Maui Thing

This is the cutest store ever. Seriously. I don’t know how many times I’ve driven by and thought «I have got to go in and check this place out!» I finally got to go in today and see the awesomeSauce of Maui Thing!
Right when I walked through the door, the sales associate greeted me with a smile. The store was well lit, very clean and organized. It offers a very welcoming shopping experience. Prices are clearly marked on all the items and there’s even a sale rack.
The store carries a wide variety of really cute women’s attire. They also have an adorable line of children’s and baby clothing and accessories. Most of the items are so cute and unique that you need one of every design. I’m not sure how any of the sales associates there leave with a paycheck! I know I’d be spending it all on Maui threads.
If you’re looking for a fun gift to send to someone on the mainland, or something unique for yourself, you definitely need to check out this store. From trucker hats to small clutches to swimsuits and tank tops, this store has you covered. If you’re looking for unique baby gifts, they have some really cute items that would be perfect! Go check them out and get your shop on!

I love this store. A lot of my clothes are from here, it’s the only Maui thing store here. A little expensive but it’s very original, the girls that work here are super friendly and helpful. Thanks Maui thing

Love the store. It is jam packed with Maui clothing like shirts, tanks, sweatshirts, long sleeved Ts, hats, surfboards. The designs are modern and fun. Prices are a bit on the high side, but I’m OK with paying for current and quality designs.
Parking is a bit difficult, as the lot and store faces a very busy street (Market).

I always stop by this place when I go on my annual Maui trip. Love their stuff, and their staff!

I ordered a shirt and a childrens onesie about a week before Christmas, and I got my package in just 3 days! They were so fast, and so efficient! AND, there was a little personal hand-​written note in the package thanking me for shopping with them and wishing me happy holidays! How cute!

Nice quality t shirts with modern identity. Not the 4 for $ 10.00 Walmart bargains, but something locally unique that Hawaii locals and the traveler, not tourist, will wear-​out. I like the zip code designs so folks know the direction to push me when inebriated on First Friday.

Maui Thing is such a great local retailer and is not only supporting revitalization of Wailuku Town, but really revitalizing and bringing life back to Maui itself. They have great tshirt designs and really represent Maui without screaming out Maui. They also have events where they partner with other local retailers and invite the community to have a good time together. Their community involvement and great designs is a great thing for Maui.

On this trip to Hawaii, I was looking for some local wear, that wasn’t the same Ol’ Crazy shirt/​Surfer stuff. I wanted a fresh look that showed a bit more island spirit that just the standard stuff from the ABC stores.
I found this local place in old Wailuku town (Central Maui) and what a surprise! Great logo (looks like the shape of Maui), and great fabrics for T-​shirts. The «Stuck on Good» motto is a great theme for this clothing manufacturer that caters to locals, but can be worn by mainlanders like me.
It’s around the airport area, check it out on the way to your hotels on the other sides of the island.

Maui Thing is a community-​oriented clothing store that has one of a kind graphic tees and designs. The company is very involved in the Wailuku community, sponsors local surfers, and is an eco-​friendly brand. They really are «stuck on good» as their motto says.
I got my first Maui Thing shirt two years ago from my auntie as a gift. She is childhood friends with the owner/​designer of Maui Thing, Sae. I went back a few days later to check out the new store in Wailuku. The space was clean, neat, and artsy. The store itself could resemble an art gallery. There are even paintings by local artists that adorn the walls which are available to purchase.
This year we made our return visit to Maui Thing and loaded up on some back-​to-​school shirts for my brother, gifts for people back home, and some souvenirs for us to keep. The tee shirts are all super soft and printed on American Apparel shirts. As an AA fan, I can attest to their super soft tee shirt material. I really love all of the designs and graphic prints. A lot of the guys tees reminded me of something I would find on an LRG shirt. I enjoyed just browsing through all of the clothes to appreciate the art on them. Brings me back to my high school graphic arts days…
I like that they incorporated more than just tees into their women’s line. I appreciated the variety of blouses, cardigans, and dresses that the store offered. The only problem was finding my size. I wanted to buy the Flo Top
but they only had XLs left. Bummer.
Most of the tees run about $ 20 and the sale items are $ 10. But note: Sales items are non-​returnable.
Buy some Maui Thing tees for ‘omiage’ or souvenirs for your loved ones back home. It beats those obnoxious Aloha shirts and coconut bras any day!

Love this store! Let me put it this way… Upper Playground is to San Francisco as Maui Thing is to Maui. Love the local vibe and the original designs. I bought a super soft and light rag sweater from here and wear it all the time ’cause it’s so comfy! I even brought back a little shirt for my baby brother, so you know he’s lookin’ fly.
If you’re in the Wailuku area, definitely make it a point to stop by and cop some souvenirs for your family… you know as an alternative to those cheesy Aloha shirts from the ABC stores. :)

This place is really unique to Maui and is definitely a store to check out while there. It is located on Market St. which has a bunch of one-​of-​a-​kind Maui stores that don’t only cater to the tourists but also the locals. Their clothes have great trendy designs portraying a positive message that comes across to everyone that sees my shirt. I get compliments when I wear Maui Thing shirts all the time, no joke! Their clothes are definitely a great gift to bring home for your families or they are fantastic for everyday wear for yourself. They are very affordable and extremely comfortable. The staff at the store is very nice and helpful, and the store has a great vibe to it. Stop by and check it out. You’ll be STUCK ON GOOD!

What a cool little store! Maui Thing is a local clothing brand that promotes positive messages, community involvement, taking care of the environment, and all sorts of warm fuzziness.
The store is bright and vibrant and you get a good vibe just walking in. They have a cool assortment of shirts and hoodies, many made of organic cotton. Prices are reasonable and I love their logo which is an octopus that resembles the shape of Maui.
Stop by and check this place out if you’re ever passing through Wailuku.
