Got 4 butter rolls that everyone raves about. They’re good but I’m assuming if you can get them warm they’re even better? We’ll be back to try their treats earlier in the morning. It was late in the day and things were picked over and we didn’t have time to go back. Good prices too.

Small little bakery. You can never go wrong with their butter rolls. And they’re only $ 9 a dozen!

I just had a cinnamon roll and a manapua. The manapua was tasty and the bun was really soft. The bread in the cinnamon roll was super fluffy and flavorful! They could cut back on the sugar, but the combination of sugar, cinnamon and raisins was perfect! And no one can deny that their butter rolls are the best! Parking is real tough here — like one and ¾ stalls to the left of the bakery as you’re facing it.

I got mango and banana bread but they are gifts so i havent tasted them. I also got a roll that had pink or red like pork in it. Tastes yummy. The star was of course the butter rolls!!! I only orders two. One for me and one for my mom. The lady behind the counter looked shocked when i only asked for two. They are so rich i couldnt eat more. But i loved it

So Ono! Did what everyone recommended and got the BUTTERROLLS. They are a cross between a pop-over and Hawaiian bread that is then doused lovingly in butter, served warmed. They are so(too) delicious. Everything else we got was also fantastic, custard malasada(vanilla bean), mango bread, and coconut buns.

«I got Maui on my mind» The quest for great food finds is not limited to Oahu or the resort areas of the neighbor islands. Ono grinds is where you find’m no matter da location. Take the quest for a great tasting butter roll. Oahu has/had two great butter roll bakeries, Mike’s in Waianae and the Paalaa Kai bakery in Waialua(although dis one is temporarily closed right now as of Oct 19 for health code violations-yikes). Had a chance to do some snooping on the island of Maui and a couple of friends recommended the Four Sisters Bakery in Wailuku town. Just a ½ block from the open public parking lot on Vineyard street, this small, unassuming bakery could easily at first glance be mistaken for any anonymous small business that had set up shop in the area. The bakery is housed in a small yellow bldg and attached to a larger two story structure that looks like a residence. There is very little parking, like two, so better you park at the public stalls up da street and walk da ½ block, no biggie. Other Yeeps have discussed the merits of the manapua, malasadas and other goodies but I was a man on a mission– butter rolls!(uuuhhhhh…imagine Homer Simpson making sounds when looking at donuts) So their we were, a few hours before coming home, to get our hands on the buttery treats. And da verdict? Two thumbs Up! They were goooood! These are the most buttery rolls I have had in my life! Toasted and served with a little jelly, you cannot get closer to butter roll nirvana my friends. The roll itself is a little sweeter than what you would expect, an unexpected delight. We also bought a couple of glazed donuts, they were good, brought back memories of the old time mom n pop bakeries in Kaimuki back in the day. We took a couple of da rolls home and refrigerated them to give it da reheat test and even after a couple of days, the rolls were still ono! Recommend toasting not microwaving it. Kinda glad Four Sisters Bakery is not on Oahu, otherwise I’d be blimping out. Fours Sisters is in da top three butter roll bakeries in Hawaii and by far, the most buttery of da bunch.

The best butter rolls! Very friendly lady greeted us as we walked in the store. This place opens at 5:30 in the morning. The rolls she gave us were fresh out of the oven, it was so soft and buttery. Love their malasadas too. Will go back again tomorrow. I bought banana and mango bread too but haven’t tried it yet, got too full from eating butter rolls.

Stopped by because of the good reviews. Was a little concerned because the building didn’t really look like a bakery and there isn’t any parking. The malasadas were great. Grabbed banana bread as well to take to our condo which was great as well.

Small little local bakery. Decent to Good malasadas and other bread/rolls. Wasn’t blown away though. Counter person wasn’t very helpful or informative. I’d probably skip this next time and get another pie at Leoda’s.

Woah! Some of the most ono stuf on the island! Get the Pan De Coco — which is a sweet olé filed with a sweet and chewy grated cocout filling. Amazing! The bred is soft lke manapua bread. Grade: A! We also got the butter rolls — which is the light and flufy rolls that are slathered wth butter. Fluffy, chewy texture, fun to eat! Great with dinner or alone as a snack. Grade: B+

Been going here for over five years and love the pastries such as long john, butter rolls, and malasadas! Long john because they pipe fresh custard into the bun after you order it. Butter rolls because they are buttery, sweet, and oh so soft! And malasadas because it’s soft sugary and absolutely delightful! Also because they have a few Filipino ingredients that are must haves in the kitchen.

Just stopped by here on a Friday around 8:30AM doing some malasada and manapua research :) Unfortunately the malasadas weren’t fresh and the pork manapua fell short of my expectations. There was hardly any pork filling and the bread pretty thin.

Four Sisters Bakery. What an Awesome little family owned store. 10÷18÷14 hurricane Ana kept us from picking up our fundraiser banana bread. The kind people here let me pick it up the next day. Thank you very much! Without giving too much information, Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Your kind gesture of feeding my family of 3 without hesitation will forever warm my heart. May your generosity be returned to you 1K fold.

This bakery is very popular, so go early if you want to get what you want. However, even that doesn’t guarantee they’ll have what you’re looking for. Plenty of free parking close by, so don’t stress if you can’t find parking out front. I come for the Manapua’s. They have Char Siu, Pork and Chicken. They are fresh, soft and very good. Their Malasada’s are good too. They are fluffy and soft and go great with a cup of coffee. I’ve been fortunate when I’ve gone to get friendly service, so I’ll keep my fingers crossed that it continues.

Two words. Butter rolls. Light, great flavor and super buttery. And only $ 9 for a dozen?! O M G. No one does it better. Malasadas — Mmm their version is very mainstream with a almost flavorless batter. Honestly, go to Zippy’s or Home Maid Bakery for tastier versions.
