub roll stuffed with enough hot roast beef that it was almost too much to eat and covered in melted cheese with a little mayo. The mayonnaise was only in the bottom«fold» of the sub roll and was way too thick in spots, causing me to use my napkin to remove the extra. Im not a huge fan of mayo on hot sandwiches anyway, but this was a little overkill. The thickness of the roast beef was not as thin as i usually prefer, but for this sandwich it was pretty darn near prefect. The big letdown of this sandwich was the au jus. I could tell it was from a powdered concentrate and was very gritty on the sides of the dipping cup as well as a little sludgy on the bottom. The last few dips were a little intense on the au jus because of this concentrated, not quite dissolved powder. I was so hoping that this would be real au jus from a real beef stock or pan juices. …no such luck here i guess. I could also detect a slight raw flour or corn starch undertone to the au jus that you get from instant powdered gravies. I reordered the same sandwich on my second visit in case this was a fluke, but no. Although this serving was decidedly less gritty than my first encounter, it was otherwise unchanged. The name«deli», for me, conjures thoughts of fresh cold cuts & cheeses, fresh breads, fresh fruits & veggies and ingredients. This place absolutely excels at the fresh fruit & veggie department with an awesome salad bar and tons of fruit selection. It has great cold cuts and cheeses. The bread seemed very fresh and flavorful. With a little tweaking on some of the beverages by adding fresh juices and an upgrade in side items this place can go from great to phenomenal! They do offer complimentary mini muffins, pickles, crutons, etc and also free self service soft serve ice cream, complete with sugar cone, which is just awesome as its pretty much all you can eat. Lots of pros, a few fixable cons. Ill come here again. 4 stars, fix menu display, instant au jus and add fresh juices and you got yourself and easy 5 stars here.

They have a truly gigantic loaded baked potato with bacon, cheese, sour cream, butter, the works. It’s good. The tuna melt is also yummy. They have gluten free bread and are overall pretty knowledgeable about food allergies. Would recommend!

Great service. Clean and good pricing. I had the quinoa mango shrimp salad which was great but dry without dressing but great with a lil. Nice amount of healthy choices. They now have a drive-thru & catering is available!

So much nicer than the last location. I dig it! Lots of happenings taking place at Jason’s Deli. It’s a good place to be and you’re bound to run into someone you know when you’re there. Unlike the last location they had tables crammed so tight together you were running into people. This place has more space to move around freely. And since it’s not in the mall anymore, going inside is a breeze and the parking situation is much better. I always go for the salad bar and that’s hard to mess up. So as long as things are clean and the food is fresh, which it is, I’m happy. Looking forward to going back since I’ll be on a salad binge until the end of July.

I got the salad bar and it was really good. It had all the helpings you would expect. All the ingredients were very fresh! I got a side of chicken with it to too it off. They had these little muffins that were delish! They also had an array of crackers, croutons and different types of desserts as part of the salad bar. In addition, they had soft serve ice cream as well.
