I have been getting massage at this place EVERY February and a few summer dates here and there, for years. I must say I have ALWAYS been satisfied with my sessions but yesterday, I had THEBESTMASSAGE at this place yet! My masseuse was Lorie Gault(sp?) and I loved her so much, I wanna pack her in my suitcase and take her back to NYC! I left Trumassage feeling like like a million bucks! I referred my friend this morning and I know her experience will be the same. I’ll be back soon and will be absolutely sure to stop in and see Lorie! I hope the owner knows she has a GEM! By the way the place looks great, SUPER clean and extremely peaceful! By far, my favorite place in Virginia.

The staff was friendly but I don’t plan on going back. I went in for the couples massage. The masseuse didn’t attend to my focal points and was inconsistent. The pressure was okay but I had to remind her to use less. Be prepared to get oil on your hair too.(That part really bothered me) During the payment process I wrote down my tip but the receptionist asked if I wanted to tip more.

Making appointments are quick and easy and not a lot of unnecessary hassle. I have yet to come here and have an unpleasant experience. I will say the best part about this place is there are NO contracts! Stop by today and make yourself and appointment! Everyone needs to take time to pamper themselves once in a while.

The massage therapists here are excellent. My back was super knotted, but they managed to totally loosen it. The first time I had a Swedish massage with a hot towel. A couple of weeks later I had a deep tissue cupping massage. Their pricing is on the lower end of the massage spectrum($ 55 for an hour Swedish).

My husband paid for a swedish massage as a birthday gift for me which was very thoughtful. This was the first time I ever had a professional massage done. The ambiance at this place was nice and Sheryl, my masseuse did a good job. She was able to tell me exactly what was wrong and the areas I had tension in which were right on the spot. The massage felt good!

Loved it! I have no complaints here for my first massage. Stephanie was awesome & she even put my Pandora playlist on during the session. Very relaxing, pressure was just right & even had a heating pad for the back pain on my left side. Grade A service! Loved it!

The best place to get a massage, and I’ve been to many in Hampton Rds. I lived here since 1999 and can’t count how many massages I’ve had– so grateful for Tru Massage! I feel my shoulders relax just walking in the door. The color, décor, calming sounds and smells are lovely. The décor has an Asian influenced feel that’s really nice. The massage therapists are so talented as well and will focus on specific areas needing extra attention. Definitely try them out, I recommend them to friends all the time who return as well. Great place!

I had the best massage I’d had in a long, long time at Tru Massage. Actually it was then called Zen Massage. They changed the name not long ago. Zen Massage was a chain, but they pretty much kept the staff, philosophy, ambiance, and pricing. The pricing is part of the draw. A basic Swedish massage(which is what I had) starts at $ 39. The only reason I – and I have a feeling lots of folks – don’t get massages more often is the cost. Especially in this economy, it’s hard to justify. But at under $ 40, it’s doable. The massage therapist I had was Heidi and she is a goddess. She has just the right flow and medium touch. All of the therapists bios are on their website. Go forth and relax at Tru Massage. Note: Last time I was there they asked that you tip in cash. They take cards, of course; it’s just the tip they prefer in cash.

I don’t know about the BEST place in hampton roads for a massage… it’s alright. I was a little turned off that with a staff of 15 something people, only 1 person knew reiki(and not very well). The person I went with had a good masseuse, the guy I had though wasn’t very good. Oh well, it’s only $ 40. You’re better off trying the place on Independence Blvd. where students give massages for half price.
