Kunia Chinese Restaurant

Food here has definitely gotten worse. Ordered take out the other night and food was barely edible.
Lemon chicken. It was so over cooked, it was like jerky, sauce was alright but what good is it if the meat was too tough to eat.
Shrimp rice noodle. No flavor, bland and came with 5 small pieces of shrimp.
Stuffed eggplant pork hash. Not edible, as it was way too salty.
Mongolian beef. Meat was tough and had no flavor and weird orangish color.
Beef chow fun with black bean sauce. Only thing that had taste, however was really oily.
Egg drop soup. Watery and bland. My kids actually spit it back out.
It was one of the most disgusting meals we ever had. The kids didn’t eat it at all and the adults relunctuntly ate some but most of it went in to the trash. 2 people actually got sick (stomachache, diarrhea). Haven’t ordered food from here in a while now I remember why. Never again.

Meats came way before the rice and not until after we had already eaten our share of proteins. The fried rice was bland and seemed low grade type. There was hardly any shrimp in the shrimp fried rice and the shrimp was not even fresh more like those processed and she’ll removed then frozen. Honey walnut shrimp had too much batter while the fried flounder wasn’t whole rather they removed the meat fried it in batter then dumped it on top of the skeleton. They hardly checked up on us and didn’t even bother giving extra napkins.

Food was good with great portions and good service. We had the crab puff, Kau Yuke, seafood noodle, and honey walnut shrimp

I phone ordered for take out and when I arrived restaurant was really busy. While waiting I noticed that several take out customers came back saying that there order was wrong. I patiently waited for 45 min (which I didn’t mind cause I knew they were busy) until my order was done. I kindly asked the lady who worked there if she could recheck my order because I noticed several came back saying they was given wrong order. She looked at me with this mad irritated face and opened up the containers and showed it to me, closed it and threw it on the counter and walked away. WTF was that! What type of customer service is that. Since then never gone back to this restaurant.

Granted I know it’s Mothers Day and yes all places are busy but I did a phone order and the lady on the other end at the time repeated my order back THREE TIMES to make sure it was correct. Yes it was correct! When I got there; I had to wait another 15min for my order to be ready and when I got home my order was WRONG! I said Cake noodle beef broccoli. I go home and there’s no cake noodle… I called to let them know that my order was wrong and they offered to change it but the damage was done and my family was already digging in and what, wait another 30min for my another order? No thanks. Please fix your communication skills. I repeated myself three times for nothing.

It was good, took my mom for a early mothers day dinner due to me being busy on mothers day. Food is great service is so so due to a big party happening in 1 hour from arriving. They were getting ready for da party. People had left due to no tables available, its a small place. Only 4 stars cause service kinda sucked. I think and hope its better when there is no party.

Had some dinner here yesterday food was good! We ordered vegetable fried rice, vegetable lo mein, and spring rolls. I enjoyed my whole meal even got seconds. The service was great wish I got the woman’s name that helped me with my order but she got busy helping another customer. My order was finally ready another woman gave me my order I asked her for condiment soy sauce and chili paste, I asked her for a few more chili paste cause I like my food spicy and she looks at me all weird says something in her language to another employee, not cool. Really dislike that, makes one feel uncomfortable. Hope this is being read by the business check your employees, before they disrespect the wrong folk. Enjoy!

Always busy there, so never had the chance to dine in. Usually do a take out. But their walnut shrimp and cake noodle with chicken is yummy!

Been here many times, food doesn’t disappoint. Cant recall any bad service. Food comes out hot, water doesn’t taste have that metal/​chemical aftertaste, plates and utensils are clean. Not bad for Chinese fast food. One of the best on the island. Prices are reasonable, portions are more than expected. Quite excellent for big crowds. They’re accommodating and take out is just as good. Always come here for their Singapore rice noodle with curry flavor. Stick to the classics and customer favorites. It’s worth it to try this place at least once even if you’re not into Chinese food.

Love love love this place. My sis and I always go to this place and order chicken fried rice and shrimp walnut. Shrimp walnut is always the best! A week ago we ordered here with a friend and we ordered our usual and half duck with the bun! Omg best duck and bun I ever tasted. Very flavorful, bun was fresh, and the duck meat was full. Not like other places where it’s just a piece of skin and bone! The most def to order is duck with bun and honey walnut shrimp!!!

I would love to give this place more stars… but the food is mediocre and a bit greasy. I ordered the honey walnut shrimp, and there’s more batter than there is shrimp. I am spoiled with the food in San Francisco, as they offer more healthier options. I do give an extra star for commendable effort though! This place was slammed and the staff was still very friendly and accommodating. We were given free rice because of the long wait time during Chinese New Year, and the prices are very reasonable for the portions.

We usually come here. Food is good. But today being that it’s Chinese New Year, we left with our first bad experience here. We got seated for a party of 5 and got our water right away. Shortly after it got really busy. 2 or 3 parties were served before us! I had to ask if we could order. Who asks to be served?! There’s a man manning the front who knew we weren’t being served and gave not 1 rip about us. Servers passed our table numerous times and not one acknowledge us at all! We’re sitting there for 45 mins with just fuckin cup of water! We stood up and left now dining in at taste of Hong Kong in Ewa. I get that restaurants get busy but atleast acknowledge your damn customers not pass by like we’re not there! Anyway Kung hee fat Choy!

Waitress was really nice to sit us down of a party of 7 ½ gave us our menus and water pretty quick. Food was delicious we had to ask for refills on the water and a pot of hot tea. The food came out pretty quick but it wasn’t hot as it should be if it was jus coming off of the stove. Did I forget to mention that we was only given two small square tables 7 chairs and had to ask for a high chair for the baby. Maybe if we were all children we would of fit on them two tables comfortably but we were 6 adults and 6 year old that tried not to bump on each other while we ate. The baby in the high chair had no complaint about space. The food was fine but there was no room for them to be placed on the table. So the waitress gave it to one of us so we could make room for it. Waitress never came to check to see if we needed more water till it was time to pay only because more customers came in and asked how long is the wait. They were quick to give us the bill and rush us out as if we were late to get out of town.

Just had our dinner with my co-​worker and I ordered the new one they have which is the baby back ribs. They made it in different way, it was good though I still prefer the grilled one. My co-​worker ordered steamed fish, the good part is she requested with black beans which is way better. it’s not on the menu but you can always request to add black beans. One of the crew is very nice and attentive. Overall 2 thumbs up.

It’s always busy here so make sure you come during non peak hours! We always come here at least once a month. My dad loves their Black bean clam soup and their lemon chicken when it’s made soft. Besides those, they have a good selection of food and this is our favorite Chinese Restaurant to go to.

It’s pretty standard fast food.
The people are nice and I liked the service. Generous portions. Clean.
Everything you want from fast food.
Rice was average. But the meat was okay. I want to see what other Chinese restaurants are around.

First time trying the take-​out at Kunia. Not bad at all, but it could be a little better.
1. Beef and Broccoli with Steamed Rice. Very delicious. Well prepared. Perfect balance of sauce, veggies, and beef. However a little too much rice, and the rice was a bit dry.
2. Sweet-​n-​Sour Chicken and Chicken Fried Rice. Very good. Good portions of meat and savory rice.
3. General Tso Chicken and Fried Sauce. The sauce was good but was not spicy at all.
4. Chicken Lo Mein. A bit dry and not particularly in favor of the micro skinny noodles.
5. Egg Rolls. These were fantastic. Some of the best I’ve had.
All-​n-​all, I’d recommend and go back to Kunia Chinese Restaurant.

On Father’s Day we went to eat at this restraunt. The food was heavy with maggots. We also got 1 cockroach leg. Not sure which dish it came from. Total turn off. If you eat here, be sure to inspect the food.

It’s a lot cleaner than a lot of other Chinese restaurants I have been to and the food is very delicious. Mind you, the food also comes in large portions so it’s best to share.
My best friend and I came here after a long day at work. The garlic chicken here is AMAZING and the cake noodle is so yummy. We had a few plates even though it was just us two and all the items we ordered came out very quickly. We waited less than ten minutes for the servers to give us our food.
My only itch was that our server was very attentive when we got there, but seemed to give her attention elsewhere when we were ready to leave. My best friend and I waited ten minutes for our check. Everyone else around us had their checks delivered to their tables, but we had to go to the cashier to even claim our check.
We’re not sure how they missed us since we sat on a 2 person table directly across from the cash register. It was clear we were done by the abundance of empty plates.
The food is definitely good, but I feel as though the service could use a bit of improvement. Also, I’m not sure about other Chinese restaurant diners, but I always look forward to the fortune cookie at the end. Our cookies were stale and soggy. :(

Did a pick up order. I called about an hour and a half before to order. The person who answered the phone was knowledgeable and knew prices for catering, etc quickly.
When I picked up my order, they took a little while to find it. However, it was ready on time.
The food was good. Catering wise, they give more than enough. Small pan feeds at least 20 – 25 people.
Restaurant located near Denny’s in Kunia below Walmart. The parking lot is confusing, but there are quite a bit of stalls since you can go up a ramp to park in the other stalls on the upper levels.
