Either I need to improve my Cantonese or the order taker needs to improve their English. Don’t order over the phone thinking its a time saver. You will loose it checking and getting your order remade.

My go to Chinese restaurant. I haven’t found better and have no desire to look. It might be next door to me but if it sucked I would drive for better. And they are very nice. Maybe because I am a regular but they have always been friendly to me. Love this place.

It was good. The General Tso’s seemed more like Sweet and Sour chicken with a little bit of spice. It wasn’t exactly what I was used to back home(going to school in the area). The delivery was fast, and the portions, even for a small plate, are big. It wasn’t the worst Chinese food, but it wasn’t the best.

It was a regular Chinese food take out place experience that I’ve become too accustomed too. I’m tired of regular take out where stuff is just dumped in a box and delivered to me with no taste no flavor no nothing. Rant over. We got a variety of fare. My favorite is lo mein and wonton soup. The lo mein was plain. The wonton soup flavorless!!! Makes me so mad! I also got hot and sour soup. Not sour enough for me. My family likes general tso. It was plain again as was the egg foo young and chow mein. I tend to always get my Chinese food from Judy’s Sichuan and I just can’t deal with the flavorless take out

Our go to for Chinese take out. No mysteries here, just good food served fresh every time! Delivery or pickup I am always happy :)

Food not as tasty as I remember. Sauce is just off. Pork in fried rice also off. Have a new favorite spot: Stir Fry in the Kroger shopping center off Providence & Kempsville Rd.

A nice combination of Japanese and Thai comfort foods, a great suburban shopping center find. Seems to be family owned and the staff is super friendly. The design-your-own noodle bowls are popular with the kids. Try the shrimp tempura udon bowl if you want a lot of taste.

So we ordered online, the page kept failing but it finally went through. 30 minutesblater it showed up, delivery guy was rude and had teied saying thank you and see if I can get an expression, the guy wouldnt even look at me. We ordeded 3 chicken dishes and one of which was totally wrong. Was suppoused to be chicken chow mein, got chicken and vegs. Each chicken dish had maybe 4 or 5 peices of small chicken. Although I’m visiting I’ m not impressed and neither is the people I’m staying with. Granted the flavor was good but service and the amount of the main ingredient wasn’t enough to go back again.

I absolutely LOVE Top China! I found out about them on here( Unilocal) and ordered to try them out and was amazed at how good their food was. And they are ALWAYS polite and courteous on the phone. Great place for good Chinese food.

Tried this out the other night based on the reviews here on Unilocal. What a disappointment. Will start out with the good. The shrimp toast. It was yummy. Kinda greasy, but very tasty. Now for the mediocre. The Kung Pao Chicken. meh. Was supposed to be spicy. It wasn’t. It was just okay. The chicken was good though. The white rice that came with it was good. The Lobster Lo Mein. Was told over the phone it wasn’t real lobster. That was fine. The lo mein was good, just the right amount of moisture. Flavor wasn’t bad. Now for the bad. The lumpia. Small and dry. The Fantail Shrimp. What in the heck? It was small shrimp surrounded by this giant fried batter. I wish I had taken a picture of it because it was ridiculous. Lastly, the horrendous. The Bourbon Chicken. I’ve had bourbon chicken many times and the sauce always has the same flavor. This did not taste like bourbon sauce. It wasn’t sweet, it wasn’t good, it was just nasty. But what was worse — I don’t even think it was chicken. It tasted like ham — or some sort of funky pork. The flavor actually reminded me of spam. The texture was bizarre as well, much more tough and rubbery than any chicken that I’ve ever had. And the fried rice that came with it tasted like it was cooked with old oil in a dirty pan. Will definitely not order from here again — unless I have a hankering for shrimp toast.

The food is pretty good, if fairly standard, and never disappointing. Their fried foods are among the best I’ve had around here. You can really tell that they take care of their fryer. This shows in their delectable plain(yes, plain) breaded chicken wings. They’re simple with just salt, pepper, and breading, yet they’re delicious. If only they made normal fried chicken! I don’t recommend the hot wings, though, I think they just toss the plain ones in Frank’s or something. Service is top-notch. I almost always get my food delivered. They’re quick, courteous, and have never mixed up any of my orders(at least a dozen so far). They even delivered during the Sandy storm! Additionally, their website is incredibly useful(if a bit laggy and slow). You can order online, and they call you to ensure your order is correct. Four stars and a kitchen drawer full of sauce packets attest to my Top’s China fandom.

Food was fresh and good. Not badly priced either. Spring rolls were delicious! They call to make sure you get exactly what you wanted.

I lived in Virginia Beach for the past three years, I still haven’t found a Chinese restaurant that compare to my hometown place but Top China is the best place in Virginia beach. I have had about 7 – 10 different places so I am not bias. They have good combo specials and very friendly. The have delivery which is Great bonus. If you want a good place to have some great Chinese food Top China is your place.

Most hole-in-the-wall Chinese places in south Hampton Roads are quite comparable in quality & taste. Top’s stands out for their $ 3.99 lunch special which includes entrée, rice & soup. Definitely more than you can expect at similar local establishments. Most are priced between $ 4 and $ 5 for lunch, but I have yet to find another local Chinese place that includes soup with the meal.
