Great views! The food was okay. Ian the bartender, barback, host, waiter and busboy did the best he could with close to 25 people there working alone on MLK Birthday and someone was in the kitchen. There were a lot of flies there as well. I was told this place is managed by the Hale Koa. Is this right? The Hale Koa in Waikiki isn’t like this! I don’t know if the other workers called in this day, but Ian was doing his best. But if the Hale Koa manages this place; they need to make it a better priority. More people will come.

Pupu service comes complimentary with the Pupu Platter. Seriously. Worst service ever. Writing this review while beers are empty, still waiting for the mustard my girlfriend asked for but never came after she forgot our order even though it was just 1 item. The pupu platter. Great location right by the breach.

Beautiful water view, nice breeze. Servers are very nice, but service is slow. I wouldn’t have minded the slow service because I was there to relax, but my Mai tai came out with watery ice as if it had been sitting for a while after it was made. I ordered the fish and chips — same thing. Fries were not hot, lukewarm at best, and I tried to eat the bottom ones to get ones with some heat left in them. Fish was also lukewarm and soggy because it had been sitting. Four pieces of fish, I took bites off the ends of each to get a slight bit of crunch. The rest was soggy. I left most of the food on my plate. $ 25 for the plate, drink and tip. Mai Tai was weak. I’d go back because it’s right on the beach, I like the old time feel, but I’d try something else. Maybe get something that isn’t supposed to be serve hot. Oh, and there was an old guy there, a VFW guy(wearing a VFW vest) talking to his table mates loudly at his table about politics, Obama’s «fake» birth certificate, etc. LOUD. Very annoying.

A fun beach bar on the west side. pros: beach & sunset view good poke decent prices(for Hawaii) live music cons: parking is outside on street(lock your doors & hide your children) atmosphere(some could say nostalgic) is way outdated/rundown service is slow, usually only 2 people working(but they’re super nice) haven’t had a drink I’m crazy about here

Stumbled into Cisco’s Cove on a hot afternoon after swimming @ Yokohama … Looking for a pleasant place to enjoy a cool beverage… Just PERFECT. Laid back atmosphere immediately on the beach… We had the nachos… lots of them and delicious… I would give it five stars except that the day we were there, only one employee was working the bar, waiting tables and preparing the food. Everyone had called in sick. This limited drinks to beers & wine. Still the overall experience was wonderful.

The food and drinks aren’t very good BUT the view is amazing, the staff is nice and they let us watch game 7 with all our friends! I couldn’t have asked for a better space to watch the game… breezy, beautiful view with some drinks. The place wasn’t too busy and they were setting up live music when we left. I think it would be great to sit around having drinks listening to the music. The drinks were okay, but not strong(I question whether they even had alcohol in them). I’d recommend for a couple of drinks and a gorgeous view but wouldn’t recommend any of the food(although the garlic fries were decent).

This place was definitely a hidden jem, but one to check out for sure. We sat listeningto the waves and live music on a thurday’s night. All while having some good beer’s and yummy french fries. The staff was super nice and it really was a great local hang out. I loved it!

The directions state the location is on Farrington Hwy, which it is not. Turn off Farrington at Army St and proceed toward the ocean through the Army guard shack. They are open early on Sunday morning for breakfast and football. Beautiful view, friendly staff, and Sunday morning football. What more could you ask for?

Live entertainment Thursday through Sunday until 10:30pm or 11pm depending on which musician or band performs. Regular customers greet each other with a hug and kiss. Wait staff members and bartenders are very friendly. Mia the bartender knows what I drink and she gets it ready before I approach the counter. It’s an open air location next to the beach. Table seatings up to 6 people per table. Three working televisions out of four. Restroom recently upgraded. Atmosphere is awesome on live music nights especially Friday and Saturday night with Crosswinds performing. Sunday nights are the nights to enjoy contemporary Hawaiian music provided by Jeff Rasmussen and guest or a different musician. Update December 20, 2014: Hawai’iki will be playing on Sunday nights starting in January 2015 in place of Jeff Rasmussen and guest.

Minus the long drive… This place is the place to come on a Friday! Best seats in the house… right on the water… Live music… Nice staff and good food.

We had Mahi Mahi sandwich with fries, both very good and Mahi Mahi Fish Tacos, also very good. Drink service was prompt and the food service time was acceptable. This was our first visit there and we are going again tomorrow with 4 friends. the band was excellent, as good as any we have heard in Waikiki. The prices were very good, only $ 3.00 for bottled beer.

I’m giving this place 5 stars in relation to the surrounding area. Cisco’s Cove is a diamond in the rough. You can only access it through the Army Recreation Center but it is open to the public as long as you have your ID handy. We ate there 4 different times, tasting many things off the menu but mostly enjoying the spectacular view. This place is ONTHEBEACH. You have unrestricted views of the ocean and a spectacular sunset as well. It really is something for the area(which is covered in fast food joints). Here’s what I recommend from the menu: ORDER: The BBQ Pork Ribs BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwich Burger(with cheese!) Fried Mahi Mahi Sandwich Steak Salad Fried Brownie Sundae AVOID: Sunset Nachos Chicken Wings Avoid Happy Hour all together. The deals are not that great and their lunch and dinner menu is already affordable. They often have amazing drink specials, be sure to order the Guava Margarita! Addresses Bj U’s comments — yes the service is slower than average. I take that for granted in Hawaii as everything(especially the drivers) move slower here on the islands and that’s okay with me. The establishment is horribly understaffed in general which also plays into the slow food delivery. The waitstaff is very fun and friendly. ALSO: Live Music on the weekends! Superb musicians.

If you like waiting 1 hour and 7mins for an order of Nachos then you wont mind this place at all. we reminded our waitress 6 times before the nachos arrived and when it did arrive, might i add that she ran with the plate towards our table, and dropped it on our table because the plates were extremely hot… then she says«enjoy» and prances away… o_o you could have just used a rag to hold it… anyway. Bubba B was playing live tonight so it made everything bearable because he is an excellent singer and a great performer. beers werent too much of a problem, order a beer and they bring it over in a reasonable amount of time. no problem there. our ahi Poke came out before our nachos did… which is strange… let me tell u how amazing these nachos were not that i have waited a full freaking hour and 7mins… they were mediocre. nothing special… cheese on tortilla chips… with like 4 tiny slices of steak sprinkled around it. and so im pissed, livid. im about to hulk this bar up… then bubba B starts singing UB40 and i calm down again haha another thing i had was the Deep fried Brownie with Vanilla icecream on top. this was really good, i have to admit… too bad we ordered it the same time as we did. What i have mentioned in this review had nothing really to do with our waitress who tried to keep our water glasses full and beers flowing and empty bottles removed from our tables asap. but yeah… in a nut shell i just think they have their cooks quit or something on this day lol its happened to other restaurants before so i wouldnt be surprised. PS the bathroom was a mess –_–
