With the number of times I came here, we never go home empty handed! Never leaving empty handed doesn’t mean we spend big bucks in here. We come in here for the small items that other stores don’t normally carry. But yes, we also did walk out with a $ 200 pole one day Maui Sporting Goods is well stocked and have a wide selection of weights, lures, lines, poles, etc. They even carry many diving materials. The employees are very knowledgeable and were very helpful with any questions we had. We will be back for sure!

I was in Maui visiting in-laws and Spearfishing. I needed to set up for blue water. I had read/heard about MSG being rude to haoles but I have never found local people to be rude. I went in the store a found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. I had to change the muzzle on my gun and at one time three of the guys were helping me. I spent about an hour and a half shopping and talking story with the staff. I had a good experience, and felt right at home.

Most of the times I have been there have been a positive experience. However, the last time I was there the owner was rude to his employees and rude to me. Also, I called him to discuss a repair and he asked if I had a receipt. I said I was looking for it but he said he couldn’t look mine up because it would take him«too long“to find(day after going in there and spending over 400 dollars). I was stuck with a broken product he said he would fix or order parts to fix. After recommending several people to this shop and helping them sell almost 10 spearguns in a short amount of time I am now reconsidering referrals. Lost trust here. Amazon welcomes all.

I used to run around these streets as a kid. This was about as far as I could go without getting yelled at… years later its Maui Sporting Goods. Now I am no diver… I think about how different my life could have been if I stayed here? I do in fact love to fish, and they have a great selection of Hawaii fishing gear. I only come to the islands now to visit family, but on my bucket list is to catch an Ulua. They have all the right gear from poles, reels, hooks, and boots to get you that trophy. I unfortunately do not know a lot about fishing for Hawaii game fish, but looking at all the set ups you can tell they don’t have any«da kine junk«here !! As for me I fish in the states, Brian hooked me up with a few jigs with custom heads and Japanese skirts to fish Baja waters. On my last trip they worked fantastic and I definitely out fished the other Ka-tonks. I hope maybe next time I’ll stop by for a week any try to catch my trophy…

The owner Brian is awesome! He has such a big heart. Always willing to help others out. Every year he puts on the Dive with Dad tournament that benefits a selected child or children who are battling cancer. The money and donations raised from the tournament go to the child(ren) and to the Hawaii Cancer Foundation. The Dive with Dad tournament not only benefits children with cancer but it also teaches the kids who are diving on ocean safety, conservation and respect for the land and ocean. The shop has everything you need whether you are a fisherman(on or off shore), a diver or a spear-fishermen. They also carry Boy Scout uniforms and accessories. A great little shop, with great people working there!

Super friendly and helpful service! Prices are a little expensive, but what do you expect from quality dive gear? They have a good selection of spearguns and diving essentials for a small shop! Highly recommend at least checking it out!
