We absolutely love China Wok! Their dishes are ALL super fresh and on point. They are not bland like some of the Chinese places are, on the contrary, they are very tasty. We recommend their Shrimp with Broccoli, Mongolian beef, and honey chicken.

I saw the recommendation from a transplanted New Yorker and decided to give it a try. I was pleasantly surprised by the sesame chicken. it wasn’t a rock hard like in some other restaurants I’ve been to in the area. the chicken was soft and tender and the sauce had a good flavor. I would go there again to try another dish when I’m in the area.

This is really good takeout Chinese. Ive frequented this place several times since they opened and find the quality very good. Ive enjoyed every dish Ive ordered from here. The restaurant is always clean and tidy, the staff is always friendly and helpful, and the food is quality. All in all, very good. My go to Chinese take out place.

For a hole-​in-​the-​wall Chinese takeout I absolutely give it 5 stars! The service was super friendly and the food delicious. I especially loved the vegetables that accompanied the dishes — not the usual few spears of soggy broccoli and carrots but big, still crispy chunks of bok choy, fresh mushrooms, and other goodies. The dipping sauce for the fried dumplings was thickened just enough that it coated them and very flavorful. As a Chef with 30 years in kitchens I was loving the clean, open kitchen and did not see a single questionable food handling practice. Can’t wait to go back.

I had Sweet and Sour Chicken with Pork Fried Rice. It was good. But that was it, just good. I’m looking for excellent Chinese. Any ideas?
They were friendly and served my order up quickly. Some tables for dining in, but I would recommend take-​out. I’d go back, but I’d really like to try somewhere different.

This is only my second review on Unilocal.We moved to Wake Forest almost 2 years ago and I have been looking for some decent Chinese food. I have tried almost 8 different restaurants and China Wok is my new favorite. The chicken with mixed vegetables and garlic sauce is the best i have ever had (asian food is my all time favorite). I hope I can save someone some trial and error.

I went to China Wok after going to another nearby Chinese restaurant where I made a simple special request: vegetable fried rice with curry sauce and tofu that I’ve done before there. I told the other place that I ordered it there before. They asked me when. I answered ‘the last time I was in.’ They said how long ago? I answered a couple of months. They asked more questions. Terrible. I cancelled my order there.
Okay, that’s the setup for my coming to China Wok. I made the same order and didn’t explain the background. They just took the order without a single question. I then told them what happened at the other place. The fellow taking my order told me that if they have the ingredients, they are happy to make whatever I want. THAT is what customer service is all about.
As it turns out, their food was just as good as their service. We will drive just a little further to get our Chinese food here from now!

As a transplanted New Yorker, I think I know a thing or two about Chinese Take Out Food. I was prepared to be disappointed, but I came away liking this place. The General Tso Chicken was tender and tasty. Chicken Broccoli was a winner and I would recommend the Crispy Beef special. While iffy sounding, it was a good take on General Tso’s Beef. You won’t be disappointed.

I really like this place. My favorite dish is the phenix. It is general tso plus shrimp. The flavor is awesome. The amount of food you get is insane. I always have two meals when I order from them. I do believe the pricing is fair.

I have ordered take out from this place several times over the last year and absolutely love it. The have the best Crab Rangoons around.
I would highly recommend that if you give it a try and plan on eating there dress on the cool side as it is always got but other than that the place is always clean and the staff is always friendly and they have never messed up an order.
