I like this SS store, it typically has what I need and I like the lower price point. I have noticed that they have this high turnover rate for some products and I don’t understand why. As soon as I get used to loving a product a new one shows up. They also don’t have a very good selection of oils, its quite limited and they aren’t the best quality. I’ve started to actually buy my oils online instead. Service wise, they’re ok, I never had a bad experience, if I need them they are there. Its convenient to get to and cheaper than whole foods.

This location is okay. The parking situation isn’t the best — the lot is small the getting in and out isn’t very easy to do with it being on the corner of two busy streets.
Items aren’t always in stock — last time I was there the section with the protein bars was really picked over. Lots of empty bins. But they do have a wide variety of items in general. You just have to hope what they want is in on that particular day.
One of the nice things about this location is the layout — the building is large and there is lots of room to walk around. It seems to be organized logically, so it’s fairly easy to find the section you are looking for.
The staff is relatively friendly and helpful if you have questions.

I’ve been to SS’s Bellevue location and their new Redmond location, and I’ve avoided the Renton store (despite it being a block from my workplace), just because, well, I’ve had a few odd experiences at the Wal-​Mart next store. I know, I know, makes no sense, but still… At any rate, I really needed to get some energy drinks for the gym the other day, so I dropped in after work, and I was stunned: this was the best SS ever!
It was large, and really well spread out. Good store circulation. Good selection of what I wanted (and nothing was out of stock, as was the case recently in both the other SS stores I go to). I then asked the guy who works there about energy products for the gym (I’m having a hard time losing these last darn 10 lbs!), and this guy was SO knowledgeable, showing me a bunch of different products, taking the time to talk about all their possible benefits and disadvantages, recommending some products for me but dissuading me from others (even if those others might cost a lot more). This guy knew his products, and he spent nearly 20 minutes explaining them all to me! He was awesome. It was not a «hard sell» and, in fact, there was no pressure for me to buy anything.

look. i don’t need to be catered to. but it’d be nice if you actually looked up and acknowledged me when i come into your store. or ask me how i’m doing later after you’ve finished what you’re working on. not asking for much.

I have been here many times and to their other locations.
Great selection and u can’t beat the prices. I usually know exactly what I’m looking for and keep to myself yet I have had strange experiences with the employees in Renton. Everything from rudeness to an overbearing girl who would not leave me alone. Thank god I haven’t seen her since but I avoid this location
because of her. Check it out if you have never been.
