Waikoloa school is comparitively better than other public elementary schools on the island. I know because I went there for a couple of years waaaay back when it opened. But forget that: this review is about the school as a skate spot. The school is chock full of slippery knee– to shin-high concrete benches. Some of the benches are really slippery, but you have to hunt around for them. I’m pretty sure theres some right up front by the admin building. There are also these big speed bump pyramids which are good as gap up gap down manual pads. The parking lot has a decent-sized grass gap thats about 5-or 6 feet with a foot and a half step down. Good for throwing a box, picnic table, or portable rail across. There is also a little tiny curb thats sloped like a kicker. Its only about 9 inches high, but the tiny transition is steep enough on it to actually get some pop. You can find that right by the parking lot gap. Theres a but more to it, but you have to search around. And don’t skate there at too late at night or when school is in session. Be sure to park on the street or across Paniolo at that church. Do this so you dont get locked in by vindictive faculty. Overall, great potential for lines, and smooth pavement to cut down on noise when filming. If you’re in the area and have a skate, give a lil sesh-won, szechuan.
