I only got the membership for my family. I use the gym on base but when I’m home and I need to hit the gym, I go here and there is always equipment available. The staff is super friendly and always there to lend a hand. The best part about this membership are all of the benefits that it offers. For kids, this place is a dream. They have camp, family days, child care, and many other awesome things available. I’m truly glad that I purchased the membership and look forward to using there facilities when I can. P. S. My family loves going as well!

Stopped in here for a weekend Zumbathon that was a charity event sponsored by FORCE for women with genetic and hereditary cancer or cancer mutations. The Simon Family JCC volunteered the space for our weekend Zumbathon and it had a lot of parking, was tucked away into a quiet neighborhood, and was clean and nice inside. I can’t comment on much because I only saw the entry and a side gym — but from what I saw this was a nice facility and it was very nice of them to offer us their space for charity. The entrance has a «greeter» behind glass who has to buzz you into the building and, once inside, there is a large common area with rooms and gyms to either the left or the right.

There’s few facilities that offer as much as Jewish Community Center does. There are plenty of parking. Big campus. The facility is very secure and well maintained. The staff are friendly and knowledgable and there are plenty of events for the whole family. Our kids attended school there for 4 years and liked it so much! The library is especially the best! The extra curriculum courses are also great! You have to watch what food you bring in there though since they would like to keep everything kosher. I once asked for a refill at cardo café and was told that it would not be kosher. It has been the funniest thing I heard in a long while.

The JCC provides a community center atmosphere with state of the art equipment, with a secure, friendly environment suited to both beginners and experts. Cardio equipment ranges from your basic bike trainers all the way up to air glide hybrid stair climber /elliptical machines. The presence of a rowing machine is also a nice touch, as it is one of the few cross-training devices that focus on upper body strength. To «reserve» a cardio machine, one simply needs to climb on and use it for as long as one likes. Should someone else want to reserve the machine, you then have 30 minutes from that time to wrap up. The resistance training machines are newer Cybex models, with clear instructions and staff on hand to assist you should you need help. They appear to be set up in circuit fashion as well, so a novice could simply start at #1 and work his way through without difficulty. Free weights are ample, with a cable rack, smith machine, and squat cage on hand. Dumbbell weights exceed 100lbs… though this is not likely a gym for a serious weight lifter, 95% of patrons will never come close to maxing them out. The class schedule is somewhat reduced in the summer, but does touch on all of the basics… pilates, yoga, standard aerobics, and an ample supply of spinning. Classes tend to be held in the early AM and the early evening, but lunchtime sessions are available. Some of the little things make the experience top notch. Towels are provided, lockers are free(provide your own lock) and basic essentials… shampoo, shaving cream… are complimentary. For those early morning /lunchtime gym-goers, there is also a small café available. The only weakness the JCC has is its schedule… Fridays and Saturdays are short days. Being the Jewish Community Center, though, I cannot fault the center for observing their own religious holidays. All in all, the JCC is an excellent place to pursue one’s fitness goals.
