The previous owner, Mike Wilson, was a stand up guy. They did a lengthy, expensive and high quality restoration on my ’61XKE. Unfortunately, Mike sold the business at the same time the Jag was completed, but Mike and the new owner Bruce Turnipseed assured me that they would stand behind their work. They are now doing business as MWR Restorations in the same location. Within a month of getting the car back some bubbling appeared on a small area of the hood and the car stopped running. Hey, nobody’s perfect, and Bruce assured me they would take care of the problem. I had the car transported back to Visalia at considerable expense and the car was«done» a week later. It turns out, they charged me to replace a defective condenser that they had installed and just did a spot repair on the paint, with lots of orange peel in the clear coat and plenty of overspray. I had a local shop color sand and polish the hood and guess what, more bubbles under Bruce’s «repair»! I sent the body shops report to Bruce and he informed me they were not doing any warranty work for Mike Wilson. Hello… the bubbles are under the repair that YOU did Bruce. Needless to say, I will find a local shop to repaint the hood and will NEVER use MWR again, and neither should you!
