Well, this was interesting to say the least. My sister, my mother and I arrived at the store at 1155 for the noon«cooking class», and the doors were locked, so we stood outside with three cranky old ladies. This was the first missed step guys. How about make the class at 1215 or at least open the doors a few minutes early when you see people standing around outside. So we get inside. There’s a very nice kitchen set up near the front of the store so we walk up and stand around the counter. Second missed step, no chairs. I work on my feet for a living and would have appreciated being made to feel like I could relax instead of shifting foot to foot hoping the class wasn’t going to be too long. So there is a lady standing up there using a piece of kitchen equipment with an apron and NONAMETAG, and she just starts taking about what she is doing. No «Hello», no «Welcome», no introduction so I basically didn’t know if the class was even starting or who the heck the lady was. Then she gets her finger STUCKINTHEEQUIPMENT and picks it up and runs to the back of the store. Another lady comes to fill in(I think her name was Jean) and she starts making some kind of terrible pumpkin bread things, and she has no clue what she is doing. She says«maybe I should’ve done a practice run» when the bread is practically exploding out the top of the pan on the stove. She trashed most of the concoction. So I stand through most of this«class». The other unknown lady returns with a bandaged finger and thinks it’s just hilarious, and it’s clear that neither one of these ladies has any clue as to what they are doing. Miss No Name is making some kind of carrot squash casserole thing with an au gratin topping that we finally get to taste 30 minutes in and it was terrible. Tasted exactly like it came from a box. Then she is making a rue for some cheese sauce and Jean is trying to tell her it’s done and No Name is staring at her recipe with a clueless look on her face, it was just a train wreck. If the point of the class was to demonstrate the DIFFICULTY of using some of their products, then they succeeded. They also succeeded in making me feel like I could have taught that class without any prep or practice. I came out of it feeling like my cooking skills are above average because theirs were so bad and they are getting paid to do what they did! I’m sorry if this review is rough, but these are the reasons I will NEVER be back. If I had paid for the class, I would’ve asked for my money back.
