New Coffee Spot in Downtown Wake Forest! This place has Potential to be something different for Downtown Wake Forest, as in a Hipper Spot, if Wake Forest is ready for that… This is where the Cool People would probably want to hang out(Price is RIGHT too!)! Is this place Hipper than Miles Davis? Are you kidding and is that fair? NO! So what! What do you want? This is not Charlottesville and it is not Brahville(though on certain days just after Lunch)… Bring a German to English Dictionary or a map of Deutschland or some Postcards from Romania and you’ll probably get some conversation going… If you want to be left alone, I’m not sure what to tell you, People are friendly! Here, maybe the Friendliest place in Wake Forest! Enough about the reputation of WF! About the Coffee My plan was to talk about each of the Coffees and rate one or two as personal favorites! As long as I visit Wake Forest! I’m looking for Coffee that«Tastes like Dessert» Strong AND Sweet, Smooth, NOT bitter, Nor burnt and with a low acid taste! After having the Nitro Coffee AGAIN(I’m bad about getting the Same thing every time)! I may be sticking… Nitro! Nitro Cold Brew grabbed me and has kept me, not sure I will get to a Third(different) Coffee, I did check out the Konga Konga Ethiopian Origin Beans — Pour-0ver This was my second cup and though not as Intriguing as the Nitro(I’m still a novice Coffee drinker and probably did not add enough Sugar) this one still has much of what I want in a Coffee! UN-burned UN-biter and NON-acidic! Great Start! Tea Rooibos ! Delicious! I did not notice this one last time though maybe because I was looking for RED! This was under the Herbal Section. Revolution Taco Sausage«Breakfast» Taco ! Hey this was Fantastik! On the spicy Side though not too Spicy for my eBay Bride! Tenderloin(Beef) Breakfast Taco! NOT Spicy! Delicious! Oh, this was my Third one and it may win over the Sausage Cookies Where did they get these? These are Incredible! «Artwork» hanging on the Walls is Framed Coffee Bean Sacks

Love this place and the people working there. It just opened and it will still grow but the coffee hands down the best in Wake Forest.

While there’s still some bumps to smooth out, Back Alley Coffee Roasters is a legitimate«third wave» coffee offering in Wake Forest. Opening just this week, Back Alley offers freshly roasted beans and house made pourovers. The downsides — the space is small, if pleasantly and rustically decorated, and if there’s one crying kid in the place(there was) you won’t have a pleasant or relaxing coffeehouse experience. I cut my time in there short because of parents who apparently don’t care that their screaming infant is ruining everyone else’s day and can’t be bothered to do anything about it. They’re still working on a full opening, so all beverages are served in paper cups and only pourovers are available. The upsides — the coffee is well roasted and sourced, and there is a nice range to choose from. I particularly enjoyed the Ethiopian natural process pourover made by a pleasant and friendly barista. If you’re in the neighborhood, or hankering for some good beans, come on through and get some.
