This whataburger has the slowest drive thru service I’ve ever experienced. They get my order right maybe 1 out of every 4 times i go.

Wife and I ate here about 5 years ago, we pass by it several times a year, but have not been back since. Looks like nothing has changed here. No need to say more all these reviews have said it for me. PLEASE people, although it is an embassasment this location does not reflect all Whataburger locations, there are MANY great ones out there.

Usually, I’m pleased with the service here. My daughter and I came here and it was like the drive person wasn’t even listening to us. Ok, so we made it through that to wait a long time in the line. The drive through guy just throws us our food. No thank you or anything and closes the window. I had to honk my horn several times to get their attention to ask for condiments. After we leave, I see an employee flagging us down because they left food out of our order. This is the reason for 2 stars instead of one.

I know fast food isn’t gourmet, but it should be, ya know, fast. When I got there and took my order, there were 3 cars in front of me. I sat there in line for 20 minutes. If I hadn’t already ordered, I would have left. And in hindsight, I should have. When I bit into my burger, not only was it not hot, it wasn’t even warm. The bun was stale, and the meat was burnt and chewy. The cheese not even melted. Never this location again.

June update — Edit…I see the owner is tearing the building down to rebuild a new store to be competitive with the burger competition in the zone. Waste of money… the building will not sell food, quality staff with a good work ethic does. Look next door at Chic FilA and McDs. One is banking several thousands a day with a great team… the other is passing out dollar items as bums skulk out in the drive thru and people who can’t get an order correct are trying to figure out how to use the POS machine. Crappy place. I usually love a Whataburger so I stopped at this location. Bad move on my part. Place is poorly managed for sure. Frozen burger patty was pinkish but I could not get a french fry response so I ate a few bites and tossed it. The Manager, a «Little Richard» lookalike must have been in back grooming while the four counter people stood around and chatted about weekend plans. My fries were about ½ filled so I asked the ketchup passer person for more. She said, she would check on it. She never came back. Co-workers and her were too busy talking about other more important matters such as his and her social lives. Franchise name and location brings them in and pays the bills. No brand name or across from a large university… this ship would sink on quality alone! Try another location… this one sux! Btw… did wash my hands, probably did more hard than good since the guy’s RR was filthy.

Where shall I start? Okay, the good first. Two girls at the counter helped my family and I J and RA. They are rock stars. They were taking so much crap from other customers that it was ridiculous. In their position, I’d have started throwing food and cussing the customers out. They are where the good ends. Now the bad. The restrooms were two tiny little stalls that opened directly into the dining room. Gross. My daughter never got her drink cup. It was a kids meal… with beverage. The ice machine was broken. A young man was dumping ice by the bucketful so that the customers could have cold drinks. Did I mention that the dining room was only 62 degrees? We were FREEZING!!! Other people complained to the manager(more on her later) and she just looked at them like they were crazy, and said«well I don’t feel chilly». HELLO! You’re in the kitchen. Duh! Lots of people came and went with their food while we were waiting. FOR25MINUTES. After nearly 30 minutes with no food, I went to the counter to get a refund. The girls at the counter apologized profusely while attempting to get me my money back. Mid transaction, a voice from the back barks for«J» to get her a$$ back into the kitchen. It was the manager(a dark haired woman, maybe 40 years old), who then proceeded to SCREAM and curse«J» out because she was refunding my money. Poor J came out of the back nearly in tears because of this. Apologizing yet again, she handed my cash back to me. I told her that she shouldn’t apologize because she’s working under poor management. It was a wonder that the girl didn’t burst into tears, I felt so bad for her. I have the owners number, after he/she gets my call, hopefully this store will be ran right. Meanwhile, my family and I fled to the chicken place next door, where we were inside less than 5 minutes before getting our food.

Ridiculous wait time… I understand it is basically on Baylors campus but at 10am or 3am or 3pm or any time, the wait time in the drive thru or going inside is just way too long. They also gave me sausage instead of bacon on my breakfast on a bun. Again, I understand it’s on Baylor campus, but they need to hire more staff, or improve efficiency somehow.

Horrible service. My son played football at the stadium across the street. Stopped here for a quick bite. They were busy, understandable, but after 40 minutes of no food and people behind us receiving their order I went to the counter to check on my order. The manager proceeded to tell me they had«lost» our ticket. Then the once they brought our order, we were missing two burgers. Then as I went to the counter to ask for them the manager followed me back to the table to count each burger as if she thought I was lying about the missing items. Never stopping here again

All I wanted was a chicken taco, my husband gave up health camp so I could have a chicken taco… We ordered at 6:32.28pm. My son took a seat at the table and started blowing away the flies that were swarming. My husband joined as he had just visited the restroom… The bathroom was filthy, hair on the sink, piss on the toilet seat, poo smeared on back of the tank… Just a one seater that opens right into the restaurant. That is a health violation, no? We should have turned around then, cause if employees had to wash their hands there I’m pretty sure we’re going home with e-coli. Move on to 6:54pm no food, no sign of food and the heard of people at the counter was growing. The security guard(Yano, cause the whataburger needs protection from bikers in Waco) shook his head and said«you better get up there is you wanna eat anytime soon.» I get up and add myself into the mass of people demanding a manager. The manager comes forward and hears the story of two people ahead of me and asks for the receipt of one woman whose order was no longer in the cue. She said she threw it away and he looked at her dismissively. This lady had the balls to dig through the trash can for her receipt she had tossed there an HOUR earlier. She produced her receipt and demanded her money back. The manager said nothing and went to re-make her order. 7:12pm I finally get three bags of food which I know is not my order because I only had one sandwich and one fry the bags thrust at me had two sandwiches and two fries and a greasy lump of a taco. The taco was not as ordered and had a bunch or weird stuff on it. I got my taco re-made as you recall that’s what I was there for. 7:23 there were still people waiting for food ordered 45 – 60 minutes prior.

This was a good freeway stop on Hwy 35, clean bathroom and clean restaurant. They were pretty fast and professional considering how slammed they were. Makes for a good rest stop on a long road trip. Employees were friendly and helpful. Well managed store. Whataburger burgers themselves are a step above McDonalds, but never rise above average. When in a desperate pinch on a hot road trip, Whataburger will suffice for a quick cheap burger and a soda.

The burger itself. Eh. Not from here, so everyone’s like eat whataburger! But it just looks like a whopper from Burger King but not as good. The service was terrible. It’s fast food, I don’t usually expect too much. But I walked in and everyone in there sitting already had their food. It took them 4 minutes before they even acknowledged me and took my order. Soon after like 8 people came in and they all got their food before me! I was like uhm… Why? And they just said they’re in the back making it now. But I ordered first! A simple burger! And to make it worse I was owed $ 13.46, she only gave me 13 and I owe you .46. She never gave me my change. I even asked and she’s like yes I owe you .46. It took me another 5 minutes before I even got my food and I just ran out the door annoyed. You can keep my .46 … Maybe someone in there needs it more. It’s not about the change. Who cares about .46 but the whole experience was terrible. And the food didn’t even make up for the epic fail in there. I lied, the fries are pretty decent. For that it gets a 1.5 star.

Older Whataburger location just off the highway in Waco. People complained this location is old and dirty, but that is far from the truth. Just because the building is old doesnt mean it should be viewed badly. Grab a burger and a shake. Who cares how old the building is as long as it is clean and the food is good.

What-a-burger is an awesome place, but this one is absolutely terrible. The only thing that is consistent is they are going to mess up your order at least twice before they get it right. Give you horrible service, and not have any general cleanliness. Highly recommend finding a different one to go to.

Worst experience I’ve ever had… EVER!!! Waited 45 min after we placed our order. It’s whataburger between 10:15 — 11:00 on a wed night. «Please pull up and we’ll have it right out.» We waited another 20 min when we finally went and banged on their door until they gave us the wrong order. We gave it back and waited another twenty min only to get the same exact wrong order. The manager hid in the back and only came forward to unlock a register to give us our money back. Oh wait, the wrong change! You can keep it whataburger. The most incompetent people I’ve ever dealt with, and I’ve been in the service industry for years. Wendy’s was actually one of my first jobs. I understand how things work. Awful awful experience. Do no waste your time!!!

I’m giving this place three stars because it is a Whataburger, but it deserves far less. This location is dirty, the service is bad, and the food is iffy for a Whataburger. I don’t recommend stopping here.

Friday night, 10pm. My husband and I were passing thru. A few people in the dining area, no one at the counter. Many, many workers there. Friendly guy takes our order. We sit down to wait for our food. 7 – 8 minutes later a group of about 5 of the workers friends come in. Everyone comes from the back to hug/greet them, etc… They are then all given a large bag of food, they have not even ordered. They all sit down and start eating and some of them order more food. After about 5 more minutes I go to check our order that is still not out. A girl tells me it will be a minute, not even asking my order #. I sit back down and wait. 3 minutes pass, people are getting orders that ordered way after us. I go back up to the counter, get in line behind a long forming line. I get up to the counter to who looks like a manager, he looks at me and walks away without saying a word. I stand there patiently, finally make eye contact with him and he asks me «what?» I have my receipt and state the time on it(10:04). I tell him the current time is 10:25. He walks to the back, asking where our order is. Some other guy starts chatting me up, ignoring my now ready order. Wrong order, cold fries.whatever. We ate our crap food our and left.
