The staff here are very friendly. Well organized grocery store and clean. There’s an American Savings Bank inside so you can do your banking transactions as well. Their deli has everything from sandwiches to sushi. The fried chicken and korean chicken is my favorite. Very yummy! They normally have specials on their chicken so keep an eye out for those.

OLD, OLD, SMELLYSTORE! Oh my goodness, the shopping carts make you want to vomit and thank goodness they supply Purell wipes at the entrance. The prices? OMG… outrageous! Variety of items is ok, if you want ASIAN items. Forget it if you want some other ethnic item. Staff is friendly and helpful though… give them and A+ for that!

Im obsessed with Poke, so I have been going everywhere trying it out. This store has a very large selection of poke that is totally fresh everytime. The store is always very clean and organized, the lines are never long, and once again, amazing snacks. mmm snacks.

I wish this Foodland-company was located in Kahului, as they oddly have a bigger selection than their parent company’s store. PROS: — Lots of inventory(compared to Foodland Kahului) — Wide & spacious aisles — Part of the Maikai program which you can earn Hawaiian Miles CONS: — Parking lot design sucks; one way in, one way out — The mall they’re located in is filthy and nasty

5 stars for the poke bar! So many choices of delicious poke at a reasonable price tucked in the back of this otherwise average grocery store. Perfect for a take-out lunch!

Sack ‘n Save is basically the same as Foodland. They accept Maika’i cards and have similar offerings in food. Their seafood section is pretty awesome, especially if you like poke’. A great store if you don’t like long lines as well, they are really good about that.

YALIKEDAKINE? They have about everything that you need for making breakfast, lunch & dinner at this store. LIQUOR: Coming from the mainland, I liked that they have all the liquor right there on the shelves. I found the SAKI that I needed to cook my special dinner. SERVICE: The people who work there seemed pretty neighbourly & friendly. It has that busy-small-town feel about it. Why? I think it’s still a small town.

This place has the most awesome selection of Poke I’ve ever seen. and it’s all $ 7.95 a pound. Back right corner of the store. Go to town. The spicy masago is killer. As is the Salmon and tako. But I’m an Ahi man when it comes to this place. Great protein kick and really really delicious. make sure you ask for a fork though. it’s a bit messy(but not impossible) without one.

A friend from work told me about this grocery store before I went on my trip to Maui. It’s a fairly typical grocery store, but in the back you’ll find quite a selection of Poke. What’s Poke you might ask ??? Well it’s seafood that’s marinated in a variety of spices and usually soy sauce. If you used the word Poke, people from Hawaii would know what your talking about… If you like seafood, you should try some Poke, if not from here try it at a restaurant. Most of them have some type on the menus here in HI. The typical type of Poke is made from Ahi which is the red tuna. Typical ingredients are: Cubed Tuna(duh) that are about ¾″ cut square, soy sauce, sesame oil, sesame seeds, chili pepper flakes, green onion, maui onion, limu(seaweed) & garlic.(Don’t overdo it on any of the ingredients if your planning on making some yourself) Have the Poke with some fresh steamed sticky rice and your set !!! Mmmm You can eat the Poke with some of the rolls that they have prepared as well. See photo… =) Or just fire up ‘da rice cookah’ when you get back to your condo… The grocery store is a short drive from the airport. You can stop by and load up on some local Ono ‘grinds’ before heading to your hotel or condo.
