I’ve been here twice now and both times were excellent! The fresh made bread is phenomenal. The pasta is delicious and so are the sub sandwiches. My next visit I’ll be trying their pizza. I was envious of what other diners had ordered. The atmosphere is pleasurable and the staff is always accommodating. My family and I have enjoyed our experience here and will continue to in the future.

TL;DR Amazing pizza This is probably some of the best pizza I have had in this area. It’s even great leftover pizza as well and you will probably have some as the sizes are good. The price is on par with the kind of pizza you are getting. To compare I would say it’s better than the local ynots and cheaper too if only by a little. Besides the pizza though I can’t really say much else. The salads are salads and the rest of the menu is just your typical Italian food. Also the garlic knots are made to destroy Dracula and his entire family so vampires beware. The service is spotty and depends on your server like most places. Sometimes it’s a good one sometimes it’s a bad one, or you could just get someone on an off day.

Our family went to Primo for the first time last night. IMO the menu is very basic Italian, nothing special. VERY overpriced kids menu!!! $ 9 for kids penne Alfredo(no chicken, just pasta and sauce) is outrageous! Some menu items were cheaper or the same price as the kids menu version. I just cannot comprehend this! For this reason, we will not be back.

If you like a great bait and switch on prices, place a take out order from here. Price went from $ 8 to $ 18. Went to talk to the manager and she was a total b*tch.

Went here last night for dinner. Nice place. I have been here multiple times but never got pasta. Got pasta for the first time and I was disappointed. It was bland. Will return but I will stick to what I know. The chicken roll and pizza.

Good News — 4-stars for the Spinach Calzone +Eggplant! Delicious!!! Distribution and quantity of ingredients were perfect and sauce was well balanced. Meals & everything was fine until the check came… Had a bunch of kids ordering kids meals unless one orders the chicken tender kids meal which does come with fries. Typically, children’s entrees come with fries, salad, applesauce, etc. Our bad for not seeing that fries DONOT come with the kids meals. However, it surrrrre would’ve been nice had the waitress mentioned that a SIDEOFFRIESARE $ 7!!! It’s a potato people!?? Steak fries spread out(not a mountain formation) on a square plate to give the illusion one is getting a lot of fries. I would have guessed maybe 20 steak fries were on a plate. One parent ordered two sides of fries. While I’m aware there’s a cost to doing business, not sure why any non-Michelin Star Rated establishment would charge such an obscene amount for French Fries. I just have to put this out there so innocent parents are now aware the price of bringing your little ones out to eat. Beware when you order a «side of fries.» Three parents oblivious. None of us caught it.

My go to pizza place when I’m home in VB. Good prices and the food is amazing! Usually gets pretty crowded at peak times but it’s worth the wait. They have an outdoor seating area which is great in nice weather. I love the Pocheski salad… Simple but flavorful! Check out this place for thin crust NY style pizza!

Took my son and daughter in law there for dinner last night and the food and service was excellent. I’d give it a 5 but when you ask for linguine and get fettuccine with your sardilli, it sort of spoils a good meal as it takes away the taste of an excellent sauce. Other. Than that, we’ll be back again but I will insist that the provide what is on the menu. Maybe the cook doesn’t know the difference. Attn Owner. Fettuccine does not do this dish justice, nor does macaroni. It is linguine or thin spaghetti.

First time eating here and it was amazing. At first I thought it was strictly a pizza place but after research I came to realize it’s a full blown Italian restaurant! Had a date night there and it was very warm and inviting. We were sat very quickly even though it was a full house of people. Menu options were endless since it was my first time there I played it safe and got the chicken parmesan which was cooked amazingly perfect amount of cheese and sauce and also really good bread crisp and crunchy! Will definitely be back

I am not the type of person who dines in at pizza places, or who particularly cares for Italian food(pasta? Who needs those extra carbs and calories when I can spend them on jalapeño poppers and potato chips? Seriously!), but it was chosen by the people we went with because they liked it and was close to their house. Ok… Full disclaimer… I did have four glasses of wine, BUT, I will say that I asked our waiter about his choice of Reislings, I prefer dry, and he gave me a good opinion. I love a waiter who knows his lush… Um, I mean… imbiber. Started out with girlic knots because everyone on Unilocal said they were awesome, I love garlic, and you never know when vampires might decide to go on a weeknight strip mall rampage. I will agree that they are supper yummy and garlicy(if you are on the fence about garlic at all, do not get these… I don’t personally mind garlic breath), but the bread was a little chewy and tough. I felt it could have a fluffier or lighter and crisper texture. That being said, I would certainly get them again! They were tasty! Ordered the Margherita Pizza, but being a difficult and hard to please person, I found it necessary to add sundried tomatoes and prosciutto… Because the fresh tomatoes were just not enough and no meal is complete without meat! One of the better pizzas I’ve had. Nice crispy crust on the bottom, but still thin and slightly chewy… The toppings were well proportioned and balanced. On a side note, I didn’t want spinach on my pizza, so I forced part of my group to get their own pizza if they wanted spinach. Life is hard, right? But they said it was good, and they can write their own review if they want! Atmosphere was better than I expected. Like I said, I don’t do pizza or Italian. It seemed to have an open and modern feel, nothing stuffy but not too casual, but the right amount of attention to service and detail… Our waiter was super cool and noticeable of cues without having to directly say something to him. And he was more than nice and understanding about special requests made by others at the table. All in all, I found Primo to be one of the more pleasurable experiences out that I’ve had in a while. I would go here again.

First time at the Brenneman location. Why on earth have we waited soooo long to walk in? Ynot is darn good. YOUR food was GREAT! Now I know what my wife and I were missing. I don’t think that I’ve ever eaten lasagna with as much creamy ricotta, the meat sauce was fabulous, and the bread was hot & chewy(just the way I love it.) My wife enjoyed the Greek salad, thought it was superb, and had the veggie stromboli(what a great flavor.) Count on us coming back again… and again… and again!

I went for the first time tonight and I was pretty impressed. I ordered the Chicken Franchese and it was great! The sauce was amazing and the chicken was tender and flavorful. My girlfriend ordered the ravioli and she loved it. The service was fantastic and the atmosphere was pleasant. I will be back here sooner rather than later.

Super garlic-y, vampires beware! ;-) I had the cheese steak Italiano and it was amazing. i love cheese steaks and this had pizza sauce and mozzarella and heated up nice and melty. it was great. The boyfriend has some chicken dish i cant pronounce nor type but it had capers and a lemon butter garlic sauce. Just came back from lunch from this place with some coworkers, who I got on the bandwagon. This pizza kinda reminds me of «home»(NY pizza). I like that you can purchase by the slice, my favorite pizza is Margerhita Pizza. So today I had a slice of that, along with with humongous Greek Salad and this was a small size! No complaints there.(That whole good with bad thing, so I don’t feel bad for the food I just ran a train on) We all shared the Garlic Knots, which my most favorite(although someone other place may be stealing that spot soon and it’s only because they provide them for free). One of my favorite pizza spots and they have a good wine happy hour. Love Primo!

We are new to the area and are always on the lookout for a good restaurant for pizza and pasta. We ordered a slice of the NY style and a slice of the thin crust margarita. We both loved the thin crust and my wife like the thicker crust too; I thought it was just okay. We split the eggplant parm dinner which was excellent. We will be back for more!

After a 2nd fairly abysmal dining experience, we won’t be returning. On our recent visit this weekend, the service was improved but the food was horrible overall. The best thing we got was the sourdough bread to start. The Italian wedding soup was more like a pasta dish and was barely hotter than room temperature. There was little to no broth at all, few meatballs, very little spinach and a whole lot of pasta. The pasta itself was mushy and the broth reminded me of Campbell’s Italian wedding soup. Sadly, I would have preferred that to this as the canned stuff has actual soup! My small Caesar salad came with burned chicken. It was unseasoned so there wasn’t any flavor to slightly salvage the taste of char. My beau’s stromboli was also lukewarm. Though the flavor was good, it would have been better with at least enough heat to melt the cheese. It just wasn’t good enough for a $ 40 meal, especially at lunch time.

Still great and so great that I an upgrading my review to five stars. This time, two takeout orders that were terrific. One time, the baked ziti again. The second time, the eggplant parm dinner. Thin slices of delicious eggplant with delicious cheese and a large pile of penne pasta on the side. The garlic knots are also excellent and I recommend them highly. Truly delicious. Greek salad is more stuff than lettuce. Olives, cut tomatoes and a lot of feta cheese give Bruce a happy tummy. At the counter, the gal asked if I’d like some bread to go with it. «Uh, yes please.» A nice small loaf that easily tore off bits to use to soak up that great sauce. Primo’s is still my go to for Italian in Virginia Beach.

Try their calzone & strombolis are the best! You get a HUGE portion comes with marina sauce. Their Penne a la vodka pasta with chicken is good! I like adding a ton of red pepper flakes to mine. Their portions are huge. I pretty much ended taking the whole dish togo. Their lunch specials are a steal. Their menu for lunch is simple. I ordered their penne pasta with marina sauce. I had to add a ton of Parmesan & hot sauce to kick up flavor.
