Heritage is one of our favorite date night spots in Wake Forest We have always had great food and friendly service. When it is warm out you can enjoy your meal and a bottle of wine on the patio overlooking the golf course. The fried green tomato with pimento cheese appetizer is our favorite(portion is only big enough for two) along with the steaks, fried chicken, and meatloaf. The menu is a fancier take on southern food. At times the food hasn’t been completely speedy, but for us that is not a negative as we want to relax and enjoy our wine and meal. This is also our favorite annual Valentine’s Day spot. They have music and a romantic atmosphere on Valentine’s Day.

The food is delicious here and the views of the course & lake are beautiful! This chef is creative and seems to always hit on seasonal dishes to perfection combined with southern traditional favorites that would please anyone. Best grits in town!

A decent but not great spot– I go for the golf course views.

Excellent service. The food is very well done. The burger was very good, the bone in pork chop was fantastic, the fried chicken was excellent as well. We will definitely be going back.

The fried chicken is amazing– 2 generous boneless medallions perfectly crisped on a bed of seasoned mashed potatoes and fresh green beans!

Have been here twice for Easter brunch, and a couple of times for drinks and food at the bar. Our first Easter brunch experience was 2 years ago, and if I was Unilocaling then, it would have gotten 5 stars. The food was awesome, the service was great, and the setting very beautiful, right on the golf course. The fried chicken is to die for, as are the biscuits. Everything was just perfect, and we decided that whenever we were in town for Easter, this would be our go to spot. The couple of times I have gone for drink and food at the bar have been great too. Nothing special about their bar food, but the bartender can make a great margarita. This is a great spot for drinking some yummy drinks outside on their beautiful porch. The 3 stars comes in after yesterday’s Easter brunch. I was so excited for the amazing fried chicken, but to our dismay, no fried chicken on the buffet. WAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH. There of course were plenty of options to chose from, we just had our heart set on that damn chicken. The choices were: eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes, blueberry pancakes, shrimp and grits, salmon in a lobster leek sauce, chicken cutlets in a mushroom gravy, penne with sundried tomatoes, carved ham and roast beef, fruit salad and blt salad. I tasted almost everything, and everything tasted good(the roast beef was amazing), but nothing was hot. Everything was luke warm. I understand it is a buffet, and the food won’t be piping hot, but it should be hotter than luke warm. The desserts were a let down as well, and since we were sitting right next to the dessert table, I know others felt the same way. There were mini cheesecakes, mini peanut butter pies, and coconut pie. That was it. I am not a huge dessert person at all, but when I am splurging on brunch like this, I want some kind of awesome dessert. We left completely satisfied, and I think if I didn’t have visions of fried chicken swimming in my head, I would have been less sad about the desserts. Overall, we will be back, and again, if you are looking for a great outdoor seating restaurant that doesn’t overlook a parking lot, this is your place! Huge porch overlooking the lovely golf course.

We are fans of this place and would like to put it into our Wake Forest restaurant rotation more often, however, the menu is limited and we had stopped going for a bit because of an allergic reaction I had to pesto(which I was not aware was on a sandwich) and the staff did nothing, just brought us our check and boxed up our food. As if I would want to take a sandwich home that caused my throat to nearly close up. Thank God there was a nurse in the dining area and helped me out with some benadryl she had until I could be treated. We have noticed that the staff has had changes since then, thankfully. Nevertheless, after months away, we returned this past weekend. This place has a great setting, on the golf course of Heritage, which in my opinion blows away any view from anywhere on the Wakefield golf course. We dined outside and had a WONDERFUL server who brought us up to speed on the menu changes and suggested a wine and beer for me and hubs. She carefully explaned the menu to us as I have to be very careful since they do not specify intricate parts of their recipes on the menu. I didn’t want another pesto with tree nuts scare. We settled for burgers, simple but oh so yummy! This place really is great because of it’s location. Inside Heritage, it is a little hidden gem. They do not do much advertising so unless you know about it, you’ve probably never been. It is open to the public, not just for members, and has a great bar which we have frequented on many occasions. We decided to give 1250 Heritage another chance into our rotation. Let’s hope there are no emergencies to knock it back out. :)

This is an excellent club restaurant open to the public at the Heritage Golf Club. I went today for Sunday Brunch after hitting on the driving range. I had a chicken salad croissant with homemade potato chips… best meal I have had there yet! During any other times during the week they have specials, which are always fantastic and cheaper than the menu items. The only complaint I would have is the waitress… we have had her twice and she is always hurried and inattentive. Other than that, it’s a great place for lunch! Make sure to order the sweet tea…
