Let me start out by saying that I friggin’ love Goodberry’s! The story: This is where I go, hands down, to get the best ice cream(frozen custard style) in the Wake Forest/North Raleight area! Hot summer nights are a definite to come here and treat my lovely wife to a cold, tasty delight! #bars The goods: We usually stick to vanilla and add the following: Almonds, chocolate sauce, brownie bites, peanut butter, and some sort of red berry/fruit. The result: a great blend of salty, savory, and sweet! They’re great to share or to hog and cram down your throat as fast as you can(resulting brain freeze may ensue)! Summary: I’ll go back time and time again. It’s definitely my #1 in the area!

I’ve been seeing this place every time I drive up that way and didn’t know what it was. So I stopped after dinner last week. There were about 100 people in line(no exaggeration) but the line moved fast. I ordered a «featured concrete» for the hell of it, which turned out to be some ice cream, some fruit, and some waffle all mixed in a bowl. I got the«mini» which was huge and about $ 4.50. God knows how many calories. I am afraid to see how big the«large» would be – a bucket? But it was good, and there was a sense of community among all these people standing in line. In large part I think that was caused by the ongoing lightening storm, and the collective concern that someone in line was going to get blasted.(Everybody«ooed» after each big thunder, it was kind of funny.) I don’t think the ice cream is nearly as good as Stone Cold Creamery, for instance, but it was plenty good and kind of fun to hang out with the locals eating Goodberry’s. There were old people, teenagers, pre-teens, tots, all different groups. .. I will definitely take my guests there from out of town.

Love me some Goodberry’s!!! I have grown up on this stuff. If you get a craving in the middle of winter(they are usually open) at 10:30 at night there is nothing else to do but wrap your butt up in some warm clothes and grab some Goodberry’s. Definitely in the summer thought we stayed at this place, so did everybody else. There is seating outside so you don’t have to be in a rush. The call out what you got and flip it upside down, it’s like a Goodberry’s badge of honor! Cheesy but I always loved that. Now frozen custard is not for everyone, I guess. I almost can’t have anything else. It is thicker to me and much more creamy. I also feel like the flavor is more intense or concentrated. They make it in house and you see it come out of the machine right behind the counter. Go with an awesome group of friends on a summer night no one is in a hurry and hang out. Goodberry’s is an institution so sit back and take it all in. Yes it’s ice cream, well frozen custard but so full of memories and flavor that it makes me smile and take a pause, tear! LOL! I hope you go and enjoy this place just as much as I do! Happy freezing!

What’s not to like about Goodberry’s? Ice cream is so creamy and good. I love that they actually have the flavor of the day, makes me want to go there more on certain days. I do wish that they had Jamocha everyday, that is my absolute favorite. They never have it when I am available tho lol. This location is pretty nice, been going here since high school, never had a bad experience.

I am sorry but Goodberry’s has gone downhill over the years. They seem to be using cheaper ingredients. I always get a black and white milkshake when I go. This last time I actually took the shake back. It was horrible and had an artificial taste to it. The employee that was working told me that it was the chocolate syrup. He told me that they had recently changed to a cheaper syrup and that everyone had been complaining about it. The company was trying to save money in the colder months and to come back when it gets warmer because they would buy the better syrup then. So much for loyalty during the cold months. I got my money back and went got a shake at Chick-fil-a. At least they are consistent and luckily they are located next door.

Goodberry’s is just like the name says, good. Not great, not bad. The frozen custard is creamy, cold, and served from a soft serve machine. By limiting the flavors to 2(vanilla and the flavor of the day). They say you can create over a billion different flavors by adding mix-ins, and I suppose it’s true. I had the vanilla and it takes a lot like cake batter. Real cake batter, not cake batter ice cream. It’s very good. Rich and creamy. I haven’t tried the flavor of the day or the mix-in’s. But I’m sure they’re ok. Not a bad place to stop by. This one is across from Home Depot and next to a Chik-fil-A. If you can stay out of the same-sex marriage political rallies next door, you’ll be fine.

Any ice cream place that doesn’t get it delivered on a truck is ok with me. That’s what you get here! You can watch the machines spit the ice cream out as it’s made, toppings usually are very fresh too.

I don’t know what kind of crack my sister and I were smoking last night because it was about 29 degrees and what felt like freezing rain was coming down. Yet, we decided to head on over to Goodberry’s for frozen custard? Sister: man, we always pass by this place. what is it? Me: they must sell burgers and some frozen yogurt crap Sister: I want to try it. Me: Ugh, so not in the mood. I’ll go with you but hurry up, it’s cold bro. I know custard. It’s delicious and fattening. Frozen custard? Never tried it. Yet, I still wasn’t inspired to order one for myself. My sister orders herself a Brownie Sundae. They put quite a few heaping scoops of Vanilla custard, layered a hot gooey brownie in between, lathered it up in hot fudge, and topped it off with a truckload of whip cream and a cherry. 2 people can definitely share a sundae and they run about $ 5.49 «Looks good» I said through my teeth chattering. I was starting to think maybe I should have ordered one. GoodBerry’s has no indoor tables. You cannot go inside at all. You place your order through a walk up window and there are patio tables available to sit. Great for summer, not so good during winter. So if you’re ordering on a cold night like we did, be prepared to freeze a little. More cars started to pile in as we started to order. Apparently, we weren’t the only weirdos ordering on a cold night. It looks like Goodberry’s has a fan following. Long story short, by the time we got back to the car so my sister could enjoy her delicious dessert, I was starting to doubt not buying a sundae for myself. Once she let me try a spoonful, I completely regretted it. This was a brownie sundae on steroids. The brownie was warm and gooey, they used real hot fudge — none of that Hershey’s Syrup crap they use in other shops. Frozen custard is delicious, I dare say I like it better than regular ice cream. So if you have a sweet tooth or want to enjoy ‘just dessert’ with a special someone — go to GoodBerry’s! PS: read Adri T’s review to get schooled on other flavors they serve AND they don’t sell burgers or yogurt like I thought — just yummy frozen custard

Goodberry’s is known for great frozen custard. They have four flavors available each day. 1. Rotating Flavor of the Day — can be anything you could imagine. Check their website for a calendar 2. Vanilla 3. Chocolate 4. No Sugar Added Vanilla Each flavor is available plain, or as a backdrop for mixins. Their concept, unlike Coldstone’s, takes any toping and makes it into a concrete — sort of like a McFlurry or a Blizzard — if you will. However, the key factor here is that the frozen custard is so delish, that it is nothing like a McFlurry or a Blizzard — BC its soooo much better! If you have not had one — what are you waiting for — get on over there and get one! My favorite flavor — Pistachio! Yummay!
