This place needs to be shut down. I don’t wear fake nails. I paint them. Instead of taking of the polish like a normal person would, they sand papered the polish off. I have no nails left and the skin around my nails is so inflamed it’s bleeding.

Maaaaaaan. I was hoping the Unilocal reviews were wrong about this place. I went in for a gel french manicure. The lady running the show was angry AF, and so was the grandma that was there yelling about things the rest of the employees ignored, but my nail guy was nice. Unfortunately, it appears that the quality of gel products they use is terrible. My manicure has chipped badly and I got them done about 6 hours ago.

Was kinda hesistant of going here because of the reviews but I went on a Thur. afternoon and it was dead. Took care of me immediately. The guy who did my nails was fast and good. It was my first time here since I needed to get my nails done soon and the place that I always go to were packed. But it was a good experience with a fair price

DONTGOTOTHISPLACE!!! I will never come back here! i went in so excited to get my eyebrows cleaned and just shaped because they were finally the thickness i desired… i walked in the lady at the counter greeted me nicely and asked what i wanted to get done today… i told her i wanted my eyebrows waxed and she told me to sign my name on the paper they have up front n then left to the waxing section of their store… didn’t even asked me to follow her there or meet her there. i had to ask her… should i sit here? and she said yeah sit here. didn’t even asked me what i wanted. i had to stop her and tell her… but then she did whatever she wanted because when she was done my eyebrows were so thin that i’m fighting the urge to cry because it took me forever(more than a year) to grow them. i am livid. i would not recommend anyone to come here for their eyebrows.

Never get your nails done here! Charged me $ 30 for a basic manicure and gel polish. The gel polish chipped in two days on half my nails. The salon was so dirty I had to ask the tech to clean her metal supplies first, totally gross. Plus they won’t let you tip on a credit card even though there is a space to write one in. They want you to its their ATM so they can get paid the fee.

I had no complaints. Walked in and was greeted immediately by a kind gentleman at the front desk, my wife got a full set that she was pleased with(at first) and I got a pretty darn tootin’ good pedicure. I’ll never rock this spot again… then got up this morning and my wife’s nails had to be redone because they put the nails over her cuticles and the nails looked like ass. Don’t go to this place.

I hardly ever get my nails done but when I do, I pay for the more expensive paint that is not supposed to chip– the shellac. I wish I had read the reviews before going to this salon because apparently this company does not know what shellac is. 3 hours after having my nails down, 2 of my nails started chipping. I went in this next day and told them they must not have used shellac because shellac does not chip that quickly. The guy told me that the gel paint and shellac were the same thing but he agreed to redo my nails… WITHTHESAMSSTUFF they used the day before. I went home and within 15 hours, my nails were chipping again. Worst experience and will not be going back. Do not recommend this company. Go somewhere else and get better quality for your money.

The convenience of being located in the mall is not even worth the awful service. Two days ago, I was getting a shellac manicure by a young man(who appeared to barely be in high school) when I looked on the wall and noticed that one of the licenses had expired in January — it’s nearly the end of April. The license listed the person’s name and that the individual was to practice«under the supervision» of another licensed nail tech. I could be wrong but based on the station I was sitting at and the order of the three licenses, the boy doing my nails was the one whose license had expired. This peeved me but I let him finish and even tipped, as the job he did didn’t appear to be a bad one. However, less than four hours later, I noticed that four of my nails had already chipped. A SHELLACMANICURE(that is supposed to last two weeks) CHIPPEDTHESAMEDAY. So the next day morning, as soon as they opened, I went in and asked for my money back because I was displeased with the service and did not have time to get it fixed, as I am not a resident of Virginia Beach and needed to return home. One lady rushed me to sit down so they could fix it, to which I declined and told her a) I didn’t have time and b) I did not want the same service if it was only going to yield the same result. This is when things went south. She began to raise her voice and told me they don’t offer refunds because they’ve «already spent their time.» I asked where their«no refund» sign was and assured her that I’d spent my time twice already, as well. She told another man to give me a gift card — which I also declined and stated that if they did not refund my money I would report them for allowing techs with expired licenses to work. After that, she yelled at me telling me that«it don’t work like that» and that«I can’t just go to restaurant and eat all the food and then say I don’t like it and ask for money back.» I kid you not. I told her that if I was at a restaurant and did not like the food I certainly would not keep eating it, but would request something else, as had I known the gel polish would chip so fast I would have chosen to get it done elsewhere. However, at this point I was extremely frustrated and allowed them to fix the chipped nails. Meanwhile, the lady who had just yelled at me continued to bad mouth me to another customer whose eyebrows she was doing ATTHEFRONTOFTHESALONINTHEWAITINGAREA! I honestly do not know how they are still in business but I plan to write the Board of Cosmetology of VA and let them know of all that took place. Please don’t waste your time here.

Just had the worst most disrespectful experience ever… the work on my pedicure was not done properly. they did not put the proper coats of nail polish on… my toe nails were not properly cut and half done… I was supposed to get a manicure but said forget it after I tried to tell then I was not satisfied and was told to hurry up because it was almost closing time… then she got the other customers involved asking of they had a problem and saying that I had a money problem and just didn’t want to pay… I have been getting manicures and pedicures for years and have never run into this kind of unprofessional behavior… I will not be returning… I am only selecting a star because it requires me to

This is hands down the worst place I’ve been to. The quality of work is terrible. I got a mani/pedi and I got shellac on my finger nails and it was literally chipping off the next day. I also got a normal pedicure and all of my toenail polish is chipping off two days later. Waste of $ 60.

I went into the salon with a few friends last week after a full day of shopping. We were looking for a pedicure and manicure each(there were three of us). I admit that we walked in about forty minutes prior to closing but we made sure to get confirmation from the salon attendants that we were fine to get all that we wanted done. I was set on getting a pedicure and a manicure with shellac. My pedicure was great and my friends had good things to say about theirs as well. My pedi was done quickly and efficiently and I was set to get my manicure done. While the attendant worked on my hands I could see that the other attendants were getting antsy and they started to rush us. While my friends were still getting their pedis, other manicurists started to work on their nails while they were still getting their toes painted. One friend wanted just French tips painted(no acrylic) and the other wanted a full set of stiletto nails(she made sure to ask if they had time to do her full set and if they knew how to do stiletto nails. She got affirmatives.) From what I could gather my nails were properly prepared prior to being shellac-ed and they looked great when I was finished. Stiletto-nails-friend: her nails were NOT properly prepped for the addition of acrylic and there was a clear amount of space between her fingernail and acrylic. One wrong move and it could probably pop off with a great amount of pain. French-tips-friend: her polish started peeling when we left the salon. Me: well from what I understand of shellac, it’s supposed to last for well over a week, with no chipping or peeling. I did not get what I was looking for. Not three days after my experience, my nails started to chip. And yesterday they started to peel. We understand that we went in later than we probably should have but we would have accepted it if the staff that was present had just told us that they didn’t have time/that they didn’t know how to properly apply shellac/stiletto nails, especially for the amount that we paid for the«service».

I went to get the manicure+pedicure+eye brow waxing for $ 40 deal. One of the owners asked me if I wanted to upgrade the pedicure for $ 10 and I said sure. When I went to checkout, it was $ 63 and the same lady tried to tell me she never said that. Seriously?

Wow. I have never been forced into a chair so fast or with so much aggression. Right off the bat it ticked me off they would not let me choose a color first. I have never been someplace where the pedicure started before the color was even chosen. Found out why later though, the colors were dull! Sorry but I am not one of the masses who want my toes red or French! Come on spice it up here. The nails done well but the staff seemed a bit clueless. It was a lot of watching the person next to them. Ugh. It was a little less than relaxing. The people were friendly and the décor was nice but I just didn’t like the pressure. I am getting my nails done not buying a used car!
