I ate here while on vacation. The food was really quite good, as is normal with Ruth Chris. What really gave this restaurant the great review was the service. It has been a very long time since I have been waited on like I was here. Our drinks were constantly full, our bread basket was constantly loaded with fresh, warm bread and the waiters were constantly checking in and seeing if we needed anything. I literally do not have anything bad to say about the service. It was very nice to have a dining experience during which I had no issues with the service. Awesome job and thank you.

Great dinner! Reserved a table for our anniversary. We wanted a quiet dinner without the kids and no fuss. Ruth Chris delivered. Jared was our server… I asked him to not rush dinner as wanted to take it slow and enjoy a bottle of wine. He did a great job timing the courses and we didn’t feel rushed. Food was great, petite filet was cooked perfectly. Lobster tail was small, but what can you expect for a three course dinner for $ 55 on Maui. Crab stuffed mushrooms for our pupu were heavy on the garlic, which we liked.

First time at Wailea location, and it was a great experience. Went with the hubs and got seated in cozy booth. It was wine Wednesday so 25% off any bottle of wine, it was nice that the server let us know and he recommended a nice bottle of Pinot Noir which the hubby loves. Ordered from Prime Time Menu but added blackened scallops as appetizer which was a good way to start the meal. Salads were fresh, got both the Caesar and steak salads. We both got filet mignon which was perfectly cooked, mashed potato and creamed spinach for sides, and for dessert the bread pudding with whiskey sauce and hubby upgraded to choco mud slide. Great service and top notch food. We love Ruth’s Chris, it’s our go to treat.

Absolutely the worst meal I have ever had at a high end restaurant. Medium-well steak was raw in the middle, broccoli was crunchy, the restaurant ran out of potatoes… The list goes on. The only reason I didn’t give one star is because the manager did comp our meal, and they were very apologetic for our experience.

Oh Ruth’s, we were a little disappointed this time. Coming to Ruth’s Chris was our Hawaiian tradition and this Wailea experience might be the one that changes it. First off, the wife and I both got our own ribeyes done the same way. *drool alert* Hers was PERFECT… holy molyyyyy. Insanely delicious and the doneness couldn’t have been more on point. Mine on the other hand was a little too well done for«rare». You know the point where it’s not quite medium-rare but not quiiiiiiite rare enough? That’s where it was sitting and it’s really hard to complain about it lol. Also, knowing how bomb-diggity’s the wife’s ribeye was didn’t help. We each had the creamed spinach as sides and that was amazing! Service from our waiter(Jarod, apparently spelled wrong) was very mediocre for a place like this — very unattentive and only came by to take our order and give us our cheque. In comparison, the 2 other guys that gave us our food/drinks and cleaned up the table were a million times more personable and more welcoming. I really hope they got a bit of the tips that night because our waiter didn’t earn a penny of it! We even thought about just slipping the other guys the tip instead… Long story short, food was alright for this time. I wouldn’t have really bat an eye if I didn’t realize my wife’s steak was so much more amazing. Service from our waiter was crap.

We came in for happy hour and had some excellent cocktails. Unfortunately, their happy hour menu has only one item that does not have seafood in it, which did not bode well for me as I am allergic to shellfish. Service was spotty from the start. I am understanding as they were accommodating a difficult guest but after that it did not improve. Food was good but not great as we are accustomed to. We have eaten at Ruth’s Chris all over the country and internationally. To add insult to injury, I got my bread pudding to go as I typically do. It was not cut neatly as I am accustomed to, but scooped so it looked like the last serving you would find at a buffet. They forgot to include the generally wonderful whiskey sauce. Let’s just say this quickly ended up in our trash can and I was even more disappointed. A self proclaimed«regional manager» made several touches to other customers but never asked us how things were. Needless to say, we won’t be back and our money will be better spent elsewhere. I was contacted by a manager after posting my review that stated«your feedback is my priority.» They promised to reach out to me as soon as possible. It’s been a week and I haven’t heard a peep. Thanks for wasting my time asking for my contact information.

Years later and here we are — still coming to Ruth’s Chris in Wailea. I can’t help it, the service here is really good — especially if you get Steve or Dave! The food is good too, but the service here is top-notch. On this recent visit, they had a pre-set menu which was my choice and was so glad I went with it. Petite filet and lobster tail entrée with your choice of salad, side, and dessert. I was very happy with my choice! The only thing I can bring up as a «meh» was that the salad was a little overdressed and I wish I ordered the dressing on the side. Other than that, it was a very good dinner! I must also bring up the crab legs, I thought it was pretty cool that they cut the shell so you have a little«handle» to use when you dip it in the butter… LOL!

I am so happy with my dining experience at Ruth’s Chris Wailea! Our server, Steve, was on it since we arrived. He was courteous, prompt, and very mindful of how we were during our meal. He made sure our drink refills were on the table before our previous drinks were finished, brought us plenty of bread and butter, and gave us time to enjoy the food and company. Very glad we went there!

We’ve eaten at several #RC on the Main-Island but our 1st on my birthday in Maui, Hi, I have to say the hospitality was local/friendly vibe. Food always great… but didn’t really like the Lobster Mac&Cheese. I’m guessing it’s selective… so 4-Stars –Thx #RuthChris

We are visiting Maui. Having been to several Ruth’s Chris Restaurants before and have loved them all. We were looking forward to it. This one couldn’t have been more disappointing. The Filet we ordered couldn’t have been more flavorless. The shrimp cocktail sauce was so hot that we couldn’t breathe. The baked potato flat, not fluffy with black spots. And they took off their menu our favorite Lyonnaise Potatoes. Just so so disappointing. Though the waiter was nice and we did not complain because we were too hungry at that point.

I absolutely love this place for their happy hour. 5−7pm 7 days/wk. $ 6 wines and wells, and $ 10 shrimp cocktail(the best on the planet). Quiet enough to here your guest’s voice ;) Excellent services as you’d expect, without the pretentiousness of some other venues. Try their shrimp, either in the cocktail or in the BBQ arrangement — they are fantastic.

This location is different from other Ruth’s Chris steakhouses. Unfortunately, this is because the food quality here is far below that of other locations. None of the food, with the exception of the mashed potatoes, was great. The worst of all were the crab cakes, which tasted old and fishy. My date’s steak was extremely undercooked(raw/inedible middle not even cooked to rare, when ordered med. rare) and had to be sent back for recooking. I found this especially surprising since they pride themselves on their steak preparation. The staff was friendly and fairly attentive. However, the atmosphere was drab and in desperate need of an update. This was by far the worst, yet one of the most expensive meals we had on our vacation. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience.

50th Anniversary special, 3 course meal w/soup or salad, petite filet & lobster tail, a side and a dessert for $ 50. Not a bad deal, steak & lobster was awesome. Misprint on the menu, potatoes au gratin isn’t a choice for the side, they’ll charge you an extra $ 5. Service here is always right on, steak is tender as can be and tasty.

Bottom line: the prices are not worth the mediocre food and experience. I had never been to this chain, but took a chance here on dinner our first night. We got in early and took advantage of their early bird special, basically a salad/side/entrée for a slightly lower price. The salad had clearly been pre-made and tasted old and bland. Our steaks came out cooked to the wrong temperature, and we ended up sending one back, so we were eating at different times, and they literally recooked his half cut up steak. In my experience, when a steak is sent back for being cooked incorrectly, the customer gets a new one. This was odd and we weren’t apologized to or given anything extra for the issue. The presentation is also not great, literally just a steak with butter on a plate. The garlic mashed potatoes were good. Luckily there are other steak houses in the area that know what they’re doing :)

Not that this Ruth’s Chris needs a another review… But here you go anyway. Impeccable service from hostess to servers to bartenders and management. Our lobster, crab legs and filet were perfect. Even the A1 sauce was pre-shaken and chilled(sorry you steak purists). Drinks were awesomely good with no stinginess on pours. Cheers! My second time here and it was as good if not better than the first. Suggest you come here — you won’t be disappointed.

Convenient location with free parking lot nearby. Steve was an excellent server! Huge tip. After two weeks of eating seafood we needed a little taste of home and this location didn’t disappoint us. One complaint. Bring back the Lobster Bisque! Opens at 5pm.

Me and my Husband ate here on our Maui Honeymoon! We wanted to have a good steak and we were very happy we came here! The steaks are cooked perfectly and are served to you on a hot plate with butter! I got the lobster with the steak and it was cooked perfectly as well! Will definitely return here on our next trip to Maui ;) Romantic atmosphere ;)

One of my absolute favorite restaurants! Delicious food, best rib eye steak anywhere, superb service from professional staff. Stop at Costco and buy the gift cards. They’re sold for $ 79.99 and you get $ 100 worth on a gift card… Bam! Just saved $ 20 I love it!

Very tasty fish. We ate from the pre fixe menu. Seafood gumbo, petite fillet(I butterflied mine), then bread pudding. Others had cocktails. I ate at the Philadelphia location prior so I knew what I was getting myself into. My steak was well done to my liking. Succulent. Side of mashed potato and broccoli. Compared to other dining totals in the area, I thought the meal was was bargain!

Ruth’s Chris Steak House is a honorable choice in steak to satisfy your red meat cravings while in the Wailea rare of Hawaii. With this chains having hundreds of locations spread across America, chances are you have been to a Ruth’s Chris Steak House once, if not dozens of times. Charbroiled steaks come direct from the salamander broiler to your table while sizzling in their signature pool of melted butter and herbs. The Wailea location is no different in that respect. The shrimp cocktail was both attractive to the eye as well as the tongue. The filet and rib eye were both charred to a perfect melt in your mouth medium rare and were nothing if not delicious. The service was excellent as well, not a single complaint. In execution, this Ruth Chris is on par with any. Why the 3 stars you ask? Honestly, it is the ambiance. I could have been in Akron Ohio for all I knew. In fact, the over sized tourists in jean shorts, tee shirts and socks/sandals combinations would have suggested I actually was. I felt completely over dressed in an oxford button up and dress shoes. I wondered if my companion in a black dress felt the same. I understand it is Hawaii and«laid back» is the whole principal but people looked dressed for the Las Vegas airport. Being located at the end of a strip mall did not help matters much either, they have absolutely no view to speak of so you get to look at pictures of how gorgeous Hawaii can be on the drywall as your«scenic view». Very disheartening at this price point and I honestly had to wonder who thought that this was the perfect place to showcase USDA Prime cuts of beef. Puzzling, really. If you have a serious yearning for steak, Ruth’s Chris Steak House will definitely fit the bill, just be sure to walk the beach beforehand and wear the outfit you rock to mow the lawn.
