Shear Bliss

This place is amazing! I went in wanting a long bob. I explained to Melissa that I had started a new medication that made my hair dramatically dry. I told her how I styled my hair and that I enjoyed my length and basically let her take it from there. I was more than pleased with my end result! My cut was perfect and I loved how well she listened to my requests. She also recommended a new shampoo and conditioner which I use religiously now! She’s awesome and the atmosphere is great!

The lady that did my hair was amazing, she was the only stylist working that night, for the life of me i can not remember her name but when you walk in he was the first chair on the left. Anyways she was amazing, i came in with multiple ideas & she was wonderful at meshing them up together. She made the experiance very personable & we had so much in common as we talked! If i still lived in the 757 i would definatly go back many times!

Melissa is amazing! I was looking for a very cool toned ash/​platinum blonde, and after a a different (nameless) salon turned my hair the complete opposite color that I wanted I came running to Shear Bliss. I had low hopes considering my hair was already extremely over-​processed, and I knew it would be difficult to get the color I wanted; however, I was so wonderfully surprised! Melissa was very careful to take care of my damaged hair and still get the color I wanted so badly! I can confidently say she is one of the best colorists in the area and she really cares about each client. I watched several others walk in and out with wonderful results as well, highly recommend this salon!!!

I am always impressed in this salon! Melissa is awesome. After another appointment where the lady just seemed awful, she could’ve been in a crappy mood and needed a break before my intense wants. She was so sweet and patient as I explained that i wanted rose gold on the ends with mixed in wispy lilac color. Btw: my hair is a mahogany brown. Needless to say we went through photos and ideas and she brought up her own thoughts. I have relatives that are hair stylists and i know some things like you have to lift my hair to get that pastel color to stay and it may not with my cuticle like that. I left with gorgeous «melted» color and love for having a bit extra color contrast. These girls are so great. Such a wonderful atmosphere and good people. Can’t wait for our new look ideas after the Holidays.

These chicks seriously rock! I was weary at first, purely because I don’t let anyone really touch my hair at all. However, I was so happy with my haircut that I plan on going back. When you walk in you can see that the atmosphere is nice, and during the length of your session you really get the sense that they truly have a passion for hair. Holly cut my hair exactly the way that I wanted.
I seriously recommend this spot!
P. s. They have weirdly delicious natural soaps and lotions you can buy, and I adore things like this. I bought this Orange Cream soap bar and it smells just like a dream sickle. Nom. Very happy customer.

Amber and her crew are doing a great job. Always friendly and courteous. They listen to what I want and gave me a cut just the way I asked. Amber also is a great conversationalist and makes the time in the chair go by pleasantly. What more could you ask for from a salon?

I am a recent customer to Shear Bliss. I have been driving by for quite a while and finally decided to make an appointment. My stylist was the owner Bliss. She was amazing. She listened to what I wanted and had some suggestions for me to get the most out of my experience. So glad that she did.
I had my hair colored, some high lights and a trim. I walked out of there feeling like a million bucks… didn’t want to go to bed that night because I didn’t want to wake up and have my hair look different from the day before :)
I won’t go to another stylist ever again… I should have stopped sooner… you will not regret going there.

I just relocated to the Va Beach area and have had the same stylist for 10 years. It’s very hard to start over! I chose the salon merely by convenience, but got great color/​highlights and cut by Linda! She took her time consulting and making sure she could give me exactly what I wanted!

Great spot, the girls are nice and they all do a fantastic job. Our whole family goes here.

Terrible place! Caroline does hair like my 7 years old niece! She left my hair bright yellow, and made me walk out like that! Also I sat in pain in her chair the entire time while she pulled and literally STRETCHED freshly bleached hair out of my head! Save your hair and go else where!!!
