Great pizza! You can choose your sauce and all of your toppings, and they make it right in front of you. There are vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options. I had the regular crust with garlic sauce, cheese, spinach and veggie burger crumbles. The crust was one of the best I’ve ever had, light and crunchy with an excellent taste. The staff was very friendly and helpful, also. I think I’ve found my new favorite local pizza place.

It was delicious! I brought my 16 month old son in for lunch today, and we quite enjoyed ourselves. We each had a slice of pizza, and the ingredients are extremely fresh. The restaurant is clean, and the bathroom was as well. They have a changing station for babies, if you need one. We will be coming back. It reminds me of MOD Pizza in Washington State, which my husband and I loved and really miss. I can’t wait to bring the husband here now!

It was okay pizza… in California they have these subway style pizza bars everywhere and so my standards may be high. They didn’t have many good toppings options when I went like other reviews said. My boyfriend and I got 2 large pizzas and drinks for like 25 $(there was a special) which was a good deal… but my pizza wasn’t cooked thoroughly so I was decently disappointed.

This place is so good. You build your own pizza, and are charged by the crust size, not by topping… freaking genius. They have a vegan option too! Can’t wait to come back.

I can’t understand why all pizza places aren’t like this. Because man… pretty much any toppings you want!!!(Which btw… I pick the best toppings everrrrr!) Oh the possibilities! I absolutely love the concept. It’s just like Chipotle but for pizza! The toppings are fresh and the staff is friendly and helpful. Overall, we had a great family pizza night. We shall be back soon: D

Best pizza! Ever! Love that I can choose any toppings I want — no extra charge! And the ingredients are super fresh. Pile on the meats(so many to chose from!) and the veggies — yum! The place is clean and the staff is attentive.

This place is so cute. I love the«buffet style» of picking your toppings. They have a variety of toppings and each time I come everything looks super fresh. I love how we aren’t nickled and dimed for everything. Staff is super friendly and prices not too crazy for the value of what you get. Hope this place stays around for a long time

I am giving this place place 1 star because I drove 20 minutes to out of my way and got there 10 minutes before they closed but they had already locked up and were inside cleaning. I hate when restaurants lock up before the time they’re supposed to close. If the employees want to leave at 9:00 then post your hours as closing at 8:30!

Very good place. Pizza crust is crispy and tasty. They have lots of fresh ingredients and sauces you can choose. I don’t even usually like pizza but this place was really good! My daughter liked it also. It was also fairly fast which was surprising since fresh baked pizza usually takes awhile at other places.

This place is great! Friendly staff, fresh ingredients & a pleasant atmosphere. I just tried the salad & a slice of pizza today(one of the lunch specials is a salad, slice of pizza & drink for $ 9), but I can’t wait to come back & try a custom pizza.

I love the concept of making your own pizza, à la Subway or Chipotle! The appropriately named«Pie-o-neer» has a wide variety of fresh ingredients to put on your customized pizza, as well as an enthusiastic crew to explain the ordering process. Hubs & I were very happy with our customized pizza(I like a lot of veggies & he likes plain cheese) — we were also excited to learn that they have a 7-mile delivery radius! We will definitely take advantage of that fact in the future!

It’s a good place to go on any given day of the week. It was well worth the price knowing how fresh the ingredients were. I loved the aspect of being able to pick out every aspect of the pizza from your crust to your toppings. The concept is similar to Subway, but with pizza and all organic ingredients. My husband and I got a 14″ wheat pizza with marinara sauce, mozzarella cheese, tomato, chicken, Cremini Mushrooms, and artichoke hearts. The pizza had a thin crust. My husband and I will definitely return back here.

I must say, this place is very unique and a must place to visit. First off, they are a bit pricey and the largest pizza is a 14″ for $ 17, but you get unlimited, HEALTHY and TASTY options. They build it custom, right in front of you starting with the dough itself. There are some many options the creations are endless. And did I say unlimited?! They cook it and you pay at a a very simple tablet. You do have the option to add a tip to the bill when you check out. No pressure there. The place had constant foot traffic on a Tuesday night around 6:30. I definitely recommend a visit. Pricey, but expected!

I’ve been looking for a place like our favorite place, Pizza Studio and this is the closest thing to it in Virginia Beach. I didn’t like how they didn’t have different crust to pick from(comparing to Pizza Studio) but that’s the only flaw. My pizza was sooooo good… well my 2nd pizza because they burnt my first one lol. We will definitely be going back over a over. Would be 5 star if they wouldn’t have burnt my pizza. They weren’t even busy enough for it to happen. Pizza was excellent though.

Well I guess I have been under a rock because this gem of a place has been open since May and we JUST found it! For the reasonable price of $ 8.50 you can get a personal(«10) pizza made to order! You want extra artichoke hearts. no problem & no extra charge! If you are afraid to make your own creation they do have some tried and true recipes listed on the wall. They also serve salad & beer. I would write more but I think everyone else has covered everything. We WILL be back! :-)

Pizza… NY Style great! Taste… really good, but the sauce is more classic tomato based basic and for some reason, I wanted to taste a bit more garlic or other herbs to kick it up a notch! Atmosphere…really nice! It’s got this manly/warehouse/factory feel to it with good usage of cool lighting on the walls and a nice use of colors with black and grey tones… and has a now a days twist to it which I liked. They pulled that feel off well! Service…great! Felt like chipotle in how you could go up to the counter and see and order all the fresh toppings for your pizza if your so inclined :). Overall, we were happy with our lunch out and think they are doing a great job in a very highly competitive area for sure!

This place is located in Landstown Commons. The place used to be zPizza, though I never went in there while it was under that brand. This place is very similar to how things are done at Chipotle, Moe’s, or Qdoba, except that this is for pizza instead of Tex-mex. The overall décor inside is that there are dark colors in there, but seems to go well. Tables are primarily on the right side of the place. On the left is where the ordering begins. Pizzas come in two sizes, small(10 in — $ 8.50) and large(14 in — $ 17). Ordering begins with what type of dough you want. You can choose between original and wheat. They are all thin crust pizzas. Then, the dough is tossed and stretched right in front of you. Once that process is complete, you get to choose what sauce or sauces you want on it. The choices available when I was there was marinara, Alfredo, basil pesto, BBQ, and two garlic type sauces. For this one, I did both the garlic and basil pesto sauces. This was actually quite a good mix for the sauces. The next step was to put cheese on it, and how much. It doesn’t matter if you do extra cheese or not, as it will still be the same one flat price. The next step in the process includes the meats. I did a few different ones this time including pepperoni, bacon, and chicken. The last step before cooking was to choose what veggies and how much. I put quite a few different veggies on it, including roasted red peppers, green peppers, onions, and black olives. After that is done, the pizza is placed in the oven for cooking. The cooking time takes about 6 – 7 minutes, so it’s a pretty quick turnaround time. With all of the fresh ingredients, when the pizza came out, it looked great. Once I tasted the pizza, it was so much better. Everything on the pizza tasted and screamed fresh. This is similar to Freshcrust for those who have been there, except that you get unlimited ingredients to put on your pizza for one flat price. After talking to one of the staff members there, I found out that the owners decided to break away from zPizza. They said that the same pizza that I had tonight would have been near $ 30 instead because they would have had to charge for each ingredient. Therefore, they decided to be «pioneers» and create this as their own concept instead. All of the ingredients are also organic, which is a plus too. Overall, this is a great pizza place. I think the hardest thing might be finding parking since parking is limited. If you’re looking for pizza in a new way, this is definitely a place to come.

Assembly line pizza where you pick your base and toppings. Kinda like Subway or Chipotle. Good and really, not that spendy. I went with the regular sized regular crust, topped with chicken sausage(tasty!), mozzarella, green peppers, mushrooms and red peppers. It was brought to my table about five minutes later. Excellent, but maybe a little doughy. Fountain drinks and urns of sweet/unsweet tea available.

This place swapped out almost overnight from what used to be Zpizza. I think even the same people are running it. They just appear to have swapped out franchises. Anyway, the set up is like a Subway counter built for pizza. You begin your order at one end of the counter and go down the line adding ingredients to your liking before they shove your pie in the oven and about six minutes later… BAM! You have a pizza ready to eat in or take home. One good option is that you are not limited to the number of toppings you can put on your small or large sized pizzas. It is all the same price. Lucky for them I tend to be a minimalist in that I avoid pizzas with too many toppings, especially too many meaty toppings. Gut bomb central. Now, is this the greatest pizza ever made? Not by a long shot. However, it is serviceable and for the price you are paying, you get your money’s worth. Can’t complain about that. One new thing, other than some new décor, is that at the end of the line, just opposite from the soda machine, they now have beer taps installed. Hopefully that will make this venture a little more profitable than the Zpizza model they were running before. Selling draught beer at retail prices is about the most profitable thing a restaurant can do.

Pie-o-neer Pizza, has opened up in the former location of «Z Pizza» in Landstown Commons. Basic setup is to order a pizza at the counter when you come in. Pizza dough is pressed out when you order, and ingredients added as you request them to be. All ingredients right there visible to you, so you can choose what to add. Once you’ve created your pizza, it is cooked fresh for you. Eat in, or carry out, your choice. The time to wait is only the time it takes for your pizza to cook up, so the process is fast. Pizzas in 2 sizes: Small for $ 8.50, or Large for $ 17.00. Oh, and the thing I like the most: A flat price! Simple Simple. In other words, LOADITUP with the toppings you want, without fear that your end creation with all the things you want on it will cost you 29.00+ due to ‘added topping’ fees! No sir, one price per pizza no matter what you want on it. That is great for me, because I always want«everything» on a pizza. Nice shop in Landstown Commons, friendly service, Great pizza and simple straightforward pricing. I give ‘em 4 stars :-)
