Saw this place reviewed on tv and being a fan of pizza, I thought I would give it a try. We ordered an extra large pick up special, your basic pepperoni pizza. I grew up in Buffalo, New York on the corner was the best pizza joint in the world, Leonardi’s, so nothing will ever mart have that, but this was a good pie! Thicker crust, a good sauce with the right amount of spice, and decent pepperoni. Price was ok but only because there was a $ 4.00 off special otherwise I think it would be a bit high. I would recommend this place and we will try it again!

Delicious pizza sauce and dough! The ingredients are so fresh you can taste each individual one in a bite of a Tonis special pizza! Best pizza in the area!

Decent tomato and cheese pizza. Crust thickness was medium and had a nice crunch to it. But the amount of exposed crust with missed tomato and cheese was frustrating. Do not order beer here! It was like the size of a baby bottle. That was super lame

I would give this place 4 stars because some co-workers and I like to frequent this place. HOWEVER, The last time I went I found several pieces of hair in my pizza, I just went today and again found a small one, the time between the visits have been a month apart. Between that and the«meh» attitude everyone who works there gives you other than the man behind the counter… ehhh I dont’ know. I almost gave it a two star rating. I really want to like you Toni, but I’d prefer Primo’s pizza at this point. PS I’m going bald, so it’s not my hair!

I’ve only had their pizza so far. It’s ok. Better than most local places but not on the top of my list either. High prices. Inside of the place is slightly old and dumpy. Owned and ran by a much older generation. Still waiting for them to get into the year 2000 and have online or cellphone ordering… or anything for that matter. Closed on Sundays. Wha? People order pizza mainly on weekends. I’ll say that again. People order pizza mainly on weekends. If you need a day of rest, let someone else run it on Sundays.

I wasn’t sure what to expect when we walked into Toni’s. The teenager was hungry though and since I gave him the option to pick lunch I figured a pizza joint I’ve never been to would be a nice compromise. The mini is actually a pretty good size and I had difficulty finishing it. The teenager, who is a fairly tall and hungry 15 year old boy, scarfed down the small size pizza with no problem. He even started eyeballing the rest of my pizza. The crust wasn’t the thin NYC crust I am partial to but it was tasty. The elements of the pizza had a pretty good balance and we both enjoyed our pizza’s. Good sauce. Good flavor crust. We’d definitely go again. I think we’ll probably take the husband next time.

I have only been here once. I purchased a pizza and did not like it. Unfortunately it was way overcooked. The crust was super hard and toppings were tough. I don’t plan to be back.

First time here today. Restaurant was pretty busy this evening, lots of happy customers in the place. —Pizza was very good. Crust, sauce, toppings all very tasty. Crust was thicker than most in the area, which I appreciate. I also ordered a steak and cheese grinder for myself, and that was very tasty as well. —Wait staff is present, but really only to bring out your food and refill drinks, etc. When you enter the place, you order at the counter before you sit down. Good times with my kids and family here, very tasty and well made pizza. 3.5 Stars overall, and I definitely recommend giving them a try.

Toni’s is a local VB spot that I’ve been going to since I was in elementary school(currently 23). I can say that not much has changed – and that, for me, is one of the pluses. You can always count on them to have delicious pizza and subs. I personally find myself always craving their steak and cheese grinder. This is what I think of when I think of a mom and pop store and supporting local businesses.

So I really liked Toni’s a lot when I first ate here dined in. But after we’ve taken it home a few times I’ve been disappointed the crust wasn’t done twice eww. So someone needs to work on constancy.

Toni’s has some great food. When I’m in the mood for a gyro or steak and cheese grinder I head here! The pizza’s are great too. Staff is friendly and attentive. This place has been here a long time so you know they have some good food.

I ordered the Toni’s special which toppings include tomato sauce and cheese, pepperoni, mushroom, green pepper, sausage, ground beef, onions, salami, and extra cheese. I brought it home and opened the box and immediately saw that the cheese was a little over cooked and the dough was a little under cooked. Slices had been cut but not all the way through so I had to cut it again. I lifted a slice out of the box and in a spit second all the topping slipped off the limp dough. Plop, splattering sauce all over the place. So far I am not pleased. On to the taste. Out of the entire pizza, the only thing that tasted fresh was the onion. I had to pick off the mushroom because it had a funky taste and slimy texture. I picked off the ground beef because it was bland and fatty. It was my first time trying pizza with ground beef and salami and I would not recommend it. It was bland, greasy pizza with dried out burnt cheese and a chewy undercooked dough. After I had to cut my pizza, put the fallen pieces back together, then dissect all the yucky bits, I was thoroughly disappointed and wanted my money back. Aside from the onion, none of the veggies were fresh.

Best. Pizza. Ever. It’s not New York thin crust, so if that’s your one definition of ‘good Pizza’ you’d be better off going to one of the hundred other pizzerias in the area that proudly declare it to be their specialty. We’ve been going there for over a decade, and still haven’t found any pizza, in town or nationwide, that we like better.

Had read good things about their pizza so I thought I’d give them a try and do some carryout. Was not impressed. Their sauce and toppings were ok but the the dough was very dense and tough. The crust was as hard as a rock. Couldnt even enjoy it and I love pizza crust. Maybe I caught them on a bad day. Might give them another shot down the road but I don’t see what all the fuss is about.

This place hasn’t changed much in the 20 years or so I’ve been going here — good, Greek style pizza, quick service, and a pretty no-frills menu. I usually go for the pizza, but I’ve also had the lasagna. Very good and reasonably priced. The last time I came here, my boyfriend and I split a small pizza and though we finished the whole thing, we were both satisfied with the amount of food we’d had.

We used to live about a half mile from Toni’s Pizza when we lived in VA Beach. I haven’t eaten there since ’08 probably, but have wanted to go back ever since. We ordered a medium«Toni’s Special», and it was excellent. The key was the quality of the ingredients, especially the green peppers, cheese, garlic and an excellent tasting sauce. I was full after sharing this pie with my wife. They serve draft beer in mugs. The mug is plastic, so you have to be careful not to throw the beer over your shoulder, since it is so light. It was $ 2.35 a glass. I had two, as they were only maybe 10 oz each. Nothing inspiring in the choices of draft, but Yuengling’s not a bad go to beer in a pinch. All in all, a nice dinner. Total cost $ 23 or something. I enjoyed this more than the $ 60 meal we had at the Macaroni Grill on Virginia Beach Blvd., the next night. Our server was friendly, the bathroom clean, and the bathroom sink out in the hallway. A strange little quirk of the place.

3.5 stars. The pizza was good. Nice atmosphere and the staff was friendly. I would eat it again but I was disappointed in the size of the medium pizza. Not the best pizza in the world, but if you like cheesy pizza, this is the place to go.

Toni’s serves up what I call«Greek-style» pizza. Thick crust, a chewy layer of chese, sauce with lots of spices in it. The Azalea Inn pizza is quite similar. It was fairly good and tasty. But when you want and clamor for a good slice of real thin-crust New York Pizza, it misses the mark.

This mom & pop style pizza parlor located in the Holland Plaza Shops next door to Animal Jungle. It’s small and unassuming however Toni’s makes a big meal. You order your meal from the counter and then have a seat. We wanted more than a pepperoni pie however there were no specialty pizza’s listed on the board. So we asked and the lady behind the counter said that they did in fact make one, and the toppings consisted of everything on the left side of the board. So that’s what we did. :) What we ended up with was an extra large pie with pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, onions, green peppers, ground beef, & salami smothered in extra cheese. This pizza was freaking awesome!!!(picture included). Besides 5 sizes of pizza’s Toni’s has a ton of other items on the menu as well. They make an outstanding oven heated grinder served in either a 6 inch or 12 inch size that is extremely filling. I’ve had the lasagna a couple times as well and it was very good. Believe me if you leave here hungry, it’s your own fault.
