I don’t normally update a review so quickly, but my mind is pretty much made up on Maui Pasta Company after this experience. My spouse heard nothing but good things so naturally a take out was in order. FOOD: Shrimp Scampi — 5 pieces of shrimp were laid on top of fresh fettuccine, with a side of focaccia bread and salad. Overall, it was a very boring dish. The shrimp were cooked perfectly but seasoned very, very subtly. Because the pasta was of the fresh variety, by the time we got it home, it was all clumped together. Zapping it in the micro didn’t help much, mainly because the pasta was super dry and had no sauce coating it. I had to doctor it up, unfortunately. Threw a pan on the stove, melted a pat of butter, tossed the pasta & shrimp in garlic salt and pepper, but I didn’t have any white wine handy, and it came out way better. I’m not a fan of focaccia bread so I trashed it. Why not give garlic bread? The salad was super tiny and included just a few leaves of mixed greens in a balsamic dressing. Spaghetti Marinara — A worker here suggested this combo over the bolognese. We added the marinara meatballs for and additional $ 2.95. Talk about sugar overload! The marinara sauce was extremely sweet, a huge letdown in my book. My spouse hated it and was so disappointed. This came with the usual sides of focaccia bread and salad. On a positive note, the fresh spaghetti was thick and cooked nicely. No caking of the pasta on this one because it was well-coated with the sugary sauce. Pass. Ravioli — The only one listed on the menu is Breaded Ravioli, but we were able to get non-breaded ones with marinara sauce. The doughy and slightly undercooked raviolis were filled with cheese and came with the same super sweet marinara sauce, however, the cheese aided in cutting down on the sweetness. Had the raviolis been cooked a little longer, this dish would’ve been total winners. OVERALL: Fresh and totally customizable pastas, super sweet marinara sauce(if you’re into that,) good carbonara. I’m not in a rush to go back. Overall 3 stars.

I had Rigatoni with Marinara Sauce and my husband Rigatoni with Short Rib Ragu and Meatballs. It was so yummy. Taste like real italian food. Good portions for good prices. Friendly staff. We love this place! When you want to eat Pasta in Maui, this is the place to go.

Real authentic locally made pasta, sauces, and baked goods. I have often gotten lunch at the truck, but this is my first time at the waikapu store. The service is being excellent! I needed Alfredo and pesto, but they had just ran out of pesto. So they stopped what they were doing and made it on the spot for me! While I say and enjoyed my lunch, they made fresh pesto, and gave me a thing of garlic bread! I will be stopping in here for my sauces more often. Better prices and quality then the grocery stores, and better value as well.

This is my first visit here(ordered the ravioli with tomato cream sauce). Husband normally purchases fresh pasta, sauce and dip bring them home and prepares them there — so this is different. Showed up with 30 minutes of closing, so no fresh ravioli to take home — bummed, but as expected if I walk in that late. I read a few of the reviews and I’d have to say that given the circumstances — this place is succeeding against the odds. I personally had great customer service — however have heard that some of the community volunteers may have been a little lacking, being in customer service myself, that may put me off a bit to experience, but to have someone come fill in for you regardless of product knowledge has some serious merit in the value of the business and I commend that. Given that we live upcountry and are a customer of theirs says quite a bit. As far as take home fresh pasta — I have not found any other on this island that I would rank with theirs. As I write this, I still haven’t opened my container to eat the food I ordered and I admit that it smells delicious, but in all fairness, the husband is driving and how mean to eat mine and not have him eating his — hahaha! …now to the food at hand — four cheese ravioli with tomato cream sauce for me — delicious, great consistency with the filling and the pasta cooked perfectly, this is one of my favorite sauces of theirs. Husband got the same ravioli with the marinara. No complaints heard there, no sharing either. I will be back for sure for items to cook at home and for take out meals as well.

Just being honest, my husband and I came here because we heard so many great thing about their food. I don’t know if it was just today or because the owner wasn’t there and isn’t supervising what’s going on. I ordered the rigatoni with tomato cream sauce and baked parmesan chicken on top. The pasta was okay not the best that I ever had but the worst, I don’t think I’ll be coming back anytime soon. To top it off their service was the worst that I’ve had anywhere, the cashier didn’t know anything on the menu and even asked my husband to look at how much it cost for the item we were ordering. We arrived their around 1530(03:30pm) and they close at 1700(05:00pm) they had run out of majority of the items we wanted to order, we order some mozzarella sticks and one of the cooks came out to the front and said that we can’t order it because they don’t have it. Being that I’m in customer service I would think that they would be apologetic towards their customers but they gave an excuse that they’re no normally open on Saturdays and they’re just«trying it out». I don’t normally write reviews, but I couldn’t be silent about this experience. I was so disappointed in the service from the beginning that when I finally got my food, I didn’t have much of an appetite anymore.

I had been wanting to try this place since they’ve opened but never made it until today. I LOVE Pizza and Pasta so i knew i would have no trouble ordering. I am also a huge supporter of LOCAL businesses so my son and i decided to check it out. When i first looked at the menu i thought it was super cool that you could build your own pasta! Choose your noodle, sauce and toppings(AWESOME). We ordered the spaghetti with bolognese, very tasty and delicious! Fettuccine Alfredo with Chicken, very creamy and my favorite, not to mention the nice piece of focaccia bread that it comes with! YUUUUM! i had also gotten a slice of their Pizetta, it was a fresh special that the chef had made. Last, we got the Shrimp Scampi, this was my least favorite but my oldest son ate the whole plate so obviously he loved it! We will definitely be back very soon, i want to try more combinations and i HAVE to try their version of Tiramisu, wish i got it today.

Really not sure why I haven’t reviewed Maui Pasta yet. This is our once a week go-to take out dinner place. I can’t say enough about how delicious and fresh everything is! Literally everything is made from scratch — pasta, sauces, bread, salad dressing. And for the price, around $ 10/pop you just CAN’T get the same quality anywhere else! I’ve tried just about everything on their menu — spaghetti, scampi, chicken parm, fettuccine, sandwiches, desserts, breads, dips. Nothing that I DON’T like. I would call ahead to order, it’s usually about a 15 minute wait, but remember… EVERYTHING made to order and fresh. When you call DON’T forget to ask about their specials! Today I had a short rib parpadelle and it was so tasty! Once I had a brown butter sage gnocchi. All so yummy. They also have the family dinners with bread, pasta and salad for $ 25. Haven’t done that but we are keeping that one in our bag of tricks for when we have company over one day. They always have stuff out for samples, and their Brussels sprouts are really good too! Great customer service… the lady who works the register and takes orders is always in a good mood, and the owners are always in the back and will hand off your food to you and make you feel so welcome. Great sense of pride and ownership. Try it, esp if you live in the wailuku/Kehalani area! Edit: they have a free garlic bread with check in and have a rewards program with that fivestars app!!!

Our go to when we don’t want to cook! The best pasta on Maui! Homemade with herbs infused into the pasta. It’s all take out and you can call ahead, so you just pick it up, take it home and, heat it up. I am in love with the Fettuccini Alfredo, the tomato cream sauce, and the pesto. They always have a daily special, and I highly recommend asking what that is. Every single thing we have tried here has been amazing. The panna cotta is a must try! Warning: it’s addictive! Oh, man. Now I’m hungry!

I just love this place! Who doesn’t like pasta?!! …and freshly made pasta at that. I have watched the menu grow over the past few months from a few, very well made pasta favorites to inventive dishes like Mac and Cheese with pork belly. Yum! Monday through Thursday the bakery is in full swing and loaves of olive oil bread are there for the taking. The owners are friendly and delightful, always there to greet me with a smile. If you are in a hurry, they have some grab-n-go pasta dishes and desserts in the cooler. The panna cotta with fruit compote is to die for! The freshly made mango biscotti goes well with my coffee in the mornings. Do you want fresh uncooked pasta to take home? They got it. I am a customer for life!

Fresh(and so soft) olive oil bread is oh so good! Artichoke Dip is also my favorite! If you get there early, try their scones! Last one I had was prosciutto with cheese and it was so good! I am never disappointed in their products!

Found this place through Unilocal. What a great hidden gem. We placed an order over the phone and went in to pick it up. The lady there was extremely friendly and helpful. She offered us samples of their dips and showed us all of their different products. We ordered the spaghetti and meatball and baked ziti. Excellent! Such delicious food for a great deal Tips: check in with Unilocal and get a free order of garlic bread, be careful and drive slow because you could miss it. Yummy take home goodies for later(panna cotta or biscotti amongst the treats) and they have a frequent customer program. Earn points!

Pasta. Oh sweet pasta. In case you don’t know my favorites yet, carbs pretty much rule over everything. When it comes to food, I dream in shades of breads, pastas and baked goods. Bring it. I had a lunch date with a Unilocaler friend to work on stuff. I arrived first and went in to talk story with the employees. They were so helpful and friendly and explained the menu, specials and even had samples of fresh baked bread to hand out. Winner winner. One of the cooks was there pressing out fresh pasta – it was so nice to see authentic food in action. I asked about the sesame cookies and she smiled, opened up the package of plated cookies and gave us a sample –they were so perfectly light and sweet. Perfect treat to have with tea! I ordered the fettuccine alfredo and we made our way outside to wait for lunch. Before we even got started with our work, they brought out our grub. It comes in a to-go box which is perfect for less waste and ready for bringing any leftovers with you. The food was so good! The sauce was flavorful and the perfect consistency. The salad was fresh and drizzled with the right amount of dressing and the bread… oh the bread. buttery, seasoned and toasted just right. So So good. This place is new and ready to take Maui by storm. A few things to know: It’s got limited parking so be patient if you come at a busy time. There is no indoor seating so keep it in mind if the weather is being crazy. There is only one outdoor table so you may have to grab a chair, hop on your tailgate or take it home/to the beach to enjoy. The food is awesome. I’m really excited to go back. And! They sell family sized portions. Is there anything better than grabbing a delicious ready-to-serve meal for the whole fam-bam and passing it off as if it were your own? Game on.

So far, so good for Maui Pasta Company! We stopped in to pick up one of the family meals a couple weeks ago for dinner at my Mom’s. We got the cheese ravioli– and it was delicious! The sauce(a basic red marinara sauce) was a bit sweet for everyone’s taste, but it was still good. The pasta itself was tasty– and plentiful! When we saw that the family meal served four, we had no idea that it meant four quite generous servings! It also came with salad and bread. The salad was hearty, with a variety of spicy, somewhat out-of-the-ordinary greens. The dressing was simple and fresh. The focaccia bread was nice, and again, very generous portions for the bread as well! My only suggestion would be to have an additional salad choice– possibly a Caesar salad or a more basic garden salad– instead of their current offering, which may not be to everyone’s taste. I’d happily pay a couple bucks for a salad«upgrade.» Just a thought! The lady who helped us was exceedingly friendly and the price is UNBEATABLE. Twenty-four bucks to feed four people AND have leftovers? Where else can you get a deal like that, honestly? We will definitely be returning to try more.

Stopped here for dinner after seeing an ad for the new restaurant on Facebook. Have to say I was pleasantly surprised. We ordered the spaghetti with meatballs, Bolognese lasagna and the meatball square. Everything tasted great. The sauce is very flavorful, and the fresh pasta makes it even better. The prices are very reasonable, $ 8 for a plate, and the serving size is perfect. The plate includes a piece of bread and a small green salad. You can also purchase a family size, or purchase pasta and/or sauce to make your own at home. The service is great, the people very pleasant and patient. The food was ready pretty quickly but you can also call ahead to place your order for even quicker service. So happy to have another restaurant to choose from in the Wailuku area. We will definitely be back again.
