Best burgers & fries in Texas! Small & may not look like much on the outside but there is a reason this place is still around. Give it a try!

Visiting Waco, first time and happened upon this place. It was packed and we were hungry so we tried it out. The burgers were huge and delicious, onion rings and fries, homemade! People, all were very, very friendly and we would definitely come again and highly recommend it to anybody wanting a delicious, juicy burger and homemade fries and the best onion rings! Very reasonably priced, plus they serve breakfast and lunch specials… Yum…

This was a nice surprise! We pass this all the time when visiting my son at Baylor. It’s a hole in the wall that I would not have tried had my husband not been so persistent. The service was terrific!!! The burgers didn’t look as good as I had expected — but one bite in, and I was sold!!! These burgers are the best! They had good fries and amazing onion rings!!! I think the King family has stumbled upon a new«Baylor» tradition:) Sic’em Bears!

Delicious burgers and wonderful staff — this is what makes small towns awesome. Only room for about 20 people, but the burgers are legit. I also got an Arnold Palmer and the«sonic» ice and styrofoam cup makes it perfect. Best Burger in Waco for sure.

The best burgers I’ve had in a long time. So if you traveling through Waco Tx, stop by and pick up a Double double w/bacon & cheese.

They had a a steady stream of customers, but I’m not sure why. Sheer habit? Anyway, the fries had a good fresh cut taste and the chiliburger was fine. The onion rings were the worst i have ever had. Absolutely no flavor in the batter which was too thick and chewy. For the East Dallas folks out there visiting Waco, this is no Dairyette.

It’s easy to forget about Cupp’s but when I get the urge to eat a really good sloppy burger nothing is better than one of their burger baskets. Love the atmosphere and the service.

Fresh, hand-cut fries, OHYEAH. Local greasy hamburger joint with hometown flavor. Love Sherry and Freddie!

This place is very simple and very good. They grind their beef themselves and cut their fries fresh that morning. Simple prices as well. My only complaint is that they are not open enough!

Came here on Baylor game day. Visteks down the street was packed so we ended up here. Burgers were good nothing to complain about. But also nothing to blow you away. The size and feel of the place is great. Only about 4 tables and some bar too seating. Family owned business for decades.

I’ve heard about Cupp’s for a while and randomly had the chance to try it today! It’s really packed inside, so it does have that cozy, diner feel. I got the bacon cheeseburger. Lots of bacon, which is a plus! The burger itself was okay — I don’t understand the«hype». The fries were soggy and too brown for me. Overpriced, too.

Best burger in Waco… That being said, if you want a nice sit down restaurant this isn’t fancy. At about four bucks for a burger, it fills me up. They cook it on a flat top right in front of you. Not much space but it’s cozy. Great food, great service. You can’t go wrong here.

Good homestyle burgers. Kind of pricy for what you get, but I hear their breakfast is better.

It may be called a drive-in, but Cupp’s doubles as a diner in the traditional style, complete with traditional breakfast, bar-stool seating overlooking the griddle, and a few booths on the perimeter. It has a simple one-page menu that’s appropriate to the size of the operation. The burger comes with a thin, crispy griddle-cooked patty and a greasy griddle-toasted bun. It’s pliable but has a nice crunch. For what it’s worth I liked the fries better than the onion rings, mostly because I like the breading on the latter when it’s flakier and peppered.

Good greasy spoon. Very greasy. It’s a bit of an older crowd/mostly regulars, but the staff is quite friendly. It’s small and kind of easy to miss. Though ‘Drive Inn’ is in the title, that apparently just means that you can park there, as you have to go inside.

Cupp’s is the place to go in Waco for great, greasy spoon food. Their burgers are awesome, their french fries are delicious and their breakfasts make a great start to your day! My favorite burger is the chili cheeseburger. The chili doesn’t overwhelm the burger, but, be warned, it can be messy to eat. Their breakfasts are just like I would make at home, but so much better because I didn’t have to make it! They can be packed pretty much any time of day as the place is really small, but if you call in your To Go order or even place a To Go order when you walk in, they’re pretty quick in getting it ready for you.

If you are looking for an amazing diner type greasy burger and incredible fries, look no further! My husband and I happened to be passing through Waco and found this little(and little is the appropriate word) place. It has 4 booths and a diner bar to sit but if its a beautiful day there is seating outside. We wanted grease so the burgers were perfect! All patties are pretty thin and made well done. I’m partial to medium rare meat but it didn’t even matter because the flavor was incredible. It appeared that the fries were made from fresh potatoes(not store bought frozen). We didn’t ask so not sure if that is the case but it doesn’t matter to us because they tasted fresh!

My dad and I often ran errands when I was younger, after he picked me up from school. Sometimes they were fun, but sometimes I was exhausted and just wanted to go directly home. The first day he brought me to Cupp’s was one of the latter. I remember being so tired(You know, those long days in elementary school…) and hungry when Dad pulled into a parking spot on the street. I wasn’t sure where we were nor what we were doing. When I asked my dad what we were doing, all he would tell me was«We’re going to Cupp’s.» A teeny tiny old building on a pretty ordinary street hid some of the most delicious food in Waco. They make their burgers thin and crispy, the way they ought to be. Their fries were hot and delicious. Cupp’s became a place that I immediately associated with my dad, and the special occasions that happened on very ordinary days. The next time I’m in Waco, this will most definitely be at the top of my list.

We had fun late lunch here one afternoon, my daughter was learning to drive with her permit drove to this place. We ordered burger and fries, we had fun looking at old pictures. It’s fun atmosphere to eat in. My daughter overheard two senior citizen ladies talking to one of employees, one of them apparently used to work there as waitress in her heydays. She said it was fun listening to their conversation. I definitely will come back in cooler weather to try their chili. The burgers were good!

Their burgers are so good! Probably some of the best for a local Waco burger place!
