My girlfriend and I tried this place and we absolutely loved it! Waco doesn’t have a great selection in «exotic» foods, so finding a really great greek place in Waco was a huge surprise and also a real blessing. The food is really stellar especially for how cheap it is, their tzatziki sauce is really incredible and compliemented my lamb gyro perfecty. At first I was really disappointed that the only attribute i could describe their fries with is crispy, but then I added their house seasoning to the fries and it completely changed my mine. I will absolutely be returning and I will definitely be recommending.

It was nearly impossible for me to find any Mediterranean food in the city of Waco. Until now. Xristos offers an extensive menu of flavor amongst it’s items. I have only gotten the lamb and beef gyro. Because it is just consistently that good. The tzatziki sauce on the gyro is the perfect ratio of yogurt to spice. Parsley to accent the flavor of the meat. And the portion is generous. I am usually skeptical of food trucks. But this place has been changing that view point time and time again. If you want anything Mediterranean. Without having to drive to Austin or Dallas. Then come here!

This place SEEMS awesome, but I have had not one but two occasions that I go, order and they have had my ticket lost. The first time I sat for about 20 minutes until the 6 people behind me got their food, and they were not extremely busy either. I ended up not even getting to eat that day for lunch because of this basic mistake. Will be back to change this review as soon as I am given food when I go up there.

Fantastic. We had the Poseidon shrimp gyro without the pita, veggie gyro, and beef-lamb pita. All were outstanding. Excellent balance of flavors. We’ll be back.

Visiting from Los Angeles, I had heard the food here was good. The lamb chops, at $ 4 each, were very reasonable as they are thick and stunningly delicious! They people who work there are so nice and pleasant and genuinely want to please you. Don’t miss this place if you want a great meal!

Was wanting something healthy with a lot of fresh veggies. They were out of chicken & salad. I settled for a gyro with humus, lamb, and beef. It was ok and pretty filling. I may have gotten something I liked better if I could make out the menu-small written on a chalk board-all run together. I got so tired of trying to read it. I asked for a take-out menu(something I could read) and they didn’t have any. I’m all about saving paper and all, but at least they could have a website, like a lot of places, so you know what you want when you get there. Was expensive as well. Wasn’t impressed.

Bazinga! This place is rock star quality food. Took the suggestion of the young lady at the window and she said her favorite was the Xristos gyro. It was chicken, hummus, sriracha and feta on their soft bread. All I can say is wow! I am going back tomorrow to eat it again. Also had dessert and it was just as good.

Yum! Passing thru Waco and wanted something that wasn’t a fast food place and just happened upon this little food truck park. I had the beef/lamb traditional gyro and it was so good! Meat was so tender and the tsaziki sauce was great all on a fresh pita! Also had the hummus and pita chips, excellent! My hubby had their fries seasoned with their secret spice mix and it was amazing! We both give this place 2 thumbs up!

This place is great! My husband and I went and both if us ordered the gyro sandwich with fries. The gyro meat was tender and tasty and the fries were cooked to perfection. The trimmings on the gyro were fresh and the tiziki sauce was crisp and fresh tasting. The service is excellent. The owner even came around to the tables to say hello and see if we needed anything. Being from the DFW area with its variety of delicious ethnic food I am saddened by the lack of great tasting ethnic food in Waco. Needless to say my husband and I are so happy to find a wonderful Greek place even if it’s «fast food» style. We will definitely be going back!

The best, very best Greek restaurant in town. Love the folks who run it, good people. I’m here a couple times a month!

I have been to Xristo’s many times and always walk away happy. My go to is the lamb and beef gyro with feta fries. As everyone else on Unilocal has said, they are delicious. The ingredients are fresh and flavorful and everything is prepared perfectly. I also recommend the spanikopita(a spinach and feta pie in filo dough) which was light and tasty. The sautéed kale is also great with lots of fresh garlic and a squeeze of lemon. The sweet tea is AMAZING, and living in Texas that is really saying something. It always tastes fresh brewed and(I suspect) sweetened with honey. The best compliment I can pay is that the staff is always great. We have another Mediterranean restaurant in Waco, but they have never come close to the service at Xristo’s. I enjoy supporting a local business that welcomes me as a customer and will return to Xristo’s again and again.

A road trip is more than just getting from Point A to Point B. It’s the discoveries along the way that make the journey enjoyable. Definitely a tasty spot in Waco while on a recent trip from Dallas to Austin. Light, fluffy and full of flavor, their pita bread is the best!

Wow! This was an awesome find! Being new to Waco, you really hope to land a few good eateries when you scope out the area. The Xristo’s Café was amazing. Their selection was perfect and suggestions were nice. They had already sold out of what I wanted, so I ended up going with the Falafel Gyro — glad I did; it was delicious! The fries have an amazing seasoning, so no ketchup needed. Their baclava was reeeeeally good — hint of cinnamon and sugar; never had anything like it. I highly recommend checking this place out! I know I’ll be back to try the Lamb Gyro.

Pretty good falafel at an awesome little food truck area. I got a side of the feta fries and pita w/hummus. The best part of the meal was the seasoned pita that came with the hummus. It was absolutely insane. I could e eaten a meal of just that!

I have to admit, I had my doubts about going to a food truck down by the river, but Xristo’s delivered a chicken gyro worthy of Zeus himself! The chicken was flavorful and expertly grilled, the pita was warm and fluffy, and the sauce provided just the right balance between the chicken and the onions. The staff were super friendly and welcoming, too. I’ll definitely be back!

Decent food at a decent price. Definitely not the best Greek food, or even the best Greek in Waco, but it’s nice to have a food truck doing something like this along the river.

The chicken gyro was really good in the cold, rainy weather! The pita was soft and warm, and the chicken was very tender and juicy. I’m used to a lot of Greek joints having dry meat so this was definitely a treat! Kind of pricey at $ 7, but that’s food truck prices for ya.
