I am so sad to see Toulas closed! I had one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had in my life there! I live in North Carolina, but in October 2012, I want to Norfolk for a concert with my dad, and we stopped here on the way back from checking out the Bay Bridge. We have talked about driving up JUST to go to Toulas since then. Toula was incredibly nice, and so was her daughter. So, so sad to here this spot closed down!

I loved their pizza… Does anyone know if they moved to a different location??? Just drove past today and saw they were closed.

Great food. Unfortunately the wife and I went there today and it seems they have closed for good. The restaurant was vacant. Sad news.

I had dinner here with a friend Saturday night and while the food was good it didn’t blow me away. First thing the young lady behind the the counter was well, robotic. No personality at all, everyone has a bad day now and then so I let it slide. We placed an order and took a seat. 2nd, the prices are higher than the menu on their website. The medium 14″ pizza starts at $ 14.50 and we added 3 toppings to that. Prices are current on the menu board behind the counter. The pizza was extremely thin in the center due to the way the dough had been spread out. Cheese was center loaded as well and didn’t go to the edges of the entire pie causing the toppings to slide off as you were eating. The center was kind of soggy as well. For a pie so thin I can only guess either the oven wasn’t hot enough or the pie didn’t stay in there long enough. Negativity aside, the pizza did look good, and the taste was ok. I just felt the portion and toppings didn’t merit the price. Drinks have free refills if you get them from the fountain and they also have bottled soda and water beside that. Cost came in just under $ 20.

Its all about the meatball pizza! Everything on the menu comes with very generous portions plus a military discount!

Absolutely love the homemade pasta and marinara sauce. Best lasagna and eggplant parm!!! Huge portions, two meals worth. Good pizza, but we actually go there for the pasta dishes. Not your average pizza place. Family run and definitely worth a try.

This is my hot spot for my toasted Philly Cheesesteak with onions and hot peppers! Always delicious! When my inner fat kid is really rearing its ugly head, I will throw on a Greek salad. I really like their homemade Greek dressing; it’s nice and creamy. In an attempt to try something else on the menu I went out on a limb and tried their wings. One of the worst decisions I’ve made in my life. They were soggy and had the consistency of those frozen precooked wings. Disgusting. I will stick with the sandwiches, salads, and calzones from here on out! And the military discount doesn’t hurt either!

My go to pizza place on shore drive but the pizza is not the reason to go… Calzones and pasta here are the way to go by far! Generous portions and a super friendly mother and daughter who own the shop are very military friendly. Stop in for the lunchtime specials too!

Went there with great expectations after reading all those reviews. I spoke to Maria as I walked in and you would think I looked green by her expression. She was our waitress. «No decaffeinated coffee», so I’ve got regular. She never came back to check on me. So I finally I got up and hand her the mug. I specifically asked for kalamata olives, the pizza missed the onions and had those cheap olives without taste. No homemade dressing, to say the salad was mediocre would b an understatement. Iceberg lettuce, couple of thin sl tomatoes. Gyro was wrong and meat tasted cheap. To summarize it, cheap food and bad service. Disappointing experience.

I never thought you could have too many toppings but toula taught me that you actually can overdose on sausage. I wasn’t as pleasantly surprised as Joey P.

The idea of making dinner with two young children is exhausting. Looking for a quick take-out option, my wife and I decided to give Toula’s a try. Expecting an okay meal, we were very happily surprised to get a really good meal. My wife and I split a Greek salad with plenty of toppings and great dressing as well as an eggplant sub. It was so good, we wanted to try the pizza a few days later. Our hopes were high and we weren’t disappointed. It was simple pizza done right. The garlic knots were good too, with plenty of oil and garlic and excellent marinara sauce. Although we took it to go both nights, the inside is clean and the staff is super friendly. Both times I was in uniform on the way home from work, so the military discount is truly appreciated. Toula’s is going on the regular rotation, and we can’t wait to work our way through the large menu.

The only thing keep this from being a 5 star in my book is I don’t give 5’s on 1 visit! I had the Steak with everything 12″ a load of fresh chopped steak with peppers, onions and shrooms all chooped on a flat grill and on a hot toasted roll with American cheese! One of the top 2 I have had not only in the area but in my life and yes I’ve been to Geno’s in philly! Several other topping are offred as well as othr subs and Pizza! My wife fullfilled her challange of finally finding a decent fresh made salad, in this case Chefs a huge plate with chooped fresh deli meats and cheese and egg served with a warm pita! Looked great and she loved it why it’s hard to find a decent sald around here I don’t know. The restaurant was super clean, restrooms were clean and up to date! Two Tv’s were on but not on overly loud, beer in bottles and on tap and wine available. Located on Shore Drive close to pleasure house road would be great place to go after a vist to Chic’s beach or golf etc…

I heard great things about Toula’s and decided to try it. I sure am glad I did. Upon entering I noticed it was bright and there was plenty of seating and looked friendly. We were greeted by the owner Toula and she was friendly and helpful and waited on us personally. My wife and I split a Greek Salad and I had an Italian Sub(Lg) and she had the Meatball Sub(reg). The Greek Salad was big, fresh and had plenty of Feta and the house Greek dressing was delicious. My Italian Sub was fantastic! I loved the combination of meats and there was plenty. My wife’s meatball sub looked great and tasted great! It was loaded. I can’t wait to go back for more food here.(oh — I got a roast beef sub to go for work later that night and it was great too). I’ve posted some photos here and will have more soon.
