Pangea Café… located in a small little town outside Minneapolis defines what’s great fine and great dine can exist anywhere. I had the pork pulled sandwich and the Buffalo Wing Ziti. Fresh food and fresh fruit.

Good breakfast and lunch, the place is always buzzing, and my only criticism is that sometimes the service is slow. The food is very solid though, the menu is well rounded and I would say the breakfast menu is stronger than the lunch menu. That said, I’ve never had anything there I didn’t enjoy.

Fantastic food & Fantastic service! Visiting for wedding and bride took us all to lunch here. They serve breakfast all day which automatically makes them awesome! I chose lunch though & had Rueben; slow roasted for 7 hours & hand pulled, it was amazing! I went back next day and had the biscuits & gravy; the gravy has pancetta mixed in with the standard sausage gravy, again, absolutely amazing and prices are VERY reasonable!

This is our favorite local brunch joint and definitely one of the best — if not THE best food — in Waconia. Service is simple, friendly and reliable. Great hash browns, mimosas and coffee. And honestly the turkey eggs bennie will change your life. YUM! Tons of gluten free options for those watching the carbs. The only thing that would make Pangea better is an espresso machine and coconut or almond milk creamer…

While visiting my sis and family recently we enjoyed a delicious breakfast here one Sunday morning. Everything we ordered was tasty and the service was(almost) impeccable. We ran into some difficulty with a young waitress who(politely, but still…) argued with us about whether the toast we were served was the sourdough we ordered or light-rye we received.

Great for breakfast! Had the biscuit and gravy skillet and it was awesome! My child had the two pigs in a blanket with fruit and he loved it. Coffee is great as well! Service is great, even if you sit upstairs. Best breakfast for sure!!!

This place is an absolute gem. Here it is, just 20 minutes west of the Twin Cities, yet it feels like one of those wonderful breakfast places you would find in northern Minnesota– maybe Ely or Grand Marais. I started with a Bloody Mary(of course it comes with a beer chaser). For breakfast, I had pancakes, hash browns and bacon. The food was absolutely outstanding. The hash browns were fantastic — thinly shredded and browned to perfection. The bacon was crispy, and the pancakes were large, hearty, and wonderful. I couldn’t finish my breakfast, and all for $ 9! It is definitely worth the trip out to downtown Waconia. I will be back again, and again, and again…

I was hesitant to come here due to the reviews. I ordered banana foster waffles, but ended up with with banana foster french toast. I oredered it with the chunky cinnamon bread(from our local grocery store). It was soooo yummy. The coffee was smooth & strong. My husband had the crab eggs benedict. My 2nd trip was for waconia’s D.E.A.R. day. I ordered the cheese sampler. Once again i was very happy. We didn’t wait long either time. If the food is delicious than it’s worth waiting for. The service was great.

Sooo good! Turkey, roasted tomato, avacado Eggs Benedict was literally one of the best breakfasts I’ve ever had. And their hashbrowns are amazing!!! Homemade caramel rolls and super cute ambiance. Will definitely be back!

Had the«kitchen sink» omelette, and unfortunately it was only mediocre. It just lacked flavor. On top of that, our l waitress disappeared half way through our meal. When another waitress realized we had empty drinks and no one waiting on us, she began waiting on us. Then, suddenly, after about 30 minutes our waitress reappeared(no explanation) and handed us the bill. Needless to say, we weren’t impressed.

Arrived for breakfast on a Monday around 10 a.m. I made up of maybe 6 people that were eating there. I was greeted by a friendly face and was led to a table near a window, tucked away from the rest of the customers. I looked over a nice array of breakfast food; Build your own breakfast sandwich, eggs Benedict selections, omelets, pancakes and breakfast skillets. I ordered the salmon lox omelet that had red onion, spinach, tomatoes, capers and cheve, with a side of hash browns. The hash browns were perfect and the omelet was perfectly cooked, no browning on the eggs. It was a very large portion of food so I’m assuming that’s why the cost. I thought it was expensive for what I consider a greasy spoon. I would have liked a reason for the expense stated on the menu., I.e. farm to table, organic ingredients, large portions. The ambiance was okay. It was clean. It wasn’t a warm place that I wanted to linger. They had pleasant music playing, however it blended in with the kitchen staffs music. Waconia is in need of more restaurants downtown and this is definitely a step up from all the bar food in town. I give it 3 stars because for the type of food I ordered I shouldn’t have waited so long to get it and felt it overpriced for what it was and the ambiance was lacking.

The good: Excellent aesthetic and wonderful menu! The bad: Had to ask another server to get my server’s attention. The ugly: Server was openly rude to me for the remainder of the meal… Regrettably won’t be going again soon

Food quality quantity and flavor — FIVESTARS! Service — TWOSTARS, specifically relating to the hostess. She is in the absolute wrong role for someone so grumpy. I saw her treat most guests with a scowl, including me and my daughter. But of course, you get wowed over by your friendly waitress(blonde ponytail girl was particularly kind to her patrons) once you get seated so a badditude hostess isn’t a big deal, unless you have a to-go order. We were waiting for a to-go order at a table indoors but every new group that came on to be seated at a different open table, result in a another disgusted scowl in our direction. Once the hostess’es party friends arrived she wanted us to wait outside, in the cold, so her friends could have the table that we were seated at while waiting for our to-go order. The hostess was very friendly with them, figuring out how to retrieve cars left wherever the night before. After waiting outside for about 10 minutes, I decided to wait in the doorway which is quite narrow, but I am not going to let my daughter catch cold due to a badditude hostess and her disinterest in letting us use an available indoor table. The owner apologized for the hostess sending us outside for so long but then tried to charge me a second time for breakfast even after the hostess said she would deliver my breakfast outside. The hostess has the power to really ruin what could have been an excellent experience for more than just my family. While the food was amazing, we won’t be back due to poor service.

This was the best breakfast that we have had in Minnesota while on vacation. And we have tried many breakfast spots. We ordered a Fiesta Skillet, French toast, Blueberry pancakes, and the Two Towers Eggs Benedict. Then we had to order another blueberry pancake because it was so good. It tastes like a hot blueberry muffin. Everything was delicious and coffee was good too. We will definitely come back next year when we are back in town.

This place has a really nice breakfast and lunch menu that is a step above the ordinary. The clam chowder is homemade and truly fantastic. Especially with a drizzle or sriracha on top!

Great concept. Very comfortable setting and friendly staff. Everyone there told me how excellent the food is, and everything looked yummy. I ordered the salmon Benedict and a side of bacon. I asked that the hash browns be VERY well done, crispy, hard, whatever they call it. The service was quick. The poached eggs were perfect. The salmon a little too salty, but what can you do? However. The potatoes had one browned shred. The rest were underdone at best and slightly raw at worst. The bacon was hot, with so much grease bubbling on it that I had to ask for extra napkins to blot it. And sadly, the hollandaise was bitter — much too much lemon. All in all, I don’t want to give this place a bad review, but they really should work on fixing some of the basics.
