Overall, We had a really good experience. We were given the choice between a booth or a table and the customer service was great. I read the reviews while already sitting in the restaurant and I was a bit nervous but we did not experience any of the issues that many of the previous customers did. The stuffed mushrooms were amazing. I would recommend this restaurant.

Good Italian food, and good customer service. I went there for lunch and the place was empty. They give delicious bread, by the time my food came I was full because the bread was just way too good. Food was okay noting impressive, but I will definitely go back to this place just because of their bread

After reading bad reviews, I was worried about trying this place out. However, I am very happy I finally decided to visit this place. We were promptly seated on a Sunday afternoon. Our drinks were brought out immediately as well as the bread and a salad. The bread was warm but it did taste a lot like garlic and the salad had a good amount of dressing in it. Once our food was brought out it was perfectly hot and the presentation was great! The service was also marvelous. I cannot wait to try more dishes! Thank you Strings!

Our experience was wonderful. The taste of the food was A+ …all the sauces… amazing! Highly recommend the clam app. Only thing stopping me from giving 5 stars was the service… our server was ok she did her job but not overly friendly or excited to be at work on a Sunday… like I said was just good just the difference for me between 4 and 5 stars. The food though amazing would never return to Olive Garden again now that we found Strings!

I would put 0 stars if I could. I’ve been going to strings for most of my life, but I’ve never felt this disgusted with their performance. The waitress Ashley was very rude and the whole staff including the owner was unprofessional. They have no patience whatsoever. My tables drinks were slammed down in front of us, the checks were thrown at us, and our change wasn’t properly given. We wrote reviews on their paper and the owner ripped them up in our faces, and threw them up like it was confetti. He also followed us out as we drove away. If you don’t want our feedback don’t put them out. Never will I recommend Strings, and Never will I go back again. They wonder why their business is going down, it’s simply because they do a very bad job. If you can’t handle working/serving people, quit. Once they read this they will know who we are.

Never before have I ever been so disrespected in my life. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Lets start from the beginning. So me, my sister, my cousin, a close family friend and her husband all decided that we wanted to re-visit Strings.(Me and my sister were regulars) It is about 7:30pm on a Thursday night, and the restaurant was almost empty. We are welcomed by our waitress, her name was Ashlee, and are seated. She asked for our drink order, but she became agitated when we asked about the alcoholic beverage options(Due to the fact that we did not have a menu of our options). We finally requested the beverage menu and she simply walked away without saying a word. She later returned with the menu and stood there until we ordered our drinks.(pressuring us to be hasty in our decision). We then asked for the bread appetizer, and she insisted that we order our food before she brings the bread out. Pressured yet again, we began to make yet another hasty decision. Now at this point I mentioned to my sister that I was not very hungry, and I recommended that we share our main course. Our waitress made it very clear that if we were to split a plate she would add an additional 7 dollars to our bill. We were unclear of the purpose of this additional charge, but when we asked for clarification, we were responded with a very rude response. To avoid conflict we agreed to the additional charge. Finally, we received our bread and salad. My close family friend made a comment that the salad was bland, and was obviously from a bag. Our waitress snapped at her denying her accusations. My close family friend *feeling attacked* apologized. Then the main course arrived, and to my surprise I find a long black hair in my pasta. To avoid embarrassment I said nothing, and didn’t eat it. As we finished up our meals our waitress returns with the check in hand. We mention that we will need to have the check split up. We discuss for a minute who will pay for what, but our waitress was not patent at all. She stormed away, and we heard her in the back saying«Someone needs to bring those people their checks because I can’t stand them.» We sit there quietly waiting for someone to return. 10 minutes later she returns with 5 separate checks in hand, and she throws them onto our table saying«Maybe this will make it easier for you.» We then ask that we combine 3 checks and 2 checks. When she returned with the finalized check, we noticed a customer response form. Dissatisfied we each fill one out. I left a note on the back of mine saying, «I understand that you may have had a bad day, but you must still be patient and not rude with indecisive customers.» We leave the response forms in the middle of the table and we leave the restaurant. We all pile into the car and reflect on our unpleasant evening. ASWEBEGINTOPULLOUTWESEETHEMANAGEROFTHERESTAURANTWAVINGATUSTELLINGUSTOSTOP. Hastily I slam the brakes and all of our attention was on him. A BIGSMILEGROWSACCROSSHISFACEASHEPROCEEDSTORIPUPTHECUSTOMERRESPONCESANDTHROWTHEPICESINTOTHEAIRLIKECONFETTI. We notice the entire staff laughing in the background as if it were some big joke. In awe I proceed to drive away. THEN the Manager runs out of the restaurant to the parking lot and laughs at us as we drive away. On the car trip home we were baffled by unprofessionalism of the Manager. We all vowed then and there to never return to that awful and nasty restaurant. I advise all of you not to support such rude and vile place when this is how they treat customers when people are not watching. I am currently still in awe that these events took place, and I hope you keep our experience in mind when you decide if you will dine at Strings Italian Restaurant. Thank You For Your Time!

Food and service was super amazing, except for my salad. My salad tasted like it was straight from the bag, didn’t taste very fresh, and the texture was wilted. My entrée was so good! The stuffed mushrooms are so so delicious! Our waitress was«Valerie«and she was very friendly, and fast! I will definitely be returning, but gonna skip the salad.

My family and I dine out at strings at least 4 – 5 times a month. The staff is always friendly and attentive. My husband usually gets the penne creamy pesto pasta with chicken and I always get the penne alfredo. We have been going to strings since 2012 and have never had a bad experience with the food or service.

Stuffed mushrooms were terrible and were drenched in pasta sauce. Stuffed chicken breast had some much pepperoni in it that it was overpowering the chicken, and thats all you could taste. Only thing that was good was the cheese bread.

If I could give these guys 0 stars I would. We had 5 adults &2 babies. Once they read this review I’m sure they’ll know who we were. Starting off, we waited almost 20 mins to be seated when they had 5 tables being served and more than a dozen empty. Half the empty tables had dirty plates from prior customers. The place was practically empty. Wonder why? Keep reading… Another customer left and they were down to 4 tables. Finally, as I asked everyone if they wanted to leave and eat somewhere else that came over and seated us. They took our drink order right away. They brought us cold bread to start with which was supposed to be hot. The bread was uncooked all the way through, there was a gel layer on the edges that looked like clear goo. The waitress brought out my brothers food and placed his scolding hot plate between him and his 1yr old son. Guess what happened? The baby touched the plate and burned himself??? We were sooo mad! Then she asked if she could get some ice for the baby that she caused to burn! Then the Alfredo pasta was bland with no flavor, I’ve had store bought Alfredo sauce that had more flavor. We couldn’t eat the eggplant parm pasta bcus the eggplant was over done. Jess ate what she could and left the rest. 2 of us work in the restaurant business so we were really disappointed. Bad food is bad food and can’t be played off as anything else to us. We don’t eat out all the time because of our ability to cook good food at home, so when we do we don’t expect it to be a crappy experience at any price. Such a disappointment, we will never be returning to this place again! If the restaurant staff read this which I hope they do! Train your staff, especially on serving tables where children are present! Also, taste your food. If it sucks then fix it! Don’t serve food that doesn’t have flavor. Just feels as if the people cooking it aren’t caring about whether it’s good or bad. Keep hot food hot and cold food cold. If the temp isn’t right then don’t serve it! Make a new one! Best of luck to you guys, hope you fix your staff which will probably fix everything else. Managers should be catching these issues and I’m guessing that’s not happening. Managers, servers and especially cooks need to be trained. Total failure here…

A thoroughly enjoyable meal. All you can eat pasta on Wednesday nights so we lucked out. Salad was a bit weird-raisins and sunflower seeds in a house salad at an Italian restaurant? Also, have to pay extra for tomatoes in my salad? Wtf? Waitress was nice. Fettuccine Alfredo was great. Spaghetti with meat sauce and meatballs was bomb. Will be back.

My husband and I really enjoyed our dinner here a couple of nights ago. Our waitress was very friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. The food was really good. It felt really like a homemade style food. So not some super fancy chef food but something your grandma would make you. The meals are very affordable too. Average dinner is around 15 dollars, that includes bread and salad. The owner came around checking on everyone which was very nice. He was cool and not pretentious at all. He even took an order from us before we knew his position. So with great service and good affordable food we’ll definitely be back.

The service is great. Food was prepared well. However, it was very bland. The garlic bread was doughy and had an odd after-taste, but the stuffed mushrooms made up for that. Best stuffed mushrooms in Visalia!

Service was great but food was bland. The bread was doughy. Description of plates were not accurate as menu stated. I don’t think we will be coming back to the place again.

A nice and cozy place that is now my GOTO place for Italian or just a relaxing meal, During the week at lunch time they have All You Can Eat Pasta for $ 7.99. This includes their house salad, bread and pasta. The appeal to this is that there’s about 6 different pastas and six different sauces including meat sauce and pesto. I chose angel hair and creamy pesto and received a steaming, hot bowl of pasta. So nice for a chilly day! It was so much that I ended up taking some home and didn’t get to try any of the other options. If you’re not a big eater, I suggest you request half and half, which the waitress informed me they could do. Will definitely do that next time! The regular menu is reasonable priced and the meal options look delicious. I would definitely recommend for a quite meal!

My fiancé and I had dinner here during our weekend stay in Visalia. We found the restaurant after looking for local Groupon deals. The restaurant has more more of a casual feel. We do not eat at Italian restaurants often so our experience is limited, however the food was amongst the best we’ve had! Definitely beats Olive Garden. I had Fettuccine Milano and house salad. My fiancé had the Bacon Spinach Linguine and soup. He also had strawberry Italien soda which was okay. Servers were friendly and service reasonably quick!

Great food, great service and nice ambiance. I had the salmon entrée and I was completely satisfied. It was succulent and tasty. The vegetables and penny pasta on the side match perfectly with it. My wife had the Fruti de Mari. I tasted a sample of it and it was equally delicious. And of course, the bread is uniquely scrumptious. The only criticism I have is the limited dessert selection. At that time, they only have cheesecake and I am not a fan of it. But it is still a 5 to me.

We came here for dinner tonight and it was a huge disappointment. When our salad came, the lettuce wasn’t crisp. You can tell it had been sitting for awhile because the lettuce was soggy. I ordered the baked penne which was ok, I could’ve made it at home using some preggo sauce. My husband ordered fettuccine Alfredo which was horrible. It was so dry! Seriously the worst fettuccine Alfredo I’ve ever had. And lastly, I asked for more bread(from a different waitress, not ours) and never received it. Sometimes I can overlook it but this time, no, because there we were the only ones in the whole place! At the end of our meal, I asked to speak with the manager. He said he would talk to his Staff and reduced our bill. I will say this, our waitress was kind and always had a smile. Probably the best part of our evening dining here.
