What you would expect of a strip mall Chinese take out. It’s flavorful and good for take out. Nothin to outbid the ordinary here. The crab Rangoon is good, as is the orange flavor beef. The fried rice is actually pretty delicious.

Well let me say we used to love this place but the last few visits our food hasn’t been the same. Tonight was the final straw, HAIR in my tofu with vegetables. I contacted them right away and explained the situation, I told them that I would not return this evening as it takes 30 minutes with the bridge closure and could they refund that item over the phone(paid with cc). She said she didn’t know how to do it and no one else there did. I asked her to contact the cc machine company so they could give her the steps(20 years in retail I knew this was possible). She said she was busy and to call back at 8, I told her I just gave her my cell phone and asked her if she would call me back when they slowed down. Needless to say she said THENHOLDON! After 5+ years of going there I will not return again.

The story: On the hunt for some good Chinese food after church one day, we looked up(on Unilocal,of course) Chinese in the area and found one nearby in Wake Forest(Heritage area). The area: There is plenty of parking(part of a small plaza). The food: My boo and I shared a hot and sour soup first. There’s is loaded with mushrooms and chicken — they don’t skimp! It was not too spicy, and not too sour. I added a few tablespoons of soy sauce to kick it up a notch(because I thought it was a tad bland). But it was good after that. I got my favorite: General Tso’s Chicken. I felt like this was going to be a good experience when I saw one the ladies take the fresh chicken, throw it in batter and then put it in the fryer. Fresh! When it was all done, I got a plate of(very) hot food. The sauce was the right amount of sweet and a little bit of heat. I enjoyed it muchly. I knew the GTC was going to be too hot, so I took a bite of the chicken fried rice first. It was great CFR! It actually had this grilled flavor to the rice that really set it apart. Summary: It was fast and fresh and had great a flavor. I will add this place to my regular circuit for good Chinese!

Wasn’t too busy on Friday evening so order was ready fast. Good service with a pleasant attitude. Good Vegetable egg foo young. Quite a large dinner portion. So far, best I’ve eaten in the 4 places I’ve tried since moving to NC

I like this place, but I have heard that other tenants in this plaza have seen employees cutting up food outside by the back door, so I have to put that image out of my mind when eating. There was a brief time when the food wasn’t so great, but it had been pretty good as of lately, possibly new management. It is one of the better chinese restaurants in Wake Forest, at least in the Heritage area.

We have ordered from Panda King several times as it is near our home. Service is always fast, the kitchen is wide open and very clean and the dining room is better than average for a take-out place. We always call in our orders of General Tso’s chicken, crab Rangoon, low mein, fried rice, and eggrolls and have found the food to be consistent. Typically we find Chinese take-out in NC to be bland, but not Panda King. It’s a gem.

This is the only Chinese restaurant I will go to. This place has great food and amazing service. Even when they are really busy it doesn’t take that long to get food. They have great prices especially for lunch! The staff is very nice. Even though there are Chinese restaurants closer to me I would rather make the trip here to have good food.

This is definitely some of the best Chinese take-out you can have. Served hot and quick… I plan to make this a regular.

We stopped in to Panda King for a quick bite after getting a haircut next door. I was not really in the mood for Chinese food at the time, but my daughter insisted. I’m glad she did… Every dish we has was so unbelievably tasty! The Miso Soup had a depth of flavor that was just scrumptious. The fried dumplings had more of a wonton noodle than the normally over-thick pastry and was really delicious. We also enjoyed a Chow Mai Fun that included lots of fresh cabbage and carrots… what a delight! Excellent fresh food and very nice service. The dining room is bright and clean. Panda King will definitely be our stop of choice when we’re in the area!

We have gotten take out here for a long time. Mostly for its convenient location. When the food is good it’s really good, but its inconsistent. It can be hit or miss. It is good for a quick cheap lunch tho! And more tables than most take out joints

The food was pretty good. The portions were good. I didn’t find a wow factor with this place. I would get takeout here again.

I had their egg fu yung. It tasted amazing. Vegetable chow mein was good too. They include these dry fried noodles with your meal, though, that taste terrible. Otherwise, I would definitely order again. One thing they need to change is their delivery policy also — they DON’T deliver!

Best dumplings around! Thin, delicate and yummy with generous filling accompanied with a spicy, soy, ginger dipping sauce. Perfection.

Great service, quality ingredients, and the $ 4.75 lunch special make this place worth visiting. I have yet to be disappointed by any dish and their General Tso’s chicken is especially good. The dining room is small and might get crowded at lunch or you can get your order to go.

This place at first glance looks like the airport Chinese food place. It is far from that, it’s one of the best places in the area. Don’t let the grab and go décor fool you. They make a quality fresh product. It’s cooked fresh and tastes excellent. It is our go to place. They do take out very well and have a huge variety of flavors and dishes. Very inexpensive as well. Dine in is available but it is counter service.

Panda King is THE best Chinese take-out restaurant in Wake Forest NC! They have a huge selection and I have never been disappointed. The food is always freshly prepared, yet quickly done, just the right spice/seasonings and the service is extremely friendly. My favorite is the Beef Lo Mein and some of the best we have had is General Tsao’s Chicken, Hunan Beef, and Shrimp and Broccoli! Great Egg Rolls and awesome Hot and Sour Soup! You can either place your order to go or there are a few seats for you to dine in — highly recommend!
