I chose to stay at The Union because a) it LOOKED nice from the outside and b) It LOOKED safe because theres a gate, and optional covered parking(additional $ 35/mo). Don’t let the general manager fool you. My car was recently broken into while I was parked in the covered garage in the middle of me packing. Whoever did it, stole practically all of my valuables. I spoke to the leasing office about it and all they could say was«sorry» lol. Not to mention there are no cameras on property, so anyone could get away with breaking into your car and never get caught. Overall poor experience with the Union. Entirely too overpriced. When it rains, the apartment leaks. The amenities are such bs lol. save your time and money. this place sucks

The apartments are upscale and the staff is very kind and responds quickly to all requests. The biggest downside to these apartments are the size. You pay entirely too much for the apartments to be so small. Ignore the pool advertisement its a 2 ft deep triangle literally. But overall it’s a nice place.

This place switched management right after I moved in. They said they would roommate match me, but they did not respect any of the simple qualifications I asked for, such as wanting my roommate to also be a student. I had SO many issues with my apartment such as a clogged shower, leaky fridge, and my electric bill being 3x what it should be, and management does not solve the problems. They like to put band-aids on broken bones and they like to brush things under the rug. The gate to get in never works and the covered parking is outrageously priced. The pool always looks gross. What isn’t wrong with this place? They switched to electronic keys and when their system malfunctioned, I was locked out multiple times and they took a week of hassle before I finally had a working key. Also, they keep raising rent. Find another place in Waco!

Awful — Thin walls so everything can be heard — both in your apartment and from outside. They say it is furnished which it is but it is the cheapest furniture, everything is either falling apart or broken and dirty to the point of not being able to clean it. Filthy stairways and hallways. THEAPARTMENTSDONOTLOOKLIKETHEPICTURESONTHEWEB. This is one of the worst places I have ever lived and I would not recommend moving in to anyone. On top of how terrible the living situations are — absolutely do not let them match you up with roommates — they do not take it seriously and the roommates i was matched up with were the most vile disgusting people who did not clean or do dishes ever. You’d be better off living under the freeway.

DONOTLIVEHERE I REPEAT. First of all last winter when it was below freezing I didn’t have heat for a week and a half and they left my room a mess where I had no where to sleep I had to go home for the weekend and slept at a friends house. They ripped holes in my closet and then every where in the apartment. They said they would get a maid to clean it that never did. They didn’t offer me a place to stay or a portable heater. I went out and got a portable heater on my own. On top of that they don’t tell you when you have moved to a different room number until you go down a couple days before you have to move your self. they aren’t organized when they say when I could move out of my apartment first they said I had to leave the first of august then they said the fourth because they had to clean my apt still and then they changed it on the first and told me I had to be out by then when my parents couldn’t help me since I told them the fourth. Then during move out they charge for everything they told me that I wouldn’t have to take the stuff that wasn’t mine in my apt i SPECIFICALLY asked them and they said its ok and I was charged for everything when my previous roommates lived there two years longer then I had. Then over the summer I left for over a month and maintenance came and fixed my toilet(which took them forever to fix and was still leaking when I moved to a different room) and my air vents he forgot to turn it off and I got charged for electricity when I wasn’t even in TOWN. this place has so many problems and management is so unorganized and terrible and it seems like its only getting worse. I for sure will not sign with them next year and I advise EVERYBODY not to live here. Move any where BUT here.

I’ve lived here for two years and for what I needed, it worked out to be a pretty nice place. Close to school? Check. Felt secure 24⁄7? Check. The place is right next to a small park which was handy since I had a dog and maintenance was always on the ball if I ever had an issue. The rent was definitely exorbitant, but it seems like any other place nearby campus that was a furnished single bedroom apartment never came cheap.
