We expected more for the price and the time. This place was missing something. Maybe it lacked authenticity? I mean the set up was there but the vibe was all wrong. The new guy was friendly and quick to open our ice cold coconut but at $ 6 the price seemed a little steep. Especially, considering you could get them cheaper everywhere else.

great first stop for Greg coconut water — great malai. great views of the ocean and the plantations around. Must do as soon as one lands in Maui.

As we were driving we decided to stop and get coconuts. We saw this place and gave it a try, we don’t regret it! The services was awesome! Than they give you options if you want more water than meat or more meat than water or in between(I got the in the between). The young gal that was working at the time was super nice! After you’re done drinking the water you can eat the meet(they open it for you and put it in a zip-loc bag. Would definitely recommend if in the area!

Very nice coconut stand and well worth the stop. The employees are really nice and know the difference between then young coconuts which have more water and the older ones which have more meat. On Unilocal it says the hours are from 9 – 5 but it’s really 10 – 5(written June 2015)

Even though the hours are listed as open until 5pm on Fridays, when I arrived at 3pm there was a sign that said«Closed for the day.»

This is a must have in Maui. It was absolutely amazing to drink fresh coconut water cut right in front of you. Once the water is over, they cut the coconut into half and let you scoop and eat the tender coconut fruit. They also have a shave ice counter nearby which had pretty interesting flavors. They also sell sauces, jams, pickles and other local stuff in the store nearby.

I was a little disappointed because the coconut that the chick picked out to drain and extract meat from was on the smaller side… which means less coconut water and less coconut meat. This is especially because this older filipino couple had 4 huge coconuts with coconut water to fill 1.5cups each. Mine barely filled 1. Next time, I’ll make sure to have them pick out a larger one. Overall, it’s cool that they pour the coconut water out into a cup with lid and straw. It’s also cool that they have this tool to scoop out the meat and put it in a ziplock bag to take to go. I also like the vintagey setup that they have with the hut, truck, etc. I haven’t tried their shaved ice, but they say it’s organic and have different flavors like hibiscus and ginger. I may give that a go next time.

Great service, delicious products, fun experience! This is a must stop! The shave ice sister stand is also amazing, my favorite shave ice I have had, yet! organic and local! I recommend the hibiscus, ginger, and guava flavors! I am going back for more!

The coconut wasn’t cold!!! Huh? Even the van down by Makena managed to put the coconuts in a cooler full of ice.(*AND* it was cheaper.) This is a full-blown, permanent structure… why not keep the coconuts COLD? Forget it. A warm coconut makes you thirstier than if you hadn’t drank anything at all.

ABSOLUTELYTHEWORST, WORSTTHANALLTHEREST. BIGTIPPERHERE: Save your money and memories and go towards MAKENABEACH for DELICIOUSLY ice cold coconuts. I had the worst coconut in my life here. They gave me a warm freaking coconut what a waste of $ 6 bucks I could have given to a homeless man. Seriously after a mile I wanted to turn back and go back and return it but I should have said something or threw it back right away. They probably would serve a puddle for shave ice as my hubby says. WORSTWARMCOCONUTINTHEWORLD. Again please enjoy the ride towards Makena Beach for Fish Tacos and BETTERCOCONUTS near Makena. It’s just 8 minutes away. Go now and ENJOY!

This place was actually the second coconut stand stop we made in one day. Reason being the first one was horrible! And super expensive. When I saw this one and checked out the reviews I was like I have to try this too and the coconuts were delicious. So good! I didn’t even mind the price after the horrible experience we had at the other coconut stand. The server was very friendly. He cut our coconut for us after we done drinking the water. He also gave us a passion fruit to try. That’s when I found out I actually really like passion fruit. They should also start making sugar cane juice. That will be awesome.

At $ 7 for a coconut, the price felt a little steep. Also, the coconut wasn’t chilled. On a hot summer day, ice cold coconut juice would’ve been much more refreshing. We also bought a cup of sugar cane for $ 5 and some coconut candy for $ 6. The service was nice. Be sure to have them open-up your coconut after you finish the juice so you can eat the milk. The guy was so adept at his trade he hacked off a thin piece of the coconut that we use as the spoon.

We drove by this place nearly everyday we were in Maui and finally decided to check it out when the wife had a craving for fresh coconut juice. I was appalled by the $ 6 price tag for the small coconut($ 7 for the large one), but the coconuts were fresh, and the gentleman who worked there cut open a fresh one for us. Since we were in a rush, I brought the coconut to the car so that my wife could get her coconut water/juice fix. In our rush, we did not realize that, in addition to consuming the juice, the store would then cut the coconut in half so that we could actually eat the coconut itself. It then made more sense to me why they charged $ 6! I cannot believe that we lost the opportunity to eat fresh coconut in addition to consuming the juice. If you’re in Maui and are staying on the west side of the island, you’ll see this store at the intersection of the 30 and 380 highways. Awesome little store and highly recommended.

I was in Maui a couple weeks ago with my boyfriend, rental car, and a mission: find COCONUTWATER! This place was our first stop. Super cute place with only one guy working outside. He has some reggae music on and was very nice. I highly recommend the coconut candy! It is to die for if you’re a coconut junkie like me. Ingredients are coconut chunks and Hawaiian cane sugar! The coconut water itself was refreshing. It doesn’t taste anything like store bought. Less sweet, earthy taste. Very yummy young coconut,

FRESH coconut juice at this convenient location off Highway 30 at the intersection with Highway 380(you will pass by it to/from Kahului/airport and Lahaina/West Maui). We found out about it because the(local) woman at Waikapu On 30(Hawaiian lunch plate place down the road) told us about it. Coconuts are cut open on the spot. $ 6 for small coconuts, $ 7 for large coconuts. After you drink the juice, they cut the shell in half so you can eat the coconut meat. They have Square!(e.g. they take credit cards).
