EcoWater San Diego

I was looking for two things; drinking water that didn’t taste like salt and soft water to preserve my appliances. Any reading on the subject is mostly marketing mix with enough chemistry to make you dizzy and sales people focus on the cost saving of using less soap, preserving your clothes and the poisons used by the water utilities industry.
I don’t respond to fear based sales and anyone measuring their shampoo usage is insane. I took the method of getting an overwhelming amount of information to make my decision. I consulted the local water board, five different water purification companies and got three water tests done.
At the end of the day we decided on Ecowater because they are backed by Costco. What that means to us is we have the guarantee of their installation, manufacturing and upkeep of the system.
Bruce was knowledgable, respectful of our house and needs. I recommend working with him.

Have been using Eco water softener for more than 6 months, glad that we choose eco water.
Van Cao was super helpful, very patient explaining how it works and I had minor repair on RO I called her the technician came and fixed in couple of hours.

I have heard about the softener water but I never knew it was good or just the same as regular water. I went to Costco and a sales person offered me the water softener that they were promoting. I registered and the sale came out where it explained more details. They just set up a whole system for a week. First time, I took a shower. I went out and I felt a big difference for my skin. It is more soft without using lotion and my hair as well, more shine without milky spotly crust. I don’t have to spend more time to clean up. It is more cleaner than regular water. I had drank the water and I feel big difference too.
To my experience, it is worth to have a water softener for long term investment. It makes your life better. I strongly recommend you need to use the water softener. You will fall in love with it.

We’ve had our whole house filter system plus the reverse osmosis drinking water system for 4 years now, and continue to enjoy the benefits of the two systems. We had to move our washer and dryer and the person doing the work commented on how clean the drain pipe was, said he had never seen one so clean, which I attribute to the filtration system. Additionally, we enjoy how clean our clothes are and the good taste of the water, and veggies cooked with it. Overall, one of the best investments we have made for our health and well being.

It’s been three months since we had the ecowater system, I rarely come to any review site to do this but Wanda Smith and the rest of the company deserve praise for their great customer service. I did a lot of research and compared systems and EcoWater got the win. Most due to Wanda who was extremely professional and available to answer all my questions via phone and via email. She went over and above in her customer service and the 3 installers were great.
I had a problem after day one and they came out within hours and fixed it. I’m very impressed with my experience and would highly recommend this system and this team they use.

Please do not try this company we had a system in our business and it did not work when we tried to call them to get it fixed the person that came and fixed it was rude and frustrated with us when their system was not working. We where on a contract and they did not let us terminate the contract or fix our non working water system which meant we had to pay for something that was not working for our business. Try another water company that is more customer oriented and has a better product

Capo Beach’s water hardness registers over 428 ! We consulted Eco Water inside SJC Costco and we were sold the perfect system for our home. Wanda was so friendly & professional– a pleasure to do business with! Ditto with the installation crew– friendly & efficient. We are super happy with the whole experience!

I wanted to wait 6 months of use before I reviewed the company and product.
First of all, sales rep and install were awesome. Professional and no problems. All questions answered thoroughly.
I noticed a difference in my skin right away. So soft and smooth. No more scaly, dry arms. My hair started feeling thicker and healthier after 6 months.

With my previous softener i was always adding salt! And the «recharging» was loud. That experience almost led me to not ever get a softener again.
Drinking water is great. No more hauling the 5 gallon jugs.
I was a little stressed on the cost at first but now I think — totally worth it.
Hand washing felt a little «slimy» at first but now it’s fine.

I have heard the water in San Diego is extremely hard. I won’t believe it until I found there are many white stains in the bathroom glass and tiles. I am a big fan of Costco. I was so excited when I saw the water oftener are being sold in Costco.
The Ecowater sent a person called Kevin Rankins who was so patient to explain the details and shown us some experiments of the waters. I tasted the water and decided to give it a try.
After installation, we can feel the difference right away like No white stain in the bathroom, using less soap and detergent, skin is so smooth. In addition, I always get the compliments from my friends how good is my drinking water! I am very satisfied with Kevin’s service and I would highly recommend people buy waster softer from Kevin Rankins in EcoWater!

After moving into our new home 5 bedroom in San Juan Capistrano it became apparent the water was very hard and didn’t taste very good to drink and my skin and hair became dry and itchy. Also, noticed white scale on refrigerator water dispenser. I decided to get a water softening system that also cleaned the water. After a few weeks of research on half dozen of the best systems available I chose Eco Water System. They are a preferred exclusive supplier for Costco. I know Costco does a huge amount of due diligence before they allow a products in their stores. My Brother supplies them with Koh Coconut water. So that made me even more confident. Their price is fair and competitive with the other companies but they are backed by Costco. I dealt with Wanda Smith out of Oceanside. She came out to our home evaluated our water and made a thoughtful recommendation. I also got the under the counter reverse osmosis for pure drinking water. I recommend it highly. The installation went smoothly and the installer was very professional. Wanda followed up with me several times after the installation to make sure I was happy. She even came back to our our home to test our water which is now super clean, soft, and tastes great. I would recommend Wanda and her company to anyone. We even got a nice 10% refund from Costco from our purchase which we appreciated.

After posting my 6÷27÷13 review, I am back as I have just purcased to two filters to change out last years. The cost is about $ 100 delivered and installation was easy like changing a light bulb.
Wonderful Wanda Smith walked me through a quick install over the phone and we are back in business. Our second year of saving hundreds of dollars and not putting trucks on the road to deliver water here.

We are very pleased with the water quality and service from the system we had installed a week ago. Huge difference in how our skin feels with soft water. The taste of the reverse osmosis water is exactly the same as the expensive and heavy bottled water we have been using for the last couple years. This company helped me find the right product which made it easy for me and my family to decide and budget. The installation was done the next day right on time and looks great. Scheduled an install today. I was asked to be home from 9−11am. Took the morning off to be here. No show from the company to install nor a call from the company letting me know the status.

After putting my review on Unilocal,Eco Water did contact me and sent out someone to properly clean up the machine. It has only been about 1 week and I hope that the salt will be better for my family.

Eco water was one of 5 companies we interviewed. Being represented at Costco and owned by Berkshire Hathaway, they are the most reputable company in this business. The local EcoWater distributor in San Diego was very attentive to our concerns and needs. We struggled a bit with paying more for their system ($ 2,900 vs $ 2,200 with the next closest competitor), but their warranties and service made all of the difference.
If you are looking for softened water that will truly make a difference in your every day life, from cooking to washing to handling allergies, dry skin, etc., then I truly recommend you let EcoWater bid against the competition and see what they, and this San Diego/​Orange County dealer have to offer.
