IHOP

Manager told us ten minutes for a seat, and as we were talking and laughing looked at us disgusted. Felt uncomfortable and decided to leave after 15 minutes of waiting.

Went here because my 9 yr old daughter wanted to go on a Saturday… Just the 2 of us.
I’m sitting here pissed off. I have been sat in a side room off the main dining area. When we entered I commented to the staff member that it was way to loud in this room and he completely skipped over my comment and showed us to out table.
Once seated I noticed that all the families with children are seated in here. So I asked my well behaved and quiet daughter to stay in her seat and cruised the main dining area. Wouldn’t you guess no kids under 15.
Screw this place. Discriminating because I have showed up with my child. If I had shown up with a buddy from work I would not be seated in a loud ass room with a bunch of screaming kids. The host would have actually paid attention to my comment. (Like normal)
IHOP I can tell by your rating you don’t care so I hope this helps keep people out of your front door.

My server is the only thing positive about my trip in here today. She is on top of her tables and delivering great service. Go Gabriela! Thank you. I adjusted up to 2 stars just because of you!

That was the worse ever. Took forever to get our drinks and order. And the manager acted like he could care less considering he took our drink order. When the server came to bring our order she said I can’t take your order, your waitress will be with you shortly. Omg. That took another 15 mins. Then we got our order I had requested 3 times a glass of water. After 4^th and final request I got it. That manager should of been making sure his wait staff was on top of things instead of seating people. What a horrible experience eating there. I doubt we will ever go back. And good luck on that $ 15/​HR raise. Unless these people check their attitude I will not leave a tip. They want $ 15/​HR they will have to survive on that.

Service is awful. Place was simply DEAD when we came in (we counted 6 tables with customers) and yet our simply scramble eggs with pancakes took 40 minutes. Worst there was no manager on duty cause he was stuck in traffic!!!

I am truly so upset with this iHop. I’ve lived in this area my whole life, this has been my neighborhood pancake place for 20+ years and I will never eat here again. My husband and I ate here a week ago and the service was so awful that we filed a complaint with the manager Miguel and at the time and he was very happy to give us a free meal next time we came in. Fast forward to today, we went in to get a free breakfast and we were ignored for almost an hour while other people were served around us. When I finally asked if we had been called they insisted that they had called us and that I was at fault for not hearing them. All three of us had never heard our name called. Once we FINALLY got seated the server and food was fine, but paying was a different occurence. They completely ignored the fact that my husband and I had more expensive meals and proceed to try to charge us extra by comping the cheaper meal. I understand that happens with coupons, but this meal was supposed to be comped due to the horrible service we had received the week before. Not only did I pay for the meal the week before but I had to pay extra for this meal today. Miguel is awful and unprofessional and was accusatory and argumentative to us. I’m pissed off and will be filing a complaint with corporate.

Wow, the service SUCKS! I came in at 430pm on a weekday which btw there was only one other person inside and it took 15 minutes for a server to come to my table. Once I ordered it took 45 minutes for the food to come to my table. Then… Only once was I approached for needing anything which I was out of water and tea. Finally I gave up on being able to drink and ate all my food which then took 10 more minutes for the Damn check!
Slow slow slow.

Worst service I have ever had, could not even get a refill from our waitress, both drinks were empty when she served our food, and she didn’t come back to check on anything after serving our food, we had to ask somebody else when we were already done for refills. Miryam A definitely needs to be retrained on how to do her job.

The waitress sat me down at a table that had three hairs on it at 5:20 am. Out of all the tables. The only thing that tasted good where the pancakes from my country fried steak and eggs. Nothing else. To pricey. I won’t come here again.

We had a great server today. She was on it. The toasted marshmallow hot cocoa was divine and our country omelette was also delish. No complaints.

The food was decent. Massive portions. The server, I think her name was Griesel, was so sweet and friendly. I came first thing in the morning and it was not busy at all. There seems to be plenty of parking in the area. The food came out very fast. The coffee was below average but that’s okay. It was a good, quick stop before a fishing trip!

I have never been more disatisfied. I have been here on numerous occasions, and it’s always either horrid service with horrid food, or just horrid seevice. If i go its only my families choice, and i have to have a specific waitress her name is rosie. She is amazing! She is the only reason I come back once every blue moon.

The food is usually good, as good as an IHOP can get anyway. The service is a mixed bag. Usually the service is good but once in a blue moon it will be substandard. I feel this is an above average Ihop and it’s my go-​to 24 hour diner.

Hope you get Cassandra as your waitress!
She should be a trainer for this chain.
She is top notch, #1 in my book! What a great young lady!

Came in for dinner*****STICKER SHOCK*****!!! A kids meal of microwaved Mac Cheese w/​fruit (or fries) and a refillable drink=$ 7.48!!! So husband and I opted out of eating… ordered Iced tea… not so tasty. $ 14 bill. Going to have to stick to home cooking and dollar menus.
Service was good and friendly.

Love this IHOP! Especially appreciate the 24 hr service. It’s a great late night after party spot, well in my case after-​bible study spot (yes we get to hanging out late discussing, joking and laughing) And we have had huge gatherings at this place late at night. The owner got so used to seeing us that he printed us out tons of these specialty coupons just for us. So personally I am really thankful for this place.
The service has always been great. I have never had any issues with the food. Great menu with lots of options plus there promotional dishes to switch it up which is nice. The prices are decent. The waitresses aren’t always trying to upsell you with add on toast and appetizers like some of these other breakfast places have started doing.
I would definitely recommend this place. My church is right across the street too if you ever wanna stop by on a Sunday for good sound biblical preaching. :))

Believe it or not «Free Pancake Day» is NOT an excuse for terribleness .
–The Staff was rude
–Table was covered in crumbs
–The tip from the last person was still on our table.
This was my first time at this location and it was awful. The place was packed with high school kids who put their skate boards on the seats and were loud as hell but the worst part was the way we were treated by staff.
We got there and were told there would be a 25 minute wait so we went outside and waited. I’m a 28 year old man and my cell phone was dead so I basically just stood there listening to names being called. Lots of calls for a party of 7, a call for a girl named Maple (maybe named after the syrup!) and yea, lots of random names but not mine. 40 minutes or so later I went up and asked them if they were close to my name, I then saw on the list they had scribbled my name out. The lady said «We called your name many times.» which I promise you is not true. They had changed the person calling names several times and somehow skipped over me. Not a huge deal! It was super busy. The problem was when I asked to be next she said «Sure we’ll call you in a minute, just don’t wander off this time and listen for your name»
How fucking rude! She decided to blame me instead of saying «So sorry, we’re super busy and must have skipped over your name»
I’m a 28 year old man. I think I have the ability to listen for my own name, especially several times.
So yeah that was rude and annoying. We were then brought to our table which was sticky and covered in crumbs. It looks like we also got a bonus perk of getting to keep the last persons tip. (Picture
) But I’m not a jerk so of course I left it there till she eventually came to pick it up.
The pancakes were good for me since I like them runny but they were literally able to be cut in half with a fork and you could see the insides drip out.
Kind of just trashy. Gotta say I won’t be coming back. First time here but I’ve been to the Ihop’s on Oceanside Blvd many times and If you’re willing to make the drive, the one on 1806 Oceanside Blvd is now the ONLY one I’ll go to.

Never once had bad service at this location. It’s always clean and cozy. The hamburgers here are seriously so good, no one ever believes me but i recommend you try one for yourself. I don’t like omelettes but a few times my friends have ordered one and they are giant and apparently very satisfying. One thing that was weird was that the server the other night told me they don’t have any decaf iced teas… am I crazy or is that weird.(?)
A big downfall for this location is that this seems to be the place for people to get pulled over when they’ve been called by the police to exit off sycamore, living right down the street I’ve seen it multiple times. Looks bad for the business but don’t let it deter you!
Also, this location is 24 hours! The best part :)

Enjoying their Red, White & Blue Pancake Short Stack. Free on Veteran’s Day. Once again, delicious. Quick & friendly service with a smile. The coffee is good too. My family used to go to IHOP after church every Sunday. I have never been disappointed. I’ll be back.

So I came in here and waited to be seated because the hostess was on the phone.
(Only upset because I was on a time limit)
Than this is the ONLY IHOP not to have cinnamon swirl pancakes… WT* that’s some bs…
Then I asked for a mango sprite and… To my surprise mango lemonade.

Not bad food and great service. Came here early one morning. I don’t usually eat at IHOP but was happy to visit. The place was very clean which is great for a place open 24 hours. Excellent server at 4:00 am which was impressive.
Will go again if i’m asked
