Used to be a great place until it became a daycare/nail salon. I come to relax and get away from screaming kids not listen to them.

Davis Nails II in Waldorf next to Wawa. I am new to the area and have gone to 2 nails salons prior to this one. On a Monday at lunch I called and was able to walk in sit down and get waited on immediately! I have acrylic nails and my nails were fill-ins, Davis did the fill in shaped my nails and the amount of acrylic was perfect! I also received a Pedicure. Other salons pile it high on my nails and make my nails too wide and thick. My nails are beautiful, great fill in and design on nails, very professional look. The place is clean and relaxing atmosphere. I have found a place to call home for my nails and pedi!

I usually don’t write reviews, but I had the best experience at this nail salon. Kim was awesome! My nails & brows have never looked so amazing! They have an excellent polish selection, I’m an OPI only type of girl & they had every color you can imagine! Another poster mentioned the great ventilation, omg they didn’t lie! I forgot I was in a nail salon! I didn’t think I’d find such a nice salon like this in Waldorf… I am truly pleased!

Not happy with the outcome of my nails. I have to go back just to have them taken off. I have a huge green mark growing under my right pointer finger and Im pretty sure it’s an infection. It took my tech 1& ½ hours just to do my nails. I was not happy having to sit there just for him to keep starting over on my shellac color. it kept having bubbles on the gel and looked horrible not to mention that the filing of my nails were crooked. I was still charged full price. I was too pissed off to even deal with it then. I ran over on my time with my sitter and had to leave. They have TV’s on the walls but no volume? the pedicure chairs shake real bad and if you’re short be prepared to have the back of your skull kneaded on from the chair. they dont have a receptionist so when you walk in you have to round the wall just to wait for someone to acknowledge you. be prepared to shout across the room with your needed services. There’s only one quality tech there but he’s always booked and you get ignored if another tech is doing your nails. the atmosphere is nice and modern but the rest needs some serious work.

I love this nail salon. They are the best place to go in Charles County by far. I usually go to the one in La Plata and I make my appointments with Tracey or Hannah. If I go to the one in Waldorf I make my appointment with Davis. These three tech’s are the best and your nails will last without chipping or cracking for 2 – 3 weeks. I have been using Tracey and Davis for 6 years and Hannah for about a year. Any other place I have went to my nails just didn’t last long at all and I would have to go to Davis Nails to get them fixed. I consistenly go to Davis Nails every 2 – 3 weeks for my gel set and pedicure. The facility is clean and the people are always friendly. I would recommend making an appointment, because sometimes they get busy. Also if you want Davis(Waldorf), Tracey(La Plata), or Hannah(La Plata) you probably will not be able to get them by just walking in, because they are usually booked since they are the best. You will not be dissapointed going to Davis Nails. Again ask for Davis, Tracey or Hannah. They are the only ones I let touch my nails period.

So everybody’s entitled to a bad day, but this was really, really bad. I chose this salon based on the Unilocal reviews and my experiences with the Davis salon in La Plata. I arrived at noon — only two women getting pedicures and only two staff. Fine, I wasn’t in a rush — in fact I wanted to take my time and told them so. But not only were they short staffed, they had their two young children, who were at first watching TV, but eventually ended up screaming, yelling, pulling electric cords out of the wall and the gentleman doing my pedicure had to jump up and leave to scold his child and put him in time out in another room. Much wailing ensued. After that(many apologies, but no less noise) someone else came in. The gentleman rushed through the end of my pedi — and the result was horrible, streaky polish, messy. He told me to stay as long as I wanted to relax, but by then I just wanted out. He went to wait on the other customers. They charged me full price …

first time here, trying something new. the ride to bebe was too far. It was 9:30 and I had a meeting @ 11. they opened earlier than scheduled, a plus. the tech didn’t speak much English, a minus. Overall the pedicure was ok, technically. the massage chair was really shaky, rough and squeaky. probably won’t be back. This was no frills, no refreshments or magazines here. I must admit that when she was done my toes looked great.

I really like this place. Sometimes I’m not happy with the service, but because I go there so often, I expect to see people on their good and bad days. I read one review that spoke about Trish. Trish is awesome! Also, Vee and Kenny are the Greatest! I’ve heard great things about them all. Sometimes I walk in and they may greet with a smile or a tired look, but, they work hard! One bad experience I had was waiting an hour to have a pedicure started after arriving on time for an appointment. The owner apologized, didn’t seem very sincere but I didn’t care because the tech made up for it! I received one of the best feet/leg massages and I knew I would. So hey, they know me, I know them, and we both get what we want… that’s good business! Also, I can breathe in there!!! Some salons don’t have good ventilation, but Davis does. The setting is comfortable and the restroom is always clean!!! Yea for the restroom!

Still on the hunt for a nail place-I decided to try this one. My Tech name was Trish. All I got was a polish change on my toes, but she really put all her effort into it. She helped me pick a color and she was very friendly and great customer service skills. I told her I would definitely be back. SN: The Salon was clean. Nice atmosphere and it wasn’t too crowded. I think I have found a good spot to make my Pedi home.

Great mani/pedi for a reasonable price($ 35). I went on a Thursday afternoon when it was quiet. I was happy to see that they had plenty of colors to choose from. My manicurist paid very close attention to detail, which is a must for me, so I was pleased. I’m always paranoid about sanitation issues, so I wish that she was more consistent with cleaning the utensils; if that’s something that makes you nervous, make sure you speak up.

I went here one evening for a mani/pedi. Their salon is very nice, clean and the staff are very nice. I believe the lady who worked on me was Debbie. She was a nice lady and her customer service was impeccable. The only problem I had was with the quality of her work. I wasn’t extremely happy with the application of the nail polish. There were many times that I wanted to open my mouth and tell her to dip the nail polish wand back in the bottle instead of trying to dip it once and spread it ALLOVER the nail. There was no way it was enough of a coat. There were also several instances in which I had to ask her to go over the sides of my nails with paint which she forgot to go over?! I may go back and try some of the other technicians.

I walked in around 6PM and was taken immediately for a pedi/mani with Jackie. The surroundings were lovely and I noticed the wide variety of polish colors. In the spirit of the season, I chose a festive green for my nails and a dark blue for my toes. The space is new and the massaging chairs were great. Jackie offered me a bottle of water and gave my husband a Diet Pepsi. She asked me to choose my style of mani/pedi from a full list of choices. There was the basic fare, but there were also more luxurious options I chose the milk & honey pedicure and the basic manicure. I was thoroughly pleased with the results and there is no doubt that I will return and ask for Jackie when I can. Jackie wrapped my legs and hands in hot towels, massaged them with wonderful lotions, salts, and butters, and generally took great care of me. The basic mani is a mere $ 15 and the basic pedi, a scant $ 25, which I find very reasonable. The milk & honey pedi set me back $ 40, which might have been a little more than I’d have liked to pay, but it was worth it. While I was there, a couple came in and got pedis/manis at the same time. It was the man’s first mani/pedi and he said he’d definitely be back. A few things to note: Though they do accept credit cards, they don’t accept Discover(so have a VISA… I don’t know if they take MC). You cannot put the tip on your credit card, so take cash for tips. There are ATMs in the area and there’s a Wachovia around the corner.

Super fast! Great location and really relaxing atmosphere! The ladies there are great too! My niece even received a pedicure and they gave her free designs on her toes! :)
