Very friendly and helpful staff. Love shopping here for my shoes. I know I can always get the best deals without having to use coupons but when I do it’s an extra bonus. They carry cute and unique styles. Right now, any red ticket on shoes is $ 5 wahoo. 30% off on socks. I receive their emails/text messages. Best thing ever, seriously take advantage if you haven’t already. I always get complimentes on my shoes, theyre comfortable too. Quality is good, usually last 2 + years. I will continue to come back.

Edit: apparently MULTIPLE people have complained about her already to another location. This manager is so bad that a handful of people left her store to go to others! Bad sign right there. Manager here is a complete and utter B!@&#. Worst f-ing customer service I have ever had! She is condescending, laughs at you and tells you to «have a great day» in such a stick up her butt way, I couldn’t believe it. Especially for a middle aged woman towards someone way younger than her. She wouldn’t even honor the lowest price on shoes and laughed in my face when I asked if I could get a pair of shoes of the price that’s on the BOX. She just ripped it off saying that’s not the computer’s price so nope. It’s pretty sad to be giving a place 1 star but her attitude was disgusting. I’m also going to complain to corporate because she should not be in retail if she’s going to be such a brat to customers. She also follows you around and is super pushy.

I’ve been living in Vista for a few years and been going to this Payless shoe store almost every 2 weeks just to see what’s new(hey, like any normal functioning female, I love shoes). It has changed the last year. Probably cause employees come and go(or at least that’s what it looks like) and there is this new curly blonde(manager?) lady there that’s too pushy and«selly» for my personal taste. As soon as you walk in the store you’re bombarded with a long ass script of «what can I help you find-what are you looking for-okay-well-look for the red tags-everything that has a red tag is on sale-meow meow moo» which I’m familiar with already so I have to politely listen to it every time I walk in. Personally, all I need is «Hello, welcome, let me know if you have any questions.» but that’s just me. You might think«Oh, she asked you if she can help you and you’re complaining, WHAT?» No, that’s not what I have a problem with. After she asked me «Are you looking for something specific» the FIRST time and I politely said«I’m just BROWSING, thank you.» she came again 3 mins later to ask me if I’m looking for something specific and what she can help me find. Well, like I already told you not too long ago. I’m literally just browsing, so you can’t help me find anything cause I’m not looking for anything specific but thank you… again. If I see something I absolutely love that catches my eye, I’ll buy it. That’s happened pretty much every time I’ve gone in there for the last year. The time before this one I was followed around by one of her employees with same thing — asking me if she can help me find something a total of 3 times. In between me trying on shoes, she’d come back and start commenting on the shoes Im trying on. and if I’m going to be traveling soon. what? Most of the time this store is empty, so I can imagine why they need to be all over you as soon as you walk in — they’re just happy to see a human being in there but that particular day there were other people in there, so I was wondering why she was spending so much time dancing around me instead of attending to other customer’s needs? The time before that one, I was actually buying shoes from the store and while I’m waiting to pay for them the curly blonde(manager?) lady starts trying to sell me more stuff. Do you need socks? There’s a deal on them. No, maybe next time, thank you. They probably won’t be here next time, you might want to buy them now. Listen, you’re lucky I’m even buying shoes I shouldn’t be buying cause I have plenty, I don’t need to be buying socks in the middle of summer. And no, I don’t need new sunglasses either. Overly selly people in stores annoy the shit out of me. If I need shoes, socks, sunglasses, I WILL buy it without being told to do so like a 5 year old. So I walked out of the store and went to Famous Footwear next door instead, which is where I’ll be going from now on. The people at the front said«Hello, welcome, let us know if you need help.» I spend 20 full mins in there enjoying the shoes, trying on the same shoe 5 times and not even once was I interrupted. Not even once did anyone need to tell me to look for«red tags» for sales because usually… whether it’s a red tag or not, it’s pretty obvious it’s on sale.

Excellent and friendly service! The empolyee there approached us right away to help us find what we were looking for. And if they don’t have what you’re looking for in-store then they can order it online and sometimes it would be cheaper that way.

The people here are really attentive and helpful! They’re willing to find your size or shoe if you can’t find it, and are also willing to order them for you. Their location is also next to other clothing stores so it makes pretty convenient. On a funny story note, I scared a worker because I’m tiny and I was crouching down looking at some soles. She didn’t know I was there so when I popped up I almost gave her a heart attack. Lol I’m sorry, but she’s cool :-)
