I absolutely love the food here. I’ve been eating here for years and I love watching the business bro. The staff are always friendly and accommodating. Love the price point as well I can’t say enough good things about this place

This restaurant got my sister’s call-in order wrong. We got there 30 minutes after placing the phone order. When we got there, we had to wait an additional 30 minutes for them to make the order over because they got it wrong… and my sister STILL didn’t get a discount on her food. The food smelled great — I’m sure it tasted fine — she didn’t complain(and we’re from up North, so at the risk of sounding immodest, I will say that we know what good food should taste like. Forgive me, but a lot of restaurant food in the south lacks flavor. Up North, you get the best of the best, especially when it comes to «ethnic» cuisine). However, looking around the restaurant while we were waiting for her order, it was clear that the restaurant was understaffed. This place is sorely in need of a restaurant consultant because their service is lacking. The only reason they probably get so much business is because it has the tastiest Asian cuisine out of all the Asian restaurants in this area… which does NOT mean their food tastes amazing — it may just be the best out of a bad situation. If I were you, I would go elsewhere to get better service.

I have been to this location several times. The spring and summer rolls are excellent. Then peanut sauce that normally accompanies these succulent and simple foods is just great. I have ordered sushi numerous times, although there is only one sushi chef which means a little bit of a wait, the end product is almost always satisfying! The servers are very knowledgeable and precise. She is a bit eager to check up on you. But hey that makes great service I suppose. A wide variety of dishes that span multiple Asian cultures. Overall it’s a great place!

Too salty food. Spicy basil with shrimp has too much bamboo shoot. It smells strong. Drunken noodle is ok, but salty.

I tried calling this place at 7 pm on a Saturday night for take out and the phone rang, no lie for 5 minutes straight with no answer. How you can run a business like this is baffling.

Food is great and so are the prices. Not your typical small Asian bistro — the food never seems greasy.

To be fair, I’ve been at this«bistro» more than once(at least once a year) and I keep forgetting why I don’t come here as often even though it’s only a few miles from my house. While the food is good(definitely not the best), but considering what my options are around Wake Forest, it will do just OK — that’s about it, nothing worth bragging about and going out of my way to eat here on a special occasion. Tonight, a Tuesday night the family decided to eat here and it should have been a red-flag when the door was propped open(no AC). But since we were all starving, we decided to stay, plus the food smelled so good despite the humidity inside the restaurant. The second flag should have been that it took over 5 minutes(6:20PM) for a waitress to acknowledge that we were even sitting down. So instead of just ordering our drinks, we ordered drinks + entrée; we figured if it took them that long to ask for our drink — can only imagine how long the food would take to come out, but then again — we only ordered the basic: chicken fried rice, hibachi teriyaki, honey seared chicken, and Saigon noodles. The four entrees should have taken no more than 10 minutes — but it did, over 30 minutes(6:50PM)!!! When we arrived, we were the first table, but as the 30 minutes passed, the place started to fill. The two waitresses they had were running around because the crowd started to come in by 6:30PM, in the mean time the manager(I’m not sure if she’s the owner too) kept answering the phones and taking orders. So here’s where the problem; the place was full and orders are coming from diners and from the phones as well. To me, it seems the phone orders are backing up the kitchen, which then results for longer wait time for people who actually went out their way to dine at this bistro. If the owners of this review is reading this, understand that if you want to run a take-out business, focus on that. But if you have customers inside your restaurant and are waiting more than 10 minutes for their food that should not take that long, then customers will start to leave(and there were a few that did tonight). Finally, if there is a group and are all eating together; entrees should all come out at the same time, not one 15 minutes earlier than the others, and when it comes out it needs to be hot especially if calls for it. Cold entrée when customer is expecting hot isn’t quality meal — and this is exactly what we got on two of our orders. To finish this novel, don’t bother talking to the Sushi chef, as he either 1. can’t understand you 2. ignoring you 3. flat out rude. By no means am I harsh because he is Asian — I am too, but acknowledge that you have a customer and they will always need attention while dining in; whether, it is your job or not — it’s the reflection of the business. Spoke to the Manager before we left, and explained to her what I just wrote here. We will not be coming back to this place because it is the same lousy service every time we come here. I will drive 25 minutes to another restaurant(across from Chuck-e-cheese on Capital Blvd) and enjoy my meal and the service they provide; granted their half the size of Asian Bistro — but they value their customers and cater to their needs and food is EVENBETTER.

I ordered take out a few weeks back. I chose this place because they deliver(unlike) the restaurant near my home. Food was good, a little pricey but good. If you order just be patience with the young lady who takes the orders. Will try again

I am a fan of a good sushi roll, and an even bigger fan when they are BOGO or BOGO50%, which is what Asian Bistro offers. I stopped by one day for lunch and picked up my sushi rolls, and noticed a customer had ordered Phở. Not only was it a huge bowl but it looked so appetizing. I stated to the clerk that I would definitely be a return customer and order Phở along with some more items on the menu. I love the fact that they have a wide variety of items to choose from. Sushi, Thai, Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese, etc. Great and friendly staff! I will be returning!!!

We get delivery a few times a month. Always delicious! Crunchy shrimp roll sushi and orange beef are favorites in our house. If you haven’t tried it, do it! You won’t be disappointed!

Gracious, courteous & knowledgable staff! I specifically came in for Phö since the only Phö is in Raleigh not to be found in WF … Look no further Wake Forestians! Phö found here! I had the beef Phö which not only had the traditional sliced raw beef but, meatball AND brisket… Next time I try the chicken since the diet prefers a small red meat ration & extra points since this is a Phö place that actually serves sakes /wines /beers unlike the Phö places in Raleigh. They’d gain the last star if it had real seating /restaurant feel unlike a golden dragon Chinese take-out in a strip mall accouterments they have now. All other aforementioned kudos make up for the mall rat décor.

Absolutely love their Mongolian beef. Very good food. Only drawback is sometimes the parking lot is so busy that it’s hard to find a spot. But, food is worth the hunt for the spot! Plus, delivery is an option. Lunch portions are very nice and priced around $ 7.50 for a good amount of food.

Food was delicious. We had crab Rangoon for a starter which was delicious. For our main dishes I ordered Saigon Street Noodles and my son had Sesame Chicken. Very fresh and their plate presentation is wonderful. Both dishes were very flavorful and perfect sized for lunch. Even my son said it was yummy, which he’s picky. I definitely recommend and will be back the next time we are in Raleigh.

fusion of different south east asian food styles. I think that the menu tends a little to Thai, but very tasty no doubt.

Needed to find some good Chinese/Thai food in Wake Forest. This restaurant was one that was nearby and had some good reviews from Unilocal. I placed a takeout order and I decided to try the Pad Thai(I always try this at different restaurants) and the Saigon Street Noodles(recommended by several other Unilocal reviewers). First for the non-food related stuff. I picked up my order around noon Friday which was not a good idea if I was looking for parking. There are several businesses in a small area and parking was difficult. However, this is not a problem with the restaurant, just the area it sits in. Next time, I’ll order later in the day. My order was ready as promised and accurate. The lady at the counter where I paid my bill was pleasant and had good customer service skills. Food-wise, the Pad Thai was ok, there were a few shrimps and some chicken and beef, but the quantities of each could have been more for the price. The flavor was similar to Pad Thai dishes I’ve had at other restaurants, not outstanding, but not bad either. The Saigon Street Noodles on the other hand were very good. Shredded beef, with lemon grass sauce, green salad, bean sprouts, rice noodles, with a vinaigrette sauce topped with spring rolls, cilantro, fried onion and roasted peanuts(taken from the menu). The sauce was on the side which was great as it allows you to use as much or as little as you like. The flavors were very fresh and the dish was not heavy. The veggies provided a nice crunch to the beef(which was nicely marinated). There seemed to be a lot of beef in the dish which was a treat. The spring roll was fried, but not greasy, very tasty. I could have eaten two orders to this! Overall a good experience, I will go back and get the noodles again along with trying another dish, maybe the dumplings or Mongolian beef???

Asian Bistro is a solid place if you’re in the mood for Thai. Although the atmosphere is nothing special, this spot more than makes up for it with their food. That being said, I wasn’t blown away so I’m not sure if I’d go out of my way to return, but if I’m ever getting a craving and I’m nearby, Asian Bistro would be a great choice. Atmosphere: To be honest, judging from the exterior, you’d think that this place would have a nice interior, but it’s just.basic. There’s nothing wrong with that though! It’s a simple layout with a bar and a number of tables – the restaurant itself is fairly small actually. It’s a quaint spot – nothing really fancy. Thai Iced Tea: The usual problem with Thai Iced Tea is that it’s too sweet. Most places load it with sugar, but I was delighted to find that Asian Bistro’s option was very refreshing without being too sweet. Drinking it while eating a fairly spicy meal makes it even better – a real treat, I’d definitely recommend. Drunken Noodles with Beef: My main dish was great! I’m Korean so spice is always nice, but be warned, the Drunken Noodles is a pretty spicy dish. It was a mix of thick rice noodles, beef, bell peppers, onions, etc. The noodles stuck together a lot, but that wasn’t really a big deal. Overall, a great savory, delicious dish. Cost: I came for the lunch special which hovered around $ 8 for the main dish – an excellent, fair price for what you’re getting. Service: Service was prompt, friendly, and attentive. Overall, Asian Bistro is a great spot for a quick meal. I wouldn’t recommend this place for dates – more like a place to grab solid Thai with a group of friends.

Delicious. Nice atmosphere very relaxing. Excellent service. My kids ordered the sesame chicken and loved it. My husband enjoyed the magnolian beef and spring rolls. The rice was very good. I didn’t like my dish(Orange Beef) because the sauce was too overpowering with orange and had a super thick gritty texture. The orange glaze needs tweaked. Overall great experience. I’ll go back and try something different next time.

Not sure what I was thinking when I previously reviewed this amazing gem. The previous Saigon bistro was not cutting it, but with a new name and a cleaner look Asian bistro is living up to their name. After being here several times Toon the sushi chef«yes that is his name» has expertise our desires and is more than willing to accommodate any special requests if he can do so. He is that awesome. We have tried many of the appetizers and never have they flawed us. Everything here exceeds our expectations.
