Still a great spot for breakfast. Kind of remodeled recently. Still a long wait on weekends. Friendly non chain and fun.

Places like Bobby’s are a dying breed. Dive bar and grill with awesome menu, super friendly staff(including Bobby) and killer grub.

Visit the restaurant often. Last visit was for Mother’s Day, which is a holiday I usually screw up. The three kids and I brought mom in for her favorite breakfast and as usual you guys knocked it out of the park! Thank you for the perfect start of the first Mother’s Day in many years that I(dad) didn’t screw it up!!!

Great food good prices. We went for St Patty’s day and had a great corned beef and cabbage meal, We have had the fish fry and breakfast here before too. Always good food but the bar is right on top of your table and some of the drunks can get loud and obnoxious. Try to get a table on the end away from them if you can food is worthy of a try

Knew a cook there. Kitchen is a nightmare from a cleanliness perspective. He quit after a day because it was so bad and no one cares. Avoid.

The best Friday fish fry outside do Wisconsin. Outstanding breakfast, great service. This is one of favorite places to go.

Food is good and atmosphere is very low key. Owner is always around and always saying«hi». Severs/Bartenders are average to good. Some of them get too distracted talking to the«regulars» that they forget about their other customers. Speaking of some of the«regulars», the reason I gave them only 3 stars is the fact that I have been there a handful of times where at least one of them was clearly very intoxicated and the workers allowed the person to continue to drink as well as make scene after scene without trying to handle the situation. Seeing a person get drunk is not unexpected in a dive-y type bar, but the things they are allowed to get away with puts the average customer in an awkward position to say the least.

It’s so good i couldn’t wait until i finished my meal. Don’t wait for a table, muscle your way to the bar where you’ll have the personal attention of Bobby himself. This place was PACKED and he still spent a few minutes describing the morning’s specials in gastronomic detail. Every single person that works here is friendly, polite, attentive and dedicated. The customer service is stellar. The food… fantastic. He had the gyro plate & eggs; no explanation required. I indulged in the Western Benedict… toasted English muffins topped with grilled mushrooms, onions, spinach, skirt steak, salsa, hollandaise and melted cheese. Seriously. And a generous helping of hash browns. I finished half and have plenty left for dinner. The Bloody Mary was perfectly basic, modestly garnished with a pickle-wrapped olive. This is my new favorite place.

If you are randomly in Volo, this is the place to stop! Pretty dive-y but comfy on the inside. Very casual, friendly atmosphere. Great food, huge portions! The chopped steak and eggs was delicious, and the steak was perfectly cooked! For 2 beverages and 2 huge breakfast entrees(def had leftovers!) it was $ 29 before tip. A little more than I’d typically spend on breakfast, but well worth it. I’ll be making the 45 minute trek to Volo again soon for some of their tasty food and great service!

Have lived not far from Volo for a long time and unfortunately never noticed Bobby’s right around the corner from big intersection at rt. 12 and Hwy 120. Now let me just say that this is an old place that may not look like much from the outside and inside just reminds me of an old house tavern from the 80’s. However the food is spot on excellent. I had the Bobby’s Burger and it’s off the charts! Cooked and seasoned to perfection with a huge order of tasty fries. The service here is fast and always excellent. The desserts are also bomb! Homemade peach cobbler and a bread pudding that was ridiculous! Michelle are her husband are the owners and if you can catch Michelle, she is the sweetest woman ever! Give this place a try!!!

We went for breakfast and I had the corned beef and eggs. The best thing was the corned beef was homemade. I like that they offer you a choice of potatoes with your breakfast, hash browns or American fries which are the sliced version cooked on the grill nice and crispy just like I like ‘em. Very friendly service. The coffee cup was always filled before it was empty. And since it’s a bar they have bloody mary’s and mimosas. Daily specials. Fish fry on Wednesdays and Fridays offering about six different versions of cod, fried, baked etc.

Food is ok. The space is VERY limited. It may hold 30 people. So, if you have a large group, this may not be the place to go.

We went there because I’ve heard good things about their breakfast. It had a fun, friendly atmosphere, we got our food quickly, and everything was made exactly as ordered! My skirt steak was delicious and the portion to cost ratio was pretty great. A lot of good food. I was very happy with this place and will try and come by for breakfast more often!

This place is nothing more than a dive bar. We went in for lunch, it was so dirty and dark. No one greeted us, we just choose a table and waited. A young bartender waited on us, she was sweet. We ordered 2 italian beefs, fries and cokes. The beefs were not good at all. The meat was gross, over cooked and no flavor. The bread tasted old and cold and the cheese was not good. Also the cups for the Coke were questionable as far as being clean. We were really disappointed in the place as a whole. We will never go again nor will we recommend it to anyone.

We went here after football practice. We decided to give this place a try after our friend stated they had good breakfast. I was starving and while waiting for our table, we saw a plate of fish fry come out with a waitress and it looked good. We decided to get the fish fry. It was a disappointment, it had no flavor and the tarter sauce didn’t help. Our friend stated her salad was good. First impression was not good so we won’t be back.

This place is a great dive, on the prairie! Every once in awhile, I head out to the prairie with someone who knows what’s up. And this place is up. It was Friday, so I thought I’d take advantage of the Cod fish fry. And it’s not because I worship some imaginary friend, I just loves me some fish! This was goooood. Fluffy filets with crunchy batter. The batter could have been the tiniest bit thinner, but the flavor was great. And the coleslaw was delicious too, not a throwaway side, this was tasty, tangy stuff and not drenched in mayonnaise. Curly fries come with the fish and they were hot, savory and tasty(and covered with cheese!). My companion had a burger, and it was delicious as well. Tasty and juicy and a good size. Not vulgar-huge so you sleep after lunch, but a nice size. The lunch counter/bar itself is great. Kitschy enough to be amusing and authentic enough to have character — this place has been here awhile. An oasis amidst the lame suburban strip malls and endless Walgreens. Roll into Bobby’s!
