Bayside Bar & Grill

After spending part of the day chasing walleyes on Leach Lake I had to stop and try the burger at Bayside. It is a little dive bar right on the main business street and you can smell the musty old cigarette smoke as you enter. The interior is like hundreds of other little bars in small town America really nothing to set it apart.
I ordered the special of the day a double cheese burger with fries for $ 10 and a Stella. The burger was real greasy and just a little undercooked but I rolled the dice and ate it anyway. The fries were almost cold but cooked so I assume that was due to bad timing on the part of the short order cook. The Stella was good though and much needed after being on the water in the sun and the wind.
The bathrooms were spotless so kudos for that and the bartender was a quiet but courteous fellow. All in all just an ok burger at a rather non descript bar in a nice little town. I will be back to Leech Lake next month to fish again but I will try somewhere else next time.

Awesome Long Island Ice Tea for $ 5 on Friday. Their walleye tacos are very good. The only complaint would be that the cole slaw used was too runny with mayo but a little better draining of the cole slaw is all that is needed to correct. Our bartendar/​waiter was very quick and friendly with his service. The bar is a little dive but the service and food exceed what is expected of them. The 502 Bar down the street located in the Chase Hotel could learn a think or too about service.

Really good! Driving in with a friend for a fishing trip. This place was a clean greasy spoon bar but food was excellent! We had the philly sandwich, wings, and slaw. All were well above average. The philly was as good as one in Philadelphia! Slaw was fresh. Everything, even the blue cheese dressing seemed fresh and house made. Only slight negative would be the décor. Typical cheap bar décor.

Decent small town bar. Food is average at best. Good service, but not sure why the other reviews were so amazing. Definitely disappointing.

Watched the soccer game here with a large family group. Our sever was very accommodating and helpful with some complicated dietary restrictions some in our group had, and was overall friendly and efficient. The food was typical bar food, but elevated and priced very fairly. The walleye tacos were awesome, and my kids enjoyed their burgers. We would definitely come back on our next trip to Walker!

For a dive bar this one has top notch food. The walleye is fresh and you couldn’t ask for better service theirs not a better bartender on town.

I want to say this was a great place and a great atmosphere. Andrea if you read this thanks for the smile and being introduced to everyone. The place is like any small town watering hole. The front area looks nice kind of a small bar though only seats 10 i think. But pleanty of seating everywhere else. As i was driving from duluth to fargo did not partake in alcohol consumption. I had a burger with fries. Fries were good and burger was solid. Juicy and done medium i like medium rare but medium is in my opinion a perfectly good option for a burger. What sttuck me were the wings. Crispy and flavorful on outside i had the buffalo and jerk. Jerk flavor was the best i even ordered some to go and eat later they were that good. Not the best wings i have ever ate, but they are up there in top 3. This was just a pleasant surprise on a 4 to 5 hour drive from fargo to duluth and back. This place is a great choice butit is a bar, so maybe not great for kids. The menu is not huge but personally to me that says to me they want to do a couple of things well and not have a crowded menu. Definitely recommend. Also walker seems like a good town to actually have a mini weekend vacation.

The owner let me sit at bar waiting to greet me while he and cook debated how to say thank you and Lunch in Spanish

«BEST» Wallieye fish tacos I ever had ! California I’m very disappointed this is not you & I have to wait til I visit Minnesota to eat here again. This is not even a fish you can get in CA. Bummer. Little hole in the wall. Just by chance we ate here while we were in the town of Walker, MN. Thank you ! It was sooooo good ! Oh ! The Kringle French Fries were out of this world, too.
