Good tourist spot for a hamburger and some drinks. It is somewhat open so it feels like you are eating outside. Good food and good drinks. My wife tried the locomoco and the beef was very very rare(maybe that is normal). The rest of the family was relatively happy with their food. My biggest complaint is the«live» music. They basically stick a band in a corner where a booth used to be. Our first table was literally about five feet from the band — you couldn’t even think let alone have a conversation. Once we moved to a table on the other side of the restaurant it was a pleasant experience. I don’t quite get the new trend for live bands. Whether it is here or at places like Monkeypod, the live bands basically detract from the overall experience. It makes having a conversation while eating dinner, or even just ordering your food, difficult if not impossible. So — if you go, ask to be on the side of the restaurant away from the band!

Decided to go Shops at Wahalia with the fam around the afternoon. Dad lead us to Cheeseburger in paradise… paradise! We were greeted and sat immediately. We did have a tiny booth for the four of us but we made it work. I wanted to try Blue Hawaii, since I got to the island and dad ordered a pins colada. The waitress also helped dad decide on a drink and told him what sort of liquor was in it. We shared the fish and chips. Cousin ordered a bacon burger with avocado and the tomatoe and she ordered something with potatoes salad. The fish and chips were Ono! The batter was sweet and I squeezed a some lemon on top as well. The fries that came with were crispy and brown. Btw my blue Hawaii was delicious as well. One more of those and they would have had roll me outta there lol! Dad was gonna order another pins colada but I think he was on the same boat. He waitress was friendly & even the manager came by to check on us, asked us where were from. They both had a lot of aloha spirit!

Beyond comprehension, I was seriously looking for the candid camera. The IPA we ordered apparently had a problem with the keg, 20 minutes later we received option #2. Waiter came 30 minutes after ordering appetizer and said«I forgot to place your order, do you still want it»? I have had incredible meals in Wailea for 2 days, guess my luck ran out.

Service was horrible. It took several minutes for a waitress to make her first appearance and another 10 minutes to get waters. We ate breakfast — wife got French toast and it was inedible. They use a weird spice on it. I had an omelette and honestly couldn’t tell if I was eating ham or sausage(I ordered sausage). Had to consistently flag our waitress and beg for refills and then beg for our check at the end. Would absolutely not recommend to anyone.

I like a cheese burger with cheddar cheese not available at this cheese burger restaurant. Service is slow.

Cheeseburger Island Style is located in the shopping mall at Wailea but is in a fairly quite corner on the back side of the mall. We went there twice during our trip to Maui and found the consistency to be the same both times. The onion rings are huge and crisp. Someone wrote they were soggy and didn’t hold together… not our finding at all. Just the opposite in fact. The burgers were delicious. Cooked medium unless you order otherwise. The bun was even good(something I often find lacking). The fries were so so but it depends on what kind of fries you like. Go at happy hour for some reasonable bargains on apps and drinks.

Maui isn’t really my cup of tea. Perhaps it’s because both trips here were for work, this time a two plus day visit. Our work event happened at the Grand Wailea Hotel, which, like most hotels in the area, is an all-inclusive resort. Given the atmosphere, we were encouraged to utilize facilities for any and all activities. My lifestyle favors visiting local places where your day-to-day local crowd dine. Unfortunately, many of the places that we’ve tried have been geared towards tourists, often meaning that the flavors may not be necessarily authentic and things are pricier. This restaurant is located in a mini-mall just up the hill from our hotel and houses several boutique stores, Lappert’s Ice Cream, an ABC type store, and a few restaurants such as Tommy Bahamas and Longhi’s, an island chain. After a quick study of the breakfast menus of Longhi’s and here, I chose here… it also helped to see more diners at this business than the other. Our greeter led us to a booth a bit towards the back of the restaurant and away from the bar. There was a couple and a larger party in our area. After ordering an iced tea, I decided on the Kalua pork loco moco( ). For a burger place, I was a bit surprised at the presentation, in a good way. I smiled in seeing the tiny umbrella. My worry in ordering this was that Kalua pork is often too salty and, with the generous gravy portion, my iced tea was ready to parch this issue. After breaking the soft egg and releasing the delicious yolk onto the rice, meat, and gravy… let’s just say, this was one of the better loco moco’s I’ve ever had. The Kalua pork had the trademark smoky flavor and the gravy worked well with this and the rice. The egg also cut the saltiness, making this a perfect storm of a comfort food breakfast for me. Our waitress checked on our drinks and whether the food was okay. We were in and out of the restaurant in about 45 minutes and never felt rushed. I noticed that they have a number of tropical drinks and Bloody Mary’s, but it was a bit early for those. I would come back if we stay at the Grand Wailea resort again as this meal was reasonable both price and portion wise.

We decided to give them a try after seeing $ 100 worth of gift cards for $ 79.99 at Costco. Service was decent at best both visits. Drinks were not consistent and were either too strong or too weak. Their onion rings would have been better if they were cooked all the way and not doughy tasting. Burgers were cooked properly and were visually appealing. Ambience is their strength and we would likely not return.

This restaurant has been a delightful place to dine for their cheeseburger with an attitude, and of course, onion rings! Just left there and won’t be going back anytime soon. They have made some changes – new booths, live music, onion rings are ginormous, oh yea, and prices are up! Quality?! Medium at best but really mostly costly and not much taste. The size of the onion rings basically steamed the breading and they didn’t stay together. Burgers were saucy, not cooked to my order, and too much extra stuff put on. I ended up eating the patty and one onion ring – $ 17.50! The live music was good, the staff was friendly, the new booths comfy. But as a local wanting a little better it was too pricey and not worth the parking fees to come here. Restaurant needs something but the«chef» might do well to go to remedial cooking classes!

This restaurant has very poor food for the prices. $ 3 for a side salad and I got a half cup wedge of iceberg lettuce with quarter cup of diced tomatoes. Service was good.

SWEET Caroline was so sweet, can’t wait to visit with her again when we return! The cob and the watermelon salads were absolutely delicious and I love the little birds visiting the tables

If you have an appetite, ordering a burger off the menu will definitely fit the bill. I ordered the«It’s All Good» burger and liked the flavor combination.(See pic) One thing I would change is to ask for the thousand Island dressing on the side, rather than having it directly on the burger. It makes it a bit of a mess, dealing with the sauce and all the ingredients. I loved the seasoned fries and felt like there were just enough of them, which was nice. Our waitress, Summer, was very friendly and the manager stopped by the table a couple of times as well. Enjoyable atmosphere overall.

We eat here a lot because it’s close, they have food my kids will eat, and I always think it will be a little better than it is. First of all: If you’re going to have Cheeseburger in your name, make the best cheeseburger I ever had. Most of the time it feels like you are not even trying. No matter how I order it, I know it will always come either well done or very well done. And so, so salty. Some positives: The price of the breakfast special cannot be beat on Maui. Also, there’s a Kama’aina discount… but you have to ask for it. Even after they ask where you’re from, they won’t automatically give it to you. Lastly, Jessica: Why do you always seem so unhappy to be waiting tables? You live in Hawaii. Find another job if you don’t like this one.

Unfortunately, this is probably the worst burger I have ever had. I have been to Maui many times, and this restaurant a few times as well. Maybe it was an off night, as I don’t remember the quality seeming this poor before. The meat didn’t taste right, and was definitely dried out. Burgers are also a la carte, which wasn’t clearly stated on the menu or by the server. I also had the Pina Colada, they are supposedly house made and some of the best, it was decent but nothing exciting and came out looking sad without any garnishes. Based on some of the other reviews, it sounds like their breakfast may be the way to go. I will be sticking to Cheeseburger in Paradise in Lahaina from now on. Two stars because the live music was good.

You decide whether this is bad: We lived on Maui for over 4 years, have eaten at every breakfast joint and today I have to say that we had the most freshest and delicious breakfast ever. Here is what we ordered; — Skinny Scramble OUTSTANDING! — Early Bird special OUTSTANDING! — x2 Blueberry pancakes OUTSTANDING! — x2 Coffee OUTSTANDING! Total Cost? $ 25 When I got the bill I thought they forgot to add something… Not used to paying his little and even if it was more I would of still rated this place a 5 start due to the quality and freshness of the food and cooking perfection! Our server today was Katelina and she is super funny and polite and kept us smiling! Maybe this place had a bad past but definitely not anymore! Five stars without a doubt, it’s our new breakfast place! Amen!

After a week of fish, Cheeseburger was a delicious! Read the story/history on the cover… great inspiration. Staff was friendly and welcoming. Cheeseburger with attitude was juicy and delicious. Mai Tai was the best that I’ve had here. Great send off to a week in Maui!

In an area full of crazy expensive restaurants, it’s nice to have a reasonably priced alternative that is kid-friendly. I turned my nose up at the idea of coming here many times for no solid reason. I finally bit the bullet and nine of us went marching in with no reservation one evening during our vacation. Nine yummy hamburgers, nine french fries(they’re seasoned), five milkshakes and two salads. This was the cheapest meal we had on the island and it was solidly delicious. The service had some major issues, but nothing we couldn’t handle. I was pleasantly surprised and I’m happy to admit that I was a snob without a cause.

This place is not at all worth it. Go down the road to Monkey Pod, or just about anywhere else. We were looking for a casual lunch and a good Mai Tai for our first day on Maui and this place seemed to fit the bill. My husband’s «medium» burger was nothing special and came out very well done. My «rare» seared tuna sandwich also came out well done, and the can’t-miss sesame mayo was really just that — mayo with a few sesame seeds. And the pineapple cole slaw ended up being just a wedge of pineapple. The Mai Tai was highly recommended on the menu, but was literally nothing more than orange-pineapple juice from concentrate with a rum floater. I’m not sure there was any rum mixed into the drink itself. Our server was(although not very knowledgeable) extremely polite and attentive to us. He sent the tuna sandwich back to try again for rare/me-rare and it came out very rare. The quality of the meat itself was fine, not great, but fine, and I probably won’t get food poisoning.
