Definitely not a great place for boba tea! They were out of tapioca balls and they don’t have the seal machine

I’ve never had a bad experience here, but when walking in, an overwhelming smell of trash smacked you in the face and was lingering throughout the place. It kind of made me not want yogurt any more, but since I drove in the icy snow for it, I got it. My friend got cheesecake bites and they tasted sour. I’ve never had a bad yoghurt experience, and I eat it at least four times a month, so I was disappointed.

I love that I can get Boba and my husband can get his fro-yo fix. The Thai tea boba is my favorite, I would go everyday if my husband let me lol

The yogurt was great. Plenty of different kinds to choose from and plenty of toppings, as well. The interior has a great layout with a good amount of seating. The only problem I had with the location was the smell of grease or Chinese food in the building. Since it isn’t directly connected to any restaurants, I found this odd. I suppose I wouldn’t normally mind the smell, since I love Chinese food, but not while I’m trying to eat pistachio yogurt.

This place is so great. The décor is very colorful and the light fixture is so cool — fiber optic strands AND it changes color! It was very clean during our late night visit. They have a few machines with different frozen yogurt flavor options. However, what really shines here is the massive toppings bar. It is full of options and they’re all in neat little square bins that fit into the counter. I wish everything in my life could be as organized as that toppings bar! It was easy to find the toppings that I wanted and easy to serve myself. It was all handled with serving spoons, unlike some of the other local places have weird turn mechanisms that make it easy to get more than intended. They had a bunch of different sauces as well. I liked that they had a bulletin board for community connections — postings for local shops, gatherings, etc. Easily the best frozen yogurt place in the area.

Spacious froyo location in a Virginia Beach strip mall area. Immediately greeted up on entry, I opted for my favorite a mango bubble tea. I’m learning that the methodology is different wherever you may go. This bubble tea wasn’t bad but it had a slight floral taste that made me curiously continue sipping on it. A tad bit thinner in consistency than what I prefer, it was enough to keep me hydrated. Minimal amount of tapioca pearls in this one but I made do with it. It’s an average sized establishment and about a dozen options for frozen yogurt. The options bar is massive, they have fresh cut fruit and of course the crumbled candy and for you winners sprinkles. There are a few tables if you decide to consume your purchase on site. Plenty of parking and good customer service.

The yogurt(variety and taste) was great! And the toppings were also fantastic. I would rate 5 stars, but only has one problem, and that is that there were gnats flying around the fruit. I’ll likely go back, but if the gnats are there again, it’ll probably be my last time. Their FroYo isn’t good enough to dismiss bugs flying around.

Drove 25 minutes out of the way for this little shop going off of seven five-star reviews and was not disappointed. Although there were only eight or ten yogurt dispensers they were all delicious. I’m a traditional so I pass judgement based in large part on the original tart. I say the original wasn’t as good as Sweet Frog, but still enjoyable nonetheless. My more adventurous better half loved the strawberry, chocolate, and vanilla. We both sampled the other flavors and our conclusion is that they all taste delightfully better than anywhere else we have been to. Unlike other froyo places that taste a lot like chemicals, sweeteners, and artificial flavors, this place is tasty without being chemically inclined. If you enjoy a natural yogurt without the artificial sweetener taste then I suggest dropping by, whether you’re near by or 25 minutes away. Two other pleasing notes:(1) the fruits and other toppings were fresh and put out with care. They all looked to be chilled well and not mixed with each other.(2) The place was clean! Right after we all used the yogurt dispensers the young woman went out and cleaned them up and mopped as well. Not only do I look for clean food I look for clean establishments as well. The bubble tea was okay. I’ve had better, but these are okay. The liquid was not slushy, it was completely liquid. The tapioca pearls were cooked perfectly, and that’s always a plus! $ 15

Best frozen yogurt in va beach! The taro and cheesecake flavors are my favorite. They have different flavors all the time, I always catch the updates on which flavors they have on their Facebook page. The cashier is always super nice and helpful.

As a recovering sugar fiend, I’ve been to plenty of self-serve frozen yogurt spots. So many, in fact, that I’d begun to think that they were basically all the same… that is, until I visited this location. Stopped by exactly 4 minutes before close in true jerk fashion, expecting to be rushed out as quickly as possible. So not the case. The cashier was one really friendly dude. There were a good variety of flavors on tap during my visit: red velvet cake, coffee, thin mint, peach, original tart, raspberry, pineapple, & your standard chocolate/vanilla to name a few… and there are a TON of really fresh, quality toppings to choose from. Some notables: chocolate chip cookie dough & sugar cookie dough that tastes like it’s made from scratch, Heath toffee bar chunks, lychee boba, freshly sliced strawberry & kiwi, & many, many more. To sum it up — what makes this yogurt spot stand out from the rest? Everything. From the gorgeous décor(check out the gorgeous fiber-optic chandelier), to the excellent service, to the quality and variety of the flavors & toppings, PLUS the fact that they’re open until 10pm while other shops close at 9… I mean, do you need any more convincing at this point? Best yogurt place hands down. Not only do they have the best fro yo, they have the BEST boba milk tea!!! Taste like the hongkong style milk tea I would get in china town chicago(which I miss!!). It’s not too sweet and it’s super delish. My fave is the salted caramel popcorn! It’s so good that it’s unbelievably low fat.

Yogurt City wins the award for thee coolest froyo place in Virginia Beach hands down. This is a chain yogurt place with another location in Newport News. My friend Allison L. tried to tell the Unilocal community this Summer and some how her review was glossed over I assume. Every single review of this wonderful little find since it opened a year ago has given it a perfect 5. That just does not happen by accident. So how bold of me to say it’s the coolest at the beach but I stand by it. As a matter of fact it is the coolest and best… how bout those apples. The store is located in the strip East of the Main library and behind Applebee’s. There is plenty of parking and it fits in well with the assortment of other retailers in the area. Okay, so no excuse you can find it in the maze of strips along VB Blvd. The owners are a Chinese husband/wife team. The woman was at the counter tonight working away cleaning and smiling. The décor is nothing short of amazing. Whoever designed this small chain deserves high praise. Your greeted with beautiful snow white 24 inch floor tile. The furniture is a sleek orange leather chairs and white round tables. The ceramic tile on the walls, the multi colored drop ball lighting, the circular mirror on the ceiling with drop spiral effect lighting, the hundreds of pictures on the back wall of smiling customers that create a mosaic above the yogurt machines… It’s just all pretty awesome! Last but not least front lights of the counter display four different colors from one end to the other which is a stunner. Enough already, I think you have bought in… it is very cool. You can get a nice idea from my pics. What about the yogurt., the décor only goes so far. Well for one thing they had 12 machines up and cranking out delicious froyo on my visit tonight. The choice for me Cookies & Cream with plenty of delicious mix in’s to dump on top. I decided on cookie dough with Reese’s cup and chocolate chips. The owner was in front of me if help was needed. Off to the counter to weigh it in and shocker. A medium size cup filled all the way up $ 3.46, that is about $ 2 cheaper than the place a mile down the road. They offer four different size cups which is great for limiting the kido’s. I found a cozy chair and enjoyed my creation. I loved the yogurt and the fresh cookie dough topping pulled it all together. It was so scrumdiddylicious. I got a card for future visits that gives 10% off. I J David H. crown thee Yogurt City the BEST of Virginia Beach. Soon you will see that sign on their front window after word gets around. A place this special with great prices and top notch service cannot stay a secret for long. But if they need a little Unilocal help I got your back YC.

I had promised the kids a frozen treat, so on our way home from the beach I was looking for a place to stop. Yogurt City was the first one I spotted. I had never heard of it, but thought we’d give it a try. It was awesome! My seven year old declared it his favorite store ever. The décor and lighting are really neat and the place was very clean. They had maybe 12 froyo flavor selections and TONS of toppings to choose from. They even had a melted marshmallow topping in addition to the hot fudge and caramel. It’s priced by weight, as I think these type of places always are. My only complaint is the huge cups. I wish they had smaller cups for kids because they like to fill them. Our total was $ 17 for one adult and two kids! They also offered bubble tea in numerous flavors. The kids already can’t wait to go back.
