I love this store! Massive selection of wine, diverse selection of liquor, and decent selection of beer. The store is very logically organized so it’s easy to find something you’re looking for — even if you don’t know what you’re looking for, ha.
All the workers I’ve met are super helpful and friendly, usually makes my day better just through their great customer service and attitudes! (The alcohol helps too.)

The owner also owns Rosewick Wine & Spirits in La Plata. I visited that particular store and the owner was extremely rude to me the minute I walked in the door. I guess if you have tattoos (or maybe because I am female) he does not appreciate the business. My husband asked why I still bought anything; I definitely will not be back. The La Plata store may be a nice store but between the excessive pricing and the rude owner, there are several other places to take your business to in Charles County.

They have an excellent selection of wines and liquors. Some of the liquors that you can only buy outside the states I have found here. They have wine tastings every Friday from 5 – 7. Sellers are very good a recommending wines and pairing them with food. The prices are fair. I haven’t noticed anything over priced.

I love coming to The Wine Shoppe! The employees and owner are friendly, pleasant and knowledgeable. If they don’t have the beverage you need in stock, they will order it for you. And, they have no problem with special orders. Love this place!

Extremely disappointed! Manager/owner would not sell me rare beer; told me he didn’t have it after selling it to my bf earlier that day (whom said they had more because he saw a plethora); when I told manager this he then said it was last one and they only sell to regulars (Wow!); I will never be back again nor my bf nor all my beer geek friends, plenty of other specialty shops out there– you lose big time sir!! Shame on you!

There is a good local wine selection but I wish it were just a little bigger.

Went there Saturday to pick up some Sangria and the price was higher than my local store so I ended up getting another wine. I saw two bottles of Carlos Rossi White Zin for $ 5.49 a piece. Saying, hmmmm… great deal. O M G, got home and opened them and wow… tasted just like a horrible vinegar mixture. Not happy at all. Going to attempt to take them back this evening and get my money back. Will not go here again.

We stopped in on our way to visit friends after leaving our expensive housewarming wine at home. I ask the staff to make a recommendation for a Pinot and chardonnay in $ 25-$ 30 range each. The unfriendly staff replied, «I don’t drink the stuff.» seriously? And you work in the Wine Shoppe? Bummer for us.

Ask and ye shall receive. Amazing, and I mean ridiculous selection of beers and wines. From obscure boutique, small batch brewers to the big 5 and a mind boggling selection of international beers as well. Also if you don’t see what you’re looking for just ask and the guys can order it for you at cost.
