Ice cream every night? No!!! Ok, actually yes. What were we thinking? Well, we didn’t have to think much due to the Kona heat– that made for an easy answer… Ice cream! Although Shaka Cones was on the Waikoloa property, they actually had very good and refreshing ice cream. I guess I expected something expensive and low quality. Don’t get me wrong, it wasn’t cheap, but I have to say, on a hot day, it was worth it. For one scoop it was about $ 5-$ 6. The scoops are large so that sort of makes it better. My husband got the cookie sandwich and I think that was the biggest cookie sandwich ever. It was definitely larger than the size of my hand. I would say the circumference of a regular old coffee pot. Can you imaging two cookies that size filled with ice cream in the middle? If you can’t, you should try this. You almost just drop into a sugar daze and all your worries melt away. Not a bad deal for pure bliss!

One scoop of ice cream is $ 6.20AND there were two hairs in my ice cream. I ignored the first one but the second was a bit ridiculous. The Kona Coffee flavor was washed out and not great. This place is horrible.

Delicious ice cream and HUGE cones. It really hits the spot when you’re hanging out at the lagoon. But I can’t give five stars when two cones come to almost $ 20. Even for a resort, that’s insane.

Ice cream shack smack dab in the middle of the Hilton Waikoloa resort. When you’re lounging by the water and people watching, what better than to have a nice cold ice cream. Careful however when this place is crowded, it takes a while for them to get stuff out as they move in a singular linear fashion.

Varied selection of flavors. Very expensive for what you get. The single serve is like a very small kiddie sized single serve elsewhere. Some specific flavor reviews from our group, the mint chip tastes like toothpaste and the coffee toffee has no toffee in it. Slow service.

Good flavors of locally made Hawaiian ice cream. Fresh waffle cones made on-site. Located near the lagoon and dolphin exhibit. A little pricey.
