We live near Curley’s Fruit Stand and buy the bread and treats for gifts for all our friends and family. Plus the view is amazing! Curleys smiling from heaven everyday to see his stand still making people smile everyday. Aloha. The Traphagen Ohana

It was mentioned that Julia’s Banana Bread is the best in the island, so after finishing a hike in the Waihee Ridge trail, I drove the serpentine road to Kahukuloa. When I got there(after nearly an hour), they were out of bread! I was disappointed, but I remembered passing by Curley’s on the way, and so I went back and had one sample bite. Boy, I was hooked, and thankfully there were 2 left! The bread was fresh, moist, not too sweet, with a mellow(not overpowering) banana flavor. I could be wrong but I thought I could smell/taste some hint of lilikoi. The texture was incredible, like it wanted to melt but wanted to tease your palate a bit more. It is banana bread excellence wrapped in a $ 6 bargain. Importantly, the fruit stand is located just before the road becomes the more difficult counterpart of the road to Hana(but without the waterfalls), so I could’ve saved myself the risk of a head-on collision or driving off a cliff. Overall, I highly recommend Curley’s banana bread. If you’ve just finished the Waihee Ridge trail, I couldn’t think of a better reward!

Awesome fruit stand along the highway. Hands down the best coconut candy we’ve had on Maui and we’ve tried several from other stands and stores. Fantastic homemade banana bread, too, as well as reasonably priced young drinking coconuts(2 for $ 5). Gorgeous views along the drive to boot!
