I have to say this is one of the best bike shops I have visited in Texas! Located in Waco near Baylor University this bike shop is pretty well equipped for all your biking needs! I’ve been an avid cyclist for over 25 years and have gotten the itch currently to seek out the new technology and frame compositions. But there is so much out there and I also have a budget. You can literally drop 15k on a bike if you so desire but paying that kind of money for a bike when you can buy a good used car for the same amount strikes me as excessive. But that’s just me. But I do like quality. And what has intrigued me of late is the vibration free technology that you see in the newer bikes. I test drove one at another shop and I can say it does exist. So if you’re a long distance rider it’s well worth the investment. The reason I like this shop is the hip vibe of the place. The location, the selection and the customer service! I was assisted by a young man, Lance who was very knowledgeable and courteous which made for a good experience. Being out of town picking my daughter up from school I had made plans to pop in this place and really enjoyed checking out the Giant and Scott lines of bikes that they carry. Still shopping around before I bite, I was impressed with the knowledge of the sales staff and how they answered my questions. That makes a big difference especially for anyone new to cycling. If you’re ever in Waco check this place out! A very nicely appointed bike shop with knowledgeable staff!

The staff here was extremely friendly and helpful when we visited. We are on a bike tour and they were able to help us out with some minor tuning immediately. The selection of clothing and equipment is really good and the prices reasonable. They also have a great lounge area where we were able to hang out for a few hours and use their WiFi to get some work done.

I moved to Dallas from the west coast and love mountain biking. However the vibe in big«D» is well simply put, pretty Douchey. Most shops in my area have the to cool for school mentality. Pair that with their entire lack of knowledge of the fast pace world of Mountain Bike technology and its quite humorous. I was in the market for a Pivot Mach4c and after giving up on my local Pivot dealer, I called the next closest one which was Bicycle World in Waco. Waco, you have no idea how flippin cool this bike shop is. So unique and so much to offer. I did not have high expectation for a Waco bike shop, however when I arrived I literally thought I was walking into a Washington/Oregon/Utah bike shop back home. The manager there, I think his name was Lance if I remember correctly, was insanely nice and professional. He gave me a great deal on a Mach 4c and was never rude or pushy about it. Told me his absolute best price and did everything possible to make the situation right for me and not him. I cant say enough how great he was. The mechanic setting up my bike was very knowledgeable and taught me some great info on how to service my own personal Mavic hubs that I didn’t even purchase from him. I just mentioned I had some fears about opening up the hub and he explained how simple the process was. While I was setting up the bike and handling the payment there was female worker there who entertained my son so I could focus on the transaction. These guys are the epitome of what all bike shops should be like. Amazing service and an amazing selection on gear and bikes. I will definitely check in with these guys for my next bike purchase, if I’m still in the Dallas area.

This is an absolute outrage. I walked in there asking for coffee before my bike ride because I recently learned to bike without hands and this is what transpired: the man working behind the counter laughed into my face and said he could ride without hands too but he could also ride without feet and without a butt. as he continued to mock me and laugh in my face, he pooped into my coffee mug and inserted the poop into the espresso machine, proceeding to make a poop espresso. he continued to brag about the speed of the espresso — «20 seconds» he said many a times. with horror, i accepted my defiled coffee mug. he then headed toward the cash register to complete the transaction from hell. «this is(fill in the blank some outrageously high number) dollars.» he said. i handed him my coupon for outdoor world which was for a free coffee. «HAHAHAHAHAHA» he said for the next 15 minutes. he wouldn’t stop laughing. he called his coworker over and they laughed. he called his mom and they laughed. he dug up his dead dog and they laughed. everyone was laughing. «you fool» he said. «this is a coupon for coffee and what you got was a poop espresso! this doesn’t pay for a poop espresso» and as they continued to laugh, I ran out of the store, tripping over hundreds of misplaced bicycles on the front porch as I ran and proceeded to jump off a bridge into insignificancy.

When you advertise that you sell bubble tea, being one of very few places in Waco that sells bubble tea, you should really have bubbles made. Literally never coming here again. $ 4.50 for a «large«drink without bubbles is not my idea of good quality food service. if I wasn’t in such a rush, I would’ve asked for a refund. Thanks for the milk though!

Bicycle World is amazing. The employees really know what they’re doing and are always helpful and friendly. I love that they offer two free tune ups a year and I’ve never had a problem getting prompt service.

Enjoyed visiting this new store which used to be Outdoor World, a Waco original that appears to have been bought by the Houston chain Bicycle World. Very odd as a town I spend a lot of time in(College Station, Texas) had an original outdoors store called Overlanders which was bought by the now Waco Chain Bear Mountain. Anyway, we enjoy finding a new coffee shop called B W Brew. The store itself has as you might expect a huge selection of bikes. We took note of the shoe selection with a great range of brands. When visited only to look around, I ended up meeting a helpful person Joseph in the Service dept. Noticed that they had a giant selection of meal replacements and not only did he know a lot about them, I picked up about $ 30 worth and have been very happy with them. I just went with his suggestions as he obviously knew way more than I. Fantastic service. The very fact that Joseph talked me into a $ 30 purchase that I never planned and from what I have experienced, told me the honest truth about what was best to buy, I would have no reservations about coming here again just for nutritonal products. In fact I now want to go here again.

I used to love this place. It was warm and friendly, and had a lot of good people in it. Ever since it switched to Bicycle World, the salespeople have become slimy and pushy. I just recently purchased a bike from here, a used one that was an older model. It was marked down significantly, I had a gift card and I had come in several times to look at it. When I looked at it, the salesperson kept hitting on the high points — that the tires had just been replaced, that it came with free maintenance, that it was barely used, that I would get a free fitting, and that they would fix a few things that were wrong with it and that they would polish it up and make it look nice(it had dirt on it from being a demo). I came in several times and had the same comments repeated, so I was more and more excited about the prospect. He told me to call up before I decided to purchase the bike so he could«freshen it up and do some work on it». I called in the next day a few hours before I was going to stop by and they were excited that I was gonna make the purchase. I came in a few hours later and the bike looked exactly the same. And then the truth came out. They decided not to clean it nor even wipe it down, because«I would get it dirty anyway». None of the broken parts were fixed like promised. And actually, one of the tires wasn’t new, one still the original tire but the other was«newer». Plus, the receipt I received was not itemized, so I couldn’t see where my hundred dollar gift card was applied, if it was applied at all. He reassured me it was, but even still I’m not confident it was. There wasn’t a free fitting, but they could adjust the seat and brakes for me. I have used the free maintenance, and they replaced one of the original broken parts, although they blamed the broken part on me, acting like they were doing me a huge favor. Shame on me, I should have known that they employ wannabe car salesmen, and that I lost my leverage when I called them up to buy the bike. A good bike shop takes care of their customers because they know their customers will be back time and time again to use them for bike parts and maintenance. I know now that they are out there for the big sales, and not for repeat customers. A month later: the bike is still having problems. Took it in again after buying and fitting new grips(which I think were something they were going to throwing for free at the beginning) and they said they would have given us new grips. I suppose the few hours I gave them were just not enough time to install new grips and now the offer is out the window.
