Vertigo

I went to a k-​pop event here last month and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. The outside didn’t look that appealing but the inside was really nice. The food was just okay. The fries were VERY salty so if you get them, ask for them plain. You’ll thank me later. The dance area is a good size with the DJ area on a raised platform. Hopefully we’ll have more k-​pop events here soon.

After reading all the reviews for this nightclub, here and elsewhere, I must admit I came here with very little expectations. My friend was turning 35 and this is where he wanted to have his party. Including myself, about 40 of his friends and coworkers showed. Upon arrival, we were all greeted with a smile, asked for our ID’s and turned loose. Being that I have never been here before and keeping in mind everything I read, I was determined to have one drink and no food. Within the hour, I ended up having two drinks (wine) and ordered food for myself, husband and brother. All three of us ate for $ 35.00; portions were great and the food was delicious! Around 10:30 is when everyone starts to arrive. Wonderful mix of crowd — late 20s, 30s and 40s. The DJ was awesome and interactive. Security was present, very well dressed and respectful. Décor was beautiful. Everyone seemed to really enjoy themselves. All-​in-​all I had a really nice time; I never gave Vertigo a fair shot from the beginning, but was pleasantly surprised! I can definitely see myself coming back in the future. S/​O to Haven our waitress who worked her tail off last night! She was warm, inviting, prompt and accommodating! Our bartender, Sydnie, was prompt, friendly, helpful and inviting as well. If you do not want to pay a cover charge, be sure to be there before 10:00; however, you may be the only one (s) there.

This place was pretty cool at first. Alright food. For two cokes and a side of fries it was 6 dollars. Not to bad. Then we got a beer and a water. I just asked for water and the bartender gave me a water bottle. Threw me off a little bit but didn’t worry about it. It was a 2 dollar domestic beer night. Husband bought a bud light. We gave him our card he said 10 dollars a limit for a card and he can only slide once. No signs or anything stating this rule. Ridiculous. Then we found dollars in our car and cashed out not using our visa. One bud light and a water bottle was 7 dollars. So confusing. Guess I should have just asked for a glass because that’s what the other bartender gave me in the first time. I think it’s just the one bartender. Glasses, tall and white. We also didn’t get a receipt. I feel like he’s hair hustling people. We’re not going back again.

Before we got into the place my boyfriend was asked to open his jacket to make sure he didn’t have any weapons on him! WTH?! We walked in and walked right back out. Definitely was not our scene.

Décor was BEAUTIFUL!!.greeters were very friendly & polite. .Perfect spot for date nite… I went on a Friday which wasn’t alot of people but I still enjoy the scenery & music. *Cons*…it was so cold in there.

I was there tonight your bar tender told me I could pay with my card. aka I asked «i would like one drink, can I pay with my card» she said yes. I think her name is beandi, I might be wrong, but the lady with blonde hair who bartender 12.9.14 is a lier. fuck her.

This place is a dive masquerading as a classy spot. The deco is lovely! Couches and sheers all around, nice neat bar! But here’s where the dive part rolls in… I had 3 drinks (only because my girl is moving to Australia and this is where she wants to meet with coworkers on her last day of work in the US) Grey Goose and cranberry shaken, can’t mess that up… but is it possible to get that in a clean glass? When the bartender asked if I wanted another, he took my glass (which was actually plastic but cute) to refill it… uhhhh…can I get a new glass dude? Not once, twice, but three times I drank from a dirty glass! Don’t ask why I kept drinking, only a vodka lover could explain this screwed up theory once we get going! There was no music but there was a small boom box plugged in by the stage. Yes, a boom box with a tape deck LOL! Now for the best part… the 2^nd shift bartender rolls in at about 6 pm to take over for the cook who was bartending (cute kid, didn’t do too bad) he immediately turns all the lights down very low, like candle light low! It’s maybe 6 people sitting at the bar. 2 construction guys, me and my friend, 2 chics with a guy… So I ask him could he turn the lights up a smidge because now it feels like I’m on a date with my girl vs having a few after work. He politely replies that he loves this setting and the lights give him a headache. Uhhhhhh you work here, I’m buying here (and drinking outta dirty cups!!!) I could give a (add your favorite cuss word here) what you like or what bothers you! He was very nice tho so I decided to just leave because I shouldn’t have to explain that… I’m hoping my friend changes her mind about coming here… I know I’ll want to eat wherever we are and this place has that «disappearing kitchen» you know that kitchen that’s around a corner that could be a bathroom or the alley for all you know! Or a greasy fat guy in there cooking and touching everything with no gloves! LOL! Most places at least have door that swings open and you might get a peek in the kitchen… I just can’t do it! Especially after drinking out of the dirty glasses that sat on display right at the bar… My bill was $ 27, I don’t think they have a happy hour. I should have took that $ 27 right over to the ABC store and picked up a fifth!

Grand opening. Good prices. Good music chill atmosphere. Will update the review once they get off the ground more.
