We were seated with an impromptu party of 50+, which took up almost the entire room. Management told us, when asked if the party was planned, that«it wasn’t a private party». Needless to say they were loud. I could barely hear the person in front of me. Children screaming, running around the room. While their parents and other adults seemed to be actively trying to outdo their offspring in the volume department. Management would later come back in an attempt remedy our problem. When asked why they would seat us with a non-private private party of 50+, he would answer as such: «I understand your issue. All I can say, is that we were able to accommodate a party of 50+. They were able to have a good time.» Didn’t even acknowledge a mistake being made on their part. Just a «Too bad, pay me» response. Safe to say we won’t be returning.

Came here with my wife and we actually didn’t even get to eat. My wife had her Florida driver’s license and she received it when she was under 21, and it was the vertical one to distinguish so. The waiter and manager at this establishment refused to serve us alcohol because, although the ID said she was 25, it was a vertical ID that she’d received while under 21. Florida gives drivers licenses that are good for 10 years. This was a horrible experience and I hope they’ve changed their policy.

Tyisha E is EXCELLENT! And I loved the attitude of the Hostesses. Food is always good. Drinks were definitely different but quite tasty. They reminded me of Down South drinks…

Four of us stopped in for lunch today and were very happy with our selections. The sassy barbecue salad with crispy chicken was delicious and perfectly dressed. The chicken wings were very crispy and perfectly prepared. The brisket was amazing extremely tender and delicious. As always, the corn bread was delicious.

I have NOIDEA what happened to this place. The food is mediocre at best now. The portions for sides in comparison to the cost ridiculous. The brisket… DRY. I will NEVER order a to-go dinner from here again. I ordered a sandwich and sassy salad with brisket and both had dry meat on them. I ordered sides to go, they were TINY in comparison to what they used to be. Three tablespoons of Mac and cheese for $ 2.59!!! No. No. And hell no. The only star was for the dessert… The banana pudding wasn’t to shabby. They changed the menu, the changed the portions, which I can kinda understand(kinda), but quality took a back seat. I used to be a regular and now I wouldn’t dare order anything from the Famous Dave’s chain.

My favorite BBQ place to go to. The corn bread is so delicious. I always have a hard time deciding between the brisket, BBQ chicken and ribs. They are all so good! This is my go to place for BBQ.

My wife received a coupon for her birthday to be used at Famous Dave’s. Think what you will about Famous Dave’s and their food, the service is consistently excellent and the food is good. My wife and I have been to at least a dozen Famous Dave’s restaurants in five states and while we may not have always been completely thrilled we have never left disappointed. Until the Waldorf location. We called the Waldorf location to order a rack of ribs and brisket for my wife’s birthday dinner. We thought we would use the coupon(buy one entrée, get a second half off), my wife called to give our order and about half way through the order the call dropped. She immediately called back(30 seconds later, maybe), and the same server completely forgot the conversation with my wife so had to start the order process from the beginning. Throughout the ordering process the server was curt and short. Once my wife finished her order, she asked the server to repeat it to ensure it was complete. What followed was a big exasperated sigh and an annoyed recitation of the order. The server forgot the last item… the corn bread When the order was complete, my wife gave the coupon information; the server informed my wife she could not use the coupon because the two entrees had to be the same price(the coupon clearly states the two entrees can be of same price, or the lesser of the two entrees will be discounted). I told my wife I would talk to them when I picked up the order. When I arrived at the pick-up counter there was nobody there. This was a Sunday at 2PM and the restaurant was not very busy. I did see a manager and a couple of servers chatting by the front door, occasionally glancing in the direction of the growing line at the pick-up counter. After about five minutes someone came out from the kitchen, looked at the line and shouted, «Hey guys! Get out here!» A server came out soon after and asked for my name. She gave me the total and I showed her the coupon, which she refused to honor. The kitchen person came out again, and said the coupon was only for entrees. When I explained that the web site menu had the brisket and ribs under the«Entrée» section, he relented and discounted the brisket. I waited a further 20 minutes for my order, listening to the servers talk about what they were going to do when they get off shift, and soon noticed people who gave their orders after me picking theirs up. The kitchen person again came out and asked me what I ordered, and I said my wife phoned in the order and thought they would have written it down… he found the order slip and started looking at the holding rack. He found my order had been sitting on the holding rack the entire time I had been there. The kitchen person reviewed the contents and discovered the corn bread was missing. He came back with two corn bread orders and I was on my way. When I got home, the food was already cold and the brisket was tough and dry. By far the worst experience we have ever had at a Famous Dave’s.

Was not very impressed with this chain BBQ. Everything tasted pre made and refrigerated and reheated. The sides were just ok and the décor is cheap and tacky. Service was pretty good mostly due to the fact that there was not a ton of patrons. Really wanted it to be good, but won’t waste my money here.

This place is average in taste, portions and price. I got the Baby Back’s with Georgia Pulled Pork and beans and Mac & Cheese. I ate all of it. The bar area was set up well, but not clean. My area was sticky and I had to wipe it down myself. Pretty accessible location.

The I ordered a ribs and meat combo. The ribs were over cooked and dry and the wings were over cooked. I should have known it was bc they took 10 min longer to cook my food than what they originally said. I wouldn’t order from them again. Cole slaw was good and potato salad was decent.

Good BBQ, casual dining and decent prices for families! They have order to go, so you can place your order and head home to pig out.

Never had ribs and hadn’t tried because I didn’t want to look dumb because of not know the when and how of the eating with one’s fingers. A fellow member of the Channel 70 Productions crew acted as a guide and we headed for Famous Dave’s. I had the babyback plate. Wonderful food. A bonus to the great service and staff. And, the restaurant was warm. So many businesses turn down the thermostat to save a buck when temps drop. Not here. Lucia was our server and was the best.

I wasted a hearty appetite. :(The food is mediocre. Should have known by how fast it comes out. Customer Service is lacking. I woulda been better off buying fake bbq chicken from KFC than driving all the way from Fort Wash! The Mac and cheese has corn in it the«feast» for 3 was $ 40 and they gave us ¼ rack of ribs. I could go on and on but if you want good bbq this place is not it

My sister was adamant that Famous Dave’s was one of the better barbecue spots in the DMV area, so I took her up on the offer of heading there for a quick lunch. For a Saturday afternoon, the crowd was light and so we were seated promptly. In addition to their standard menu, we were also provided with a lunch menu which offered a wealth of options at a reasonable price. But don’t be fooled; though the lunch specials were offered at lunch prices, those portion sizes were huge! I opted for the lunch combo with the pulled pork and buffalo boneless chicken bites and a side of french fries(all of it tasted great and was well seasoned) and I could only make it through half of it. And their sweet tea is no doubt«southern style» which means that your sweet taste buds will be screaming at you for objecting them to that sugar overload(though it is rather tasty). The service was exceptional and overall, a great experience. I will definitely be returning.

Hated it. This placed sucked. I went there late night but no excuses for what they charged me. The Brisket was dry and it was extremely expensive. I’ve had Famous Dave’s out in VA where you can get a better experience for a better price. I much preferred the FD in Annapolis in comparison.

Not pleased at all, employees on phones in the corner. They appeared unkempt. We were seated in the bar area, while the place was empty, would have preferred to sit in a dining area. My wife thought the ribs were micro waved, had high hopes for good BBQ. Will be a very long time before I come back. I do not normally give bad reviews but the whole feel of the evening did not feel right, should have moved on when I saw no cars in the parking lot. I hope it gets back to the way it used to be. … awesome food

Absolutely the best restaurant experience my family had while visiting my daughter in Waldorf. The service was outstanding. The food was outstanding and the cleanliness, overall décor was outstanding. The price was perfect and the food was enjoyed by each of us. Go there, you will not be disappointed!

Went here for my brother’s birthday not too long ago and I gotta say it was quite disgusting on my end. Upon walking in we weren’t greeted as warmly as I would’ve liked and the atmosphere was uninviting. I also noticed a stickiness on the tables and the area in which we were sitting was not as clean as it should’ve been. I think everybody is familiar w/that feeling of dirtiness unseen where you just don’t know where it’s coming from. Not to my surprise, we were seated but had to wait a couple of min just for our waiter to greet us and get us started w/drinks. However, I will not discredit him because he was very friendly and apologized for the wait. Eventually we got our drinks, and were able to order our food. It took about 30 min to come out which isn’t ridiculously long, but still pushing it for me. I ordered the rib tips w/their mash potatoes and corn. And all of it was borderline inedible. When I tell you that I had to exert serious energy just to chew through the meat which btw mimicked a slim Jim more than ribs, it was that real. By the time I neared close to the last few I had given up because they also were not fresh. The mash potatoes were clearly not made from potatoes and after altering my jaw and using the mash potatoes to sooth it in between I couldn’t even stomach trying the corn. Needless to say, I sent a full plate back & I will not be returning to this establishment ever. They clearly don’t care for the taste buds or dental care of their customers.

You can order food to-go online and it tells you the estimated time to pick it up. Thumbs up for that. The Georgia BBQ and rack of ribs were awesome… so was the corn bread that came with it. We didn’t dine in, so that’s all I can say. :P
